  1. I think you missed my point on this one. If you re read my post you will see that i roll mirror classes (example balance sage/madness sorc), and use one legacy set for those two characters. Also in my post i put that i like to mix legacy pieces for unique looks for these sets. As such unlocking them to reclaim in collections as per character pieces are worthless to me, and as such not worth buying cartel market armors at all. I am not going to waste my time and in game credits pulling mods out of a non legacy set, putting them in legacy storage, re-logging then putting them in yet another set, not when i can just use legacy gear and legacy storage to transfer instant with no mod pulling needed. But with legacy armor i can share between mirror classes, at present i have two mirror class sets and i am close to having a third all in legacy sets to share between the mirror classes. With a legacy collection unlock they would be worth buying for more pieces to mix and match legacy looks. With a legacy version unlock legacy users like me would be more likely to purchase, it would not affect credit sinks as whether cartel legacy armor or non cartel i would do it the same. This would give a new source of income as people who use legacy would buy sets, then legacy unlock, on top of people buying and unlocking for single char use. As it stands legacy users have no use for cartel gear.
  2. I agree with this idea. As stated there are plenty of unrestricted legacy sets and cartel sets that can make give you the attire look of other classes. My reason for supporting this is making new looks. I have balance sage and madness sorcerer in full legacy gear including the weapon and offhand. The set they are wearing is made up of pieces from 5-6 different unrestricted legacy sets with a dye module in chest unified, so i can use legacy gear while having more of a unique look of my own design instead of the standard set appearances. Then i have a bh/trooper mirrored classes in rakghoul set. I need to make a set for my agent/smuggler. A marauder/sentinel in the same set as my sorc/sage (when i get my sent leveled up anyway), which i would like to modify with different pieces so it is not same. With class restrictions removed off these i would have more legacy pieces to mix and match to make even more looks for different chars and companions, and it would not change anything in regard to legacy gear and credit sinks due to the amount of unrestricted already. As a side note i also think that with cartel market purchased armor, once you have bought i add a second unlock option, leave the normal unlock and add an unlock as legacy this would boost sales among people like me, as i currently have no use for non legacy equipment which all the cartel gear is. If it was legacy i would buy them for more pieces to make unique set looks. As it stands cartel gear while some of it looks great is not worth buying to me.
  3. Can we get an update on what is going on, it has been approximately 24 hours since this happened, and all we have heard is we'll look into it. Considering that these are two major QoL feature that lots of people paid irl cash for that have been broken, been kept informed on what is being done about this issue is only reasonable. A quick one line update once a day is not too much to ask, even if that update is just telling us that they are still trying to find out what caused the issue.
  4. Same here, purchased cooldown unlocks for fleet pass and quick travel are not working again. A quick google shows a thread made on 10th june about it happening, i remember it happening before but had to google the date. Given it is 30th september that makes it roughly 3.75 months since this last happened. Having a repeat of a patch related bug that happened only a few months ago is ridiculous, the issue that causes patches to mess these things up should have been fixed last time round.
  5. I log in pick up the voss weekly go and do the first heroic then go to click my quick travel to get back to the terminal, just to find the cooldown time has been increased to 25 minutes. So i mouse over my fleet pass and find the cooldown on that has been increased to 3 hours. Now i understand bugs happen, but this is not the first time that these features have been broken immediately following a patch. A patch bug fine can deal, a patch bug identical to a bug from a previous patch is a bit much. Why was the issue that caused this during patching not fixed last time? Well this is going to make voss weekly really fun, get to spend a ton of time traveling instead of using my cooldown reduced travel that i unlocked with coins bought with irl money. I would suggest some small compensation due to it being a repeat of what has happened before would be fair, but lets face it that won't happen. If a bug happens i am cool with that, but the same thing multiple times is a joke.
  6. Disagree on this one because of the potential misuse pointed out previous, and because mistakes can be avoided by paying attention. 1. The sorting listed wrong - Nothing hard on this one, double check to make sure the list is sorted lowest to highest. 2. Mistake made due to to tired - If you are too tired to be able to read the pricing do not go on the gtn simple. 3. Thinking the last set of digits was decimals - Learn the numbering system, the decimal credits are TWO digits long, if it is three digits then it is clearly not a decimal. If you fall for this it is your fault for not learning the pricing method. 4. Sorting by price per item instead of total price - Read the name of the column you are clicking to make sure it is the right one, simple. I have made both the decimal and the sorting mistake myself. When i made the sorting i took the hit for not checking and after that checked EVERY TIME, on the decimal after making it i looked into it learned part credits only list to two decimal places so i then knew anything with more than two after a separator was not a part credit. Neither time did i kick off, moan about scammers, ask for changes, or threaten to quit, i simply learned from MY MISTAKES, and made sure not to repeat them again.
  7. OK so i load the client, i get the following message: The login service is currently unavailable. Please visit our forums for updates on the status of this service. I have checked the forums, there is no updates or information on this that i can find, so i check the tor twitter feed, it says login issues have been resolved. Does anyone know what is going on, twitter says login in fixed, my client says login is unavailable and the forums have no information.
  8. Ok so a dev posted after i asked this question, still no answer on which of the two differant planned finish times posted are right. So it is either about 15mins till they are up or about 2 hour 15mins till they are up. It would have took less than 10 seconds just to say which planned time is the right one.
  9. When you login on the client it says they expect the servers to be available again 7AM PDT (2PM GMT), yet in the opening post in this thread it says 5AM PST (12PM GMT). SO which is it, because i am seeing two different sets of information here.
  10. Given you can unlock quickbars, hide head slot, artifact authorization, additional quickbars, bank and inventory slots and additional character slots permanently. Then you can unlock unlimited access to flashpoints, ops and pvp on a weekly basis, removing this would be a bad idea. People could just get all that stuff, which sure would provide a short term cash gain for bioware, but then they would have no reason to sub since they would have everything unlocked permanent except for the weekly ops and such, them they could just purchase. It would massively drop sub numbers and kill regular income for the game. With the credit limit for non subs removed, i would immediately unsub, farm credits to purchase all the permanent unlocks, then just buy op and flashpoint weekly unlocks off the gtn. I would never sub again since i could get full access to the game without having to spend any of my irl cash, i believe tons of others would do the same also.
  11. I think you are misunderstanding the idea, when you have a ton of characters it is hard to keep track. I have tokens from gree and rak spread across 6 toons that will take weeks to use up. Then next week is bounty week so that makes a third set of rep tokens spread out all over. Since they are character bound i cannot consolidate them together. With the time limited events you only get small windows to earn them but the vendors remain, so it is a case of gathering up tokens to hit the rep you want after the event for things you want to buy. If you only did it on one char it would take 5-6 of the events to get the needed tokens, doing it on multiples you can grind it in one go but it takes 5-6 weeks to use up the tokens. Try having over a months worth of rep tokens for multiple reps spread out over loads of chars, it is a pain having to log in and out of so many just to see if they are the ones with the tokens on them. We are not talking about spreading the tokens out so you have to log onto N chars instead of one like you posted, we are talking about taking tokens from runs on multiple alts and mailing them to one player so you do not have them spread out, you have them all on one player. Changing them to legacy bound will make things alot easier for alot of people, i only have 6 chars to check through, but i know people with 15+ chars to check for tokens, imagine the relogging time each week for that.
  12. I support both ways, anything that allows me to stack all my tokens together in one place works for me. I do have preference of one over the other. 1. Legacy bound tokens - Since i store my legacy treek heal and tank sets, and my currency tokens on my main i would prefer this as i can then store tokens on my main too, keeping my important legacy based stuff all in one place. 2. Legacy Bank - This would be an acceptable alternative since i could still store all my rep tokens in one place.
  13. I agree it would be a nice adjustment. I had no rep with gree, and farmed a lot of tokens, enough to get me to champion status from having no rep rank at all. Now i am doing the same with the rak tokens, and next week will be doing the same with the bounty hunter. I know they are all on my 5 max level characters plus my 43 sorcerer for rak, but if i could mail them it would make things easier. I will be relogging and using tokens this the last event and the bounty next week for a good month. To address the issue of gaming the system mentioned in the post above, just make them not eligible for server transfer. If a player has any on that character and they move server they loose them.
  14. I am not a fan of the cod timer myself. Personally i do not use it, when i want to sell something, i put in the post trade only no CoD, that way i only get responses from people who will trade, i get the occasional ask to wait while they relog. I am happy to wait on a relog is only a few mins. Maybe a player set time for the CoD, like you agree to send someone it both agree a pickup time limit (between 1 hour and 3 days) and you set that as the time for it. If they do not pick it up in the agreed time you set on the mail then you get it back.
  15. You get jerks in groups sometimes, you just gotta deal. I had one during the gree event, i was invited to an op i asked if it was both sm and hm was told yes in a whisper by group leader, so i said i was omw. I was going from the base having just got planet side and posted my lfg. Literally about 1 minute later i am geting grief from them for not being able to get there in two seconds. So i tell them i am going as fast as i can. So i get into the ship, i get to the entrance there is the full spawn of droids, none of the group that could have got there from the instance entrance easily even tries to help me get past, and i die. The second i do i see in chat 'OMG i can't believe were getting messed about by a dps' so i inform them i wiped on the droids outside. So i get in do the sm, then they all disapear no hm, despite the fact that i had advertised looking for both back to back, and had been told it was, so i whispered the leader who had been the main griefer, told him what i thought of his attitude, then added him to ignore before he could respond. It's not fair when you get people that grief, lie or mess you about, but it happens from time to time, just block em and move on.
  16. Agreed, it gets annoying having to setup keybinds on new characters every time. It would be good if in the interface editor we could save and load them like with ui customizations. On the respec save i agree again, personally i would not use it as i only play dps (i hate tanking, and suck as a healer). But i have seen many times in ops and such where a dps player has changed to heal or tank, and it is a long process due to changing action bars ability's. Maybe be able to save the ability bar layout, then just load the keybind for a diff spec using the method above. Or even have loading the ability sets in the customization so both can be done with a couple of clicks.
  17. I agree, for example an imperial agent should only be able to need on cunning gear. Make it as well only if it is better than what they have. For example if their gear has all 96 rating blues then they can't need 92 rating blues of their stat, but they can need 100 rating blues of their stat. Add a second button for companion need, that is higher valued than a greed role, but lesser than a standard need roll. Only the stats your current companions can use can be rolled on. That way it reduces gear being ninja'd away from people who need it to gear their characters, while giving people a legit way to need roll for their companions. Personally i find it best not to rely on flashpoints for gear. I run the dailys for comms so i can upgrade all mods every 4 to 6 levels. It only costs 95 comms for a full set. Your looking at 15 total from the lfg, 5 to 10 from the conflicts daily plus comms from boses, just from one kdy and one regular can net you 25-35 planet comms easy, more if you are in the sweet spot where you can do two daily conflict missions. That way you can do it every 3-4 days, or if you run the daily heroics on all the planets u can you can get it in 1-2 days.
  18. What peril, just get all the professions, it isn't even that hard. Get a character off the starter planet pick up the profession and level it up. All you need is one max level character either to grind credits and/or with all three gathering professions to get the mats to level up. Then you can just send them to your other characters to level up the professions, i have them all, my synthweaver is only level 29. Once you have them all you can craft anything. You don't have to have all max level toons.
  19. You need to put this in your servers forum, and one thread please, you posted this twice in general discussion
  20. It has been stated in the past that the log cannot be increased due to the load problem like caused in the profession window lists. but i was thinking about a modification that might work. We have a seperate mission tab for looking at missions of group members, so other tabs are possible, so how about splitting the mission log into differant sections. Each section could have it's own tab with a 25 mission limit per tab. It could be split into the following: 1. Normal missions 2. Daily/Weekly missions 3. PvP missions.
  21. I agree with this. I have a guild that i consider my main guild for the game, they have both rep and imp side guild. The limit is one main and one alt per side. So i have 4 characters in it. Since i have 9 characters total the others are just in random guilds. With this i am in a total of about 6 diff guilds, as most of the ones i am in simply because i want the rep and exp bonuses, and they have limits too. With guild ships coming in most guilds will save for them. But i cannot afford to help so many guilds get a flagship. I will help my main guild but that is it. On the other guilds if they wish it i would leave so they can get a member that would help get their ship to be fair to them. If it was accounts not characters then the problem would be solved since i could move them all to my main rep and imp guild. Maybe make it a choice. You can choose to base it on member numbers and have 500. Or choose to have it based on individual accounts with all players for one account counting as 1, but with a lower limit of maybe 300 accounts.
  22. This is already happening, the strongholds that are coming soon will have a legacy hold that can be accessed by all your characters.
  23. I just noticed something interesting that proves beyond a doubt that this is an exploit and is against how the server should be. On the server selection screen if you click any pve server (i have checked them all), you get this text (which i have put in red) at the bottom of the server selection window. I have also underlined the most relevant part This is the standard enviroment where players compete against computer-controlled opponents. However, if you want a chance to fight other players (PvP), fights must be consensual and in designated areas of the world. There will be no special rules enforcement for naming or chat on this server. So given when you choose a pve server it says that fights must be consensual (feel free to check out this message on the server screen to confirm this), how is this allowed to go on. I have NEVER consented to having a pvp flag forced on my, and having to fight to defend myself because i do not want to world pvp. Yet it happens, and from what i have seen in this thread it happens alot. So BW/EA have clearly stated that it must be mutual consent yet people can be force flagged against their consent. That clearly makes this an exploit, clearly makes it a violation of how pve servers are meant to be, and as such it needs to be fixed, otherwise allowing it to continue is just allowing people to exploit how a server should be run to grief people and spoil their game-play experience.

    Guild Bank

The best way to deal with this sorta thing is to set yourself some safeguards. Never give full access to someone you do not know irl. For example if your wife or husband, kids or a trusted friend you have known for alot of years is in then sure. Because you have known them for a long time and can trust them. If it is someone who has been in guild a long time and contributed alot then give them extra access, higher credit withdraw, more items than standard members as a show of trust while protecting yourself from massive theft. But never give someone you just know ingame that kind of access. Remember you know them through the game interface, you don't know them personally, so they can easily act how they want you to see them not who they really are. People can use that for long cons, getting into a position of trust with someone then ripping them off.
  25. A f2p or preferred player could use this to bypass the credit escrow, once they get close to their cap just buy some of these to stop money going into the escrow. Then when they need cash instead of getting an escrow transfer they can just use one of these for free, that would cut down on cartel market sales. The only way to avoid that would to make it subscriber only. Personally i find the mail system fine, relog to my main, which holds my cash, rep currency tokens, companion gifts ect, then mail across and relog back. With it in legacy it would be go to your stronghold, take it out of the bank then travel to where you need to be. Either way both are going to use time up getting the cash.
