  1. SO i finish work early looking forward to logging on i boot up computer load swtor and start the new quest, watch the video ect no issue. Then i start the quest after about 5mins the client locks up and wont respond. Windows brings up the option to close or wait so i click to close nothing happens, i try again and find the computer is completly unresponsive so i am tryiing to get it working and boom get hit with the blue screen of death. I wait for it to collect and reboot then go to launch game again and shortcut is invalid. So i go to launch from the program not shortcut and the drive swtor is installed on is not there. I check disk managment not there, no unalloted drives nothing, so i shtdown pull the drive and fiit another to check the bay is working it works fine, i plug the drive into the external kit the drive i fitted into the laptop was occupying it reads thank god. So i shutdown again switch the drives back they both read fine but each has the others drive letter, so i switch the drive letters back to how they were and restart, after that everythig is fixed and working. But since the bsod crash that caused the drive not to be recognised was caused by the swtor client i am now afraid to even load it since i have had to mess about fixing the consequences it caused and worry what will happen if swtor caused another bsod. So sub will be canceled till i get a response on how to deal with this. My machine is a MSI gt73VR 7RF laptop, the secondary ide has been swapped with an ssd and i have fitted 2 chips in the second ram bay to increase the ram to 48gb.
  2. You clearly completly misread my post, i never said anything about taking other peoples stuff and excluding myself from inflation fixes at all, i was pointing out that dividing peoples icredits by a factor of 1000 would severly impact the kind of players that do not farm tons of credits while not impacting the ones with huge bank accounts as much. I did not say anywhere at all about taking away from some people and excluding others i simply pointed out that cutting credits accross the board would minorly affect some while crippling others greatly. Secondly no i did not focus on outfits i simply mentioned that as i do not farm tons of credits i make em from dropped and cheap stuff as oposed to buying expensive stuff. The whole point of my post was to explain that dividing everyones credits by 1000 was not viable because it would affect some greatly and others not as greatly, as such is not a viable solution. The irony here is drew that i am agreing completly with what you and steve are saying using examples from the pertspective of a less wealthy player just like you are from your own perspective as a wealthy player yet you took it as an attack I did not say anywhere that some should have there credits cut and others not, i did not say that some should have things cut and others not i simply pointed out that it is an unviable fix with reasons presented why. I was arguing for this idea NOT TO BE USED AT ALL, not for it only to be used on some not others. My previous post explained That would certainly cut the whales money, but what about players like me. - statment of fact it would I don't farm credits i just play the game, make my outfits mainly using drops and cheap items i can get off the gtn. Your idea would take me down to less than 500k credits accross my entire account. - statment that it would leave some next to broke This would take me from someone who can afford repairs and buy basic nessecities and cheap outfit while having a comfortable cash reserve to a player that would become broke from repair bills in a week. I would be punished and have my gameplay impacted drasticly just to cut whales earnings. - Pointing out that it would bankrupt some while just drasticly cutting others earningd. Bare in mind with your idea every 1bil divided into 1000 would make it 1million, so those of us that don't activly build tons of credits would be left without even enough for repairs, stims and medpacs. - pointing out again it would bankrupt some people While those with tons of credits would still be super rich compared to everyone else, and since it had been done on a flat number they would still be able to rebuild because billions would now equal millions so they would still be able to corner the markets and sell things super high, just with their wealth having a few less zero's on it. - pointing out that this would FIX NOTHING as the rich would still be rich just with a few less zeros in their accounts But the non whale players would have no wealth and not enough creds for basic needs, this idea just makes it bad for people less that 1biil credits and affects nothing but the number of zero's in their wealth for the whales. - summing up that it a not a viable idea due to variabe effects at differant wealth levels, as such somethig that should not be implemented. Please tell me where in my post i stated that some peoples stuff should be taken and others excluded because i have reread my post and cannot even find anything that could be misinterpreted as that. The irony here drew is i completly agree with what you and steve are saying. I simply argued against credit removals from my own perspective just as you argued it from your perspective, and you took it as an attack where there was not one.

  4. I dislike the sabers on the back myself, but it is not an issue. I got an on the back one with 306 mods which went on the back, i just got a bound to legacy one that goes on the belt and put the mods into that. If it is during leveling and it's a non modded just buy some mods off the fleet vendor and put them in a belt attached one to have a currant weapon thats on the belt.
  5. Been reading through this from time to time, can't say i am too familiar with how the market got so inflated but i do have an idea for a solution that i havn't seen in here (unless i have missed a post somewhere). Make a second auction house but with a differance. 1. Players cannot sell anything on here. 2. The items are put on by the game, either by staff or some sort of algorithym to determin it. 3. All items on it are removed stuff from the game, non obtainable mounts, retired cartel market items that kinda thing, or super rare cartel market drops. Basically the kinda stuff that is impossible or super hard to get with rng. 4. Two cagagories stocked speratly, first instant buy with a minimum price of 1billion credits. 5. Second catagory a blind bid system on a timer, player put in what they are willing to pay, winner gets it, loosers get there credits back less a comission maybe 5-10% As it does not involve a player to player transaction and it is items placed by the game, the credits from buying it or the comission lost from the players that did not have a winning bid are just sucked out of the game. I believe this would be an advantage as the cash rich players get super rare pieces in exchange for those credits being sucked out of the game. Also as these credits are no longer being passed round the gtn minus whats lets facte it is a small tax on the sale, it would help lessen the rampant inflation as there would be a second avenue for large sums of excess credits to be dumped into. If anyone has suggestions on tweaks or changes, or differant paths to go on this i welcome discussion, this is just a broad outline not a finished idea.
  6. Mine i have 4 stacked at the bottom in the middle and two set to 4 rows of three at either side, because i have a logitech g600 i use the third button as a shift modifier so from left to right i have the following left side 4x3 - Nothing bound, put stuff like quick travel, fleet pass, trainers ect on it. Small gap before other bars Middle stacked 12 rows - 1-5, q-t, a-g, z-v then a single colum space then same again but with shift modifiers then another single colum space Right side 4x3 - Mouse button binds. I like this setup because the empty colums between the no modifier, shift modifier and mouse binds make it eaiser for me to see to track cooldowns, if all three bind sections were bunched together it would make it harder for me. Plus it makes it easider to sort bind types, like for example i can use a-g for defensive ability binds, then use the shift a-g for offensive binds, 1-5 for rotational single target then shift 1-5 for long cooldown single target, same again with aoe on q-t. This way i can see the differant types of abilities at a glance and easily track what is available to use, others wouldnt like this setup because it wastes 8 button spaces creating artifical gaps. Best thing to do is look at what others have posted about there setup, do some image search for swtor ui setups to see others, use it to give you a base idea of what looks best to you then customise it to your needs. If your needs change and you play more then tweak it more to fit. Also remember you can save and load setups so you don't have to stick to one you can have multiple for different classes or roles, or just design one that works for all and stick with it.
  7. Looking at it every event currency has been done this way, all the former items converted into legacy tokens that you trade back and forth for the currency. I have looked up on the cartel bazzar at this stuff. I looked on the bba it has completed contact token that you trade for the currency, and completed bounty contract currency that you trade for the token. It is on the BBA aquisition officer vendor. On the Rakghoul you have rakghoul dna token that you trade for the currency, and rakghoul dna cannister currency that you trade for the token. They are on captain raya haedele in the bazzar. For the gree you have grey helix token that you trade for the currency, and grey helix components currency that you trade for the token. They are on zilok'k in the bazzar. To my knowlage it is only the recurring events that have had it happen not other stuff like mannan tokens and such from flashpoints. If your contracts have not been converted into tokens and are still the old item they will not work. They should all have been tokens that you can trade back and forth at the vendors listed above (plus vendors in the event areas during). If you still have the old bounty contract items instead of the new tokens you need to submit a suport ticket.
  8. I finally figured it out. The DNA canister in the currency tab is not bound to legacy it appears only on the toon you bought it on. But you can trade the canister back for a rakghould dna token which is a legacy item at the vendors. You then send the token to your alt, use the token to buy a canister to get stuff from the rep vendor. So instead of having one item you can just put in legacy bank or mail, you now have an item that you trade in for a currency then use that currency to buy stuff. If you want the currency on another toon, you trade the currency for a legacy token, send that to your alt, trade it for the currency, then use that to buy the items. That just seems to be an unnecessary complication to the whole process. What was wrong with have the cannister use it on any toon. How is this complicated trading back and forth between two types to use in on alts better. On the plus side at least i got my tokens back so all my rak currency is not stuck on a single toon.
  9. They are not, it appears on the toon i bought them on, but when i logged onto a differant toon they are not in the currency tab for that char.
  10. I had some old rakghoul dna tokens in my legacy bank so i went to turn them in for the cannisters. Every other time it has appeared as an item that could be sent to any char. For some reason this time went into my currency tab. Now the thing is that the item tooltip when you buy it says it is bound to legacy, the tooltip on it in the currency tab says it is bound to legacy. So since it is bound to legacy how do i get it out of my currency so i can send it to other chars. I would never traded them ALL in on the same char if i had known about this. It says bound to legacy so it should be legacy transferable, if they are going to change it and that is no longer possible then they should at least update the tooltip at the same time they make the change so people know it is no longer a legacy item.
  11. Checked the 4 that i play regular and found a massive list of issues, i put in a ticket but posting them here since dev post said to keep reporting comp stuff in this thread. Char 1 On this char i had unlocked all companions from storyline and alliance alerts except for the voss star fortress one. Upon logging today alot were missing, i used the companion terminal to get most back but the following are still listed as unavailable. Andronikos Revel - Listed Twice in companion window with differant affection levels Ashara Zavros - Listed Twice in companion window with differant affection levels This may have been from the companioon return terminal, if they were already unlocked when i went through to get my missing ones back then it unlocked them a second time. 2V-R8 - unavailable and cannot recruit him since i already did the quest and unlocked him Talos Drellik - Unavailable and cannot recruit him since i already did power with knowlage Xalek - Unavailable and cannot recruit him since i already did Death before dishonor So i cannot get these three back even tho i did the quests to unlock them well before this patch. Char 2 2V-R8 - Listed twice both in my list of available companions, and an an unavailable companion, can summon him tho so just an error in unavailable companion list. Char 3 C2-N2 - Listed twice both in my list of available companions, and an an unavailable companion, can summon him tho so just an error in unavailable companion list. Char 4 Scorpio not returning from companion terminal, has been returned on the other three characters in this list using the terminal. This is quite a long list of errors for companions on only four characters. The thing that disturbs me is, that on the three i have used the mission skip i only have a couple of display errors and a companion that won't return using the console. Yet on my main (Char 1) that i put alot of effort into, did all the chapters, unlocked all except one companion (still can't figure out how to solo voss fortress), i had a ton of companions removed and had to restore them via terminal, errors in my companion display and three unrecoverable companions that i had unlocked. This patch has majorly messed up the one char i had put effort into.
  12. Not assuming, two people posting about not being able to log in, no responses about it from other players or from the devs, but both players and devs posting about companion issues after login issues had been posted about. I would certainly call not even an acknowlagment from devs even tho after these issues were raised there were posts by them, combined with posts from players literally saying it is pointless to post about it since it will be ignored is sufficent reason to say no one cares. Anyway i'll take my leave of this thread since my issues don't seem to matter, maybe when i can actually play i might come in and report any companion issues if i have any. But right now i am at 3 hours downtime, two mins play, then 8 hours unable to access between second downtime and the mess it made of things for me. Eleven hours unable to access and not even an acknowlagment of the problem. Interesting how i patched and logged in fine after the first downtime, then after the second even tho i downloaded nothing and did nothing my game was frakked.
  13. I had the same thing happen to me got This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again I couldn't redownload the patch, varify in settings or do a forced bitraider varify. I had to uninstall both the game and bitraider then go into my appdata folders and delete anything for swtor or bitraider. Then reinstalled, and it patching worked again, of course since i gotta download and patch the entire game it is gonna take hours, am currently at 66% started 1h 40m ago and thats on a 4.5mb/s download rate. I posted on here about it and everyone ignored it, no one cares about those of us that cannot access, if it isn't about companions or choices messed up it will be ignored.
  14. I patched before the game was took down a second time to fix the bugs, then after it was brought back up i can't all i get is the following message on the launcher. This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again Great ain't it, game took down for maintinance, i patch get on for like two minutes then it is taken down again. Then when it is brought back up i can't even get on because of some error that did not exist before it was taken down. Can't repair install because that button in the launcher settings does not work. Tried the forcing bitraider to varify game files method does not work. Can't exactly try the patch again cuz to do that the game would have to be able to download the patch which it won't cuz it is already done. So now i gotta reinstall the entire game. But hey i only been waiting 8.5 hours to get on, whats another 4 to reinstall thanx to the second takedown messing things up completly for me.
  15. One sidenote when it comes toloosing companions from the autocomplete choices. All that means is that for the story they are dead, you can still get them back from the companion return console even if they are killed or if it is from a choice of one or the other. For example, on my main torien died and because i chose imperial i got quinn instead of elena and even tho i saved scorpio i lost her at iokath when she merged with the planet. As far as the story is concerned they are gone and won't be involved in future events. But i used the companion terminal to get all three back. All it will affect is the way certain story points go, you can get any companion back. https://postimg.cc/tZrjCXSc As you can see on that i have them all. Three of them could be from before so the screenshot is not proof on torien, vette and scorpio. But quinn and elara are an either or choice, but i have both showing the terminal does give all comps lost /choice rejected during the story. Humorous sidenote, you can put elara in talos drelliks imperial outfit. Kinda wrong and cruel putting anti empire elara in impy uniform but is possible.
  16. I see alot of these but have never gone for them. SImply put i don't trust them. I am meant to use my first time click that i only get once on the promise that i will be paid afterwords. Seems kinda scammy to me,
  17. This isn't the solution to the grouping issue but it might help. When i get stuck on a boss i check guides and usually is a case of i have missed something. In one case a while ago i was dying on a boss because i wasn't standing behind certain adds that absorb the damage, and wasn't damaging them till repair mode to remove the bosses shield. Died twice on that one, then after reading a guide managed to down it no issue. Below is a link for the chiss fp, bosses. http://dulfy.net/2017/11/30/swtor-a-traitor-among-the-chiss-flashpoint-guide/#Guardian_Droid
  18. So recentally i used my free expansion boosts on a couple of toons, not realising until way too late that it meant certain unique rewards were impossible to attain. In my case the republic and imperial hk skins. I put a ticket in requesting them as an item restoration, after a few back and forths it was explained to me that they cannot grant them since the boosted char mission skip is classed as working as intended so items from skipped can't be granted. Sufficed to say i consider blocking people who pay extra for boosts from recieving certain items to be unfair. To address this i suggest they add a vendor to the fleets that sell these unique rewards for a small fee, maybe 1k per item or something. To keep it fair i suggest that the vendor is available to both boosters and people who leveled from scratch. This way boosters can get stuff they missed out on, and people who didn't boost can use it as a reclaim for unique rewards they don't have anymore. This would also cut down on item restoration tickets, since unique items could be repurchased anytime.
  19. ptr is for testing only, you can't take anything back from it to live. Especially not 252 gear that isn't even implemented in live yet lol. Allowing ptr back to live has never been allowed or possible on any mmo i have ever played. it is called Public TEST Realm for a reason. Allowing people to take stuff from testing back to live would cause huge imbalance problems.
  20. I found this embedded gift calculator spreadsheet googling, you put in your legacy companion gift bonus, current level and influence in your current rank , and it tells you how many of each gift is needed per influence bracket. In the case of gifts you can purchase it tells you the total you need to spend in the relevant currency too. https://torcommunity.com/guides/companions#calculator It includes a link to the original sheet to download it, but for some reason when i do the downloaded sheet never works, but the website one works fine.
  21. You know, you're the only other person with any common sense whatsoever not only within this thread, but I bet on the forum as a whole. The others just spew forth nonsense out of their halitosis infected mouths, and up to now, have not comprehended what I have stated. It's a real shame that these ingrates will take the time to initiate a negative retort instead of understanding what was posted and crafting a response around that. What's even funnier is that this was directed towards Bioware themselves; no where did I ask for the input of those who are not only beneath me intellectually, but also beneath me in every other aspect. Smh... By creating this thread you asked for input, these are forums, as in a place of public discussion, Everyone has the right to post their thoughts and opinions on any thread so long as they stick to the forum rules. Try having an actual discussion regarding the pro's and con's. You stated here this is the only person who makes sense because they stated it is useless for 1-60 leveling content. First i have never used a cleanse on any class (i have each class + ac) during leveling. So gonna go as far to say i consider all cleanses(force/mental/tech/physical)are worthless for leveling in my opinion. But others may find them useful during leveling. But on endgame they are very useful, especially in some of the newer hm flashpoints and ops (self cleansing when you can to take pressure off the healer since they have to look after alot of players in ops), so saying something is useless based on leveling pve content does not warrant removal. To warrent removal you need to prove that it is useless in leveling, ops, flashpoints, pvp and heroic missions. Also note that classes get cleanses based on what type they are, force users get mental/force, non force classes get tech/physical. This is the way it is, to get the ability to cleanse all you need to be a healer. How exactly does it make sense to remove force users mental/force cleanse while not asking for the non force classes tach/physical to be removed. You are basicly asking for a class to have no cleanse while others stil have there class type cleanse. All you are doing is insulting anyone who posts something in the pro side of things (see the statement above describing everyone as below you intellectually and in every other way, and the spewing out of halitosis infected mouths comment). If you are as intellectually superior as you claim a rational discussion should not be too hard for you, instead of throwing insults and taking shots at people who do not agree with you.
  22. Wtih the exception of the two flashpoint daily randoms then yeah everything is weekly. I've posted my list of what i know to get them along with a total of what it adds up to. I have omitted the elites per boss kill in 60hm flashpoint since i forget how many it is, so there are extra elites there not accounted for. I think it is 2 per boss for the 60hm fp but i am not sure, but either way if you are struggling to get comms just doing the daily random run of both hm flashpoints with the hm flashpoint weekly, with the boss comms in the 60hm fp's will cap you. Thats how i did it to get everything i could to 192 then started doing ops for the set pieces, relics and mainhand. Searching for allies Weekly: 6 Elite Tactical Flashpoints Weekly: 10Elite 4Ult - Note only Blood Hunt + Battle of RIshi Tact count towards this one Level 50 HM Flashpoint: 10 for daily fp (70 per week if done every day) Hard Mode Flashpoint: 16 for daily fp (112 per week if done every day) plus comms from bosses Hard Mode Flashpoint weekly: 10Elite 4Ult Ravagers Weekly: 20 Elite 10ult Temple of Sacrifice Weekly: 20 Elite 10ult Both raids 8man: 4 elite per boss (20per raid) for 40 total (if i remember right) Cz198, Oricon & Makeb Weeklies: 12 elite per weekly Yavin4 Weekly: 4 elite Yavin4 The enemy within: 4 elite Yavin4 Walking on hallowed Grounds: 14 elite (4 from quest, 10 from walker kill) Total comms from this list: 346 Elite (not counting the 60 hm flashpoint boss loot comms) Not sure about the 16m raid comm drops per boss i have only done 8sm due to the fact 16sm loot was same as 8sm up until the recent patch. If 16sm drops more elites then that will make the total higher, not that it matters since that list is well over the cap lol.
  23. Sorry but i am against this completely. In fact this very thing is what caused me to move here from WoW. They introduced this, it was meant to be for the next expansion and only purchasable to the cap of the previous xpac. But because they brought it out before the xpac people were able to buy max level toons. This majorly messed up alot of pugged group content as you would get people who had bought their players level, and did not have the slightest clue how to play their classes. This lead to so many wipes and fails in gf style group content.
  24. It's not really the only reason people want legacy armor. I have each class and ac, i always choose the mirror spec for each advanced class. That way i can share armor between characters. All of them have the armor and where it is possible weapons and offhands legacy. Plus before the 192 companion gear came out i used two sets of legacy gear for treek tank/heal. I do not use them to move mods, i use it to gear share. Giving mods to other chars via legacy gear would defeat the purpose of legacy gear for me as the cost of moving mods each time for mirror classes would be too high. I think the best way would be when you get the armor normally off the gtn or from packs it stays as it is now. But once you collection unlock it any you claim from your collection are legacy bound. I believe this would increase sales of armors and collection unlocks. Legacy armor sharers like me have no use for cartel gear for the most part (i think the only cartel piece i have is an autocannon, simply because only one ac uses that and i saw a sweet one real cheap). But given the limited selection of legacy gear, i would acquire cartel gear then collection unlock it in order to be able to customize my gear more, if collection unlocks gave me legacy versions.
  25. Mission/Crafting crit is based on several factors, which can be missed as they are not all displayed Mission Difficulty (the color coding of the mission title shows this) Orange: 10% Crit Chance Yellow/Green/Gray: 15% Crit Chance Companion Affection 5% crit at max affection, not sure about efficiency from affection since i always go for the crit. Companion Bonuses The only ones displayed so you can see them on your crewskill pane. Looking at this, if you take a yellow mission (15%), max affection comp (5%), comp with 5% crit chance. Then you get a 25% chance of a critical chance. Tho bare in mind it is still rng based so that does not guarantee a crit every four times, it just means you get the 25% chance per mission/craft. It is just possible to get lucky and get multiple crits in a row, as it is to go a lot of times with no crit.
