  1. The sphere mounts are, indeed, pretty swank. (Honestly, all of the Gree stuff is kind of awesome.) Personally, I'm holding out for a red sphere, to go with my marauder's red scalene armor.
  2. While I'm partial to the long-hair-with-topknot hairstyle that we got for human males, I'd certainly like to see some further long hair options for men. I'd especially like to be able to make a male Sith pureblood with actual long, unbound hair.
  3. Hmmmmmmm... I'm not sure about that. Of the various nonhuman companions I've dealt with, so far, in the game, species identity seems to be pretty important. Vette's experience of being a Twi'ek is fairly central to her personality, and Kaliyo's experience as a Rattataki has clearly shaped who she is. Likewise, Qyzen is who and what he is specifically because he's a Trandoshan, and the same can be said for Khem and his identity as a Deshade.
  4. Species that cannot plausibly engage in companion romances (which is to say, species that lack a fundamentally human-like face) aren't going to be made playable. A search around the forums will turn up various threads with developer quotes to that effect.
  5. Agreed. I have a hard time grasping why dedicated PVP-ers don't just play on PVP servers. That would seem to be the most equitable solution for all involved.
  6. A big PVP update is coming in just over 24 hours, in the form of Galactic Starfighter, and I'd rather not see any more development time or money go to further PVP-exclusive content for at least a good, long while.
  7. I don't believe we're ever likely to see playable droids (it seems like character appearance customization would necessarily involve either a great deal more or a great deal less variety than for any existing species), but if we did, I think it would probably be best for "droid" to encompass both species and class - if you choose droid for either, you're locked into it for both. Perhaps "battle droid" (blaster rifle or assault cannon) and "assassin droid" (sniper rifle and vibroknife, or tech-/electrostafff, or maybe even paired vibroblades) advanced classes? Again, though, I don't imagine we're apt to get a playable droid option any time in the foreseeable future.
  8. Hmmmmmmm... Balosar could also be a good choice for this one. I can't imagine that sticking some antennae on a human head would be all that difficult (or, at least, no more difficult than lekku or horns...)
  9. My understanding is that Theelins are genetically unstable, and they often just end up with weird mutations.
  10. A Theelin could certainly be cool, so long as she didn't have the weird hoof-feet that some of them get (as that would surely create some pretty serious clipping issues with boots). Honestly, though, at this point, I'm really leaning toward wanting to see a Falleen or Chiss companion.
  11. In addition to his various other feats of martial prowess, Jaric Kaedan led the offensive that originally captured the Dread Masters (and, at that time, as far as the galaxy at large was concerned, that meant that he killed the Dread Masters). I think it's probably safe to say that he was regarded as a war hero in the Republic by the time the Treaty of Coruscant was signed, and half of the members of the Jedi Council had, by that point, died in battle. Despite his anger issues and other problems, Kaedan seems like he'd have been a popular choice with a lot of people, both within and without the Jedi Order.
  12. And, since I didn't previously mention it in this thread, the other species that I think might work nicely for this companion are Chiss, Mirialan, or Nautolan. In theory, I could also see a case for Anzati or Zeltron. Lastly, if they could figure out a way to pull off an attractive Weequay, that could also be cool.
  13. I know it's been awhile since I posted this thread, but it occurs to me that a female Falleen could be pretty awesome for this role, too...
  14. Haven't played through the trooper story, so I couldn't say. I figure it would work in much the same way as with Treek, though - a mercenary who hires on with the character.
  15. I'd definitely be interested in a nexu mount.
  16. I've actually got threads up in this forum, suggesting these very companions: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=688725 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=691457
  17. Personally, I'd love a companion-focused expansion, so long as it involved entirely new companions, available to all - maybe with some running around to planets, old and new, and some elaborate quest chains. I'm not in favor of mixing and matching companions between characters, or altering the roles of existing companions. Those prospects both sound like they'd be too much work for not enough return.
  18. To be honest, I was taking it as a given with my initial proposal, though I probably should've been clearer on that account.
  19. Can't say as it's a thing that interests me, but I wouldn't begrudge it to those who might want one, so long as it can somehow be made to look sufficiently Star Wars-y.
  20. I’d like to suggest the addition of further cybernetic armor options to the Cartel Market. Specifically, I’m interested in alternatives that are obviously cyber, but are less extreme than our current options – stuff like a pair of gloves that turns the left or right hand into something more like one of SCORPIO’s hands than a three-pronged robot claw. Whole armor sets that come with just one obviously replaced limb, or maybe two. Maybe one of those “shirtless” armors that adds a bit of plating and some blinking lights to part of the torso. Don’t get me wrong: the Series 505, 512, and 808 armors are fantastic. (In fact, my cyborg sniper uses the 505 gloves.) I’d just like to see the possibility of a full set of cyber inclusive armor that doesn’t entail General Grievous/Darth Vader-level modifications.
  21. I don't believe we're ever going to see a droid PC option in the game, but if we did, I imagine that "droid" would be both race and class - which is to say, if you pick "droid" for class, it automatically assigns you the droid "race" - with advanced class options of "battle droid" (heavy attack, like bounty hunters and troopers) and "assassin droid" (more finesse, like agents and smugglers), or something along those lines.
  22. I could certainly go for an expansion that really reignites the war, but I'd much prefer a PVE expansion to a PVP one (or, at least, an approach that incorporates elements of both play-styles).
  23. Overall, I prefer greater variety to less. If what someone really, really wants is a pink-core purple crystal - well, that's not hurting anybody else.
  24. From everything that we've been told, there are no plans anytime in the foreseeable future for any playable race - such as Kel-Dor, Ithorians, Rodians, and the like - that isn't essentially human in appearance.
  25. Personally, I'd love to be able to have a facial hair option that's more than five o'clock shadow, but less than full-on beard.
