I'd just max out your coms on all of your toons and prep to legacy transfer stuff around then. Mostly, don't buy any conq or partisan if you don't have to - utilizing excess (say, if you can get 3500 ranked over the next two weeks, blow it on something, then rebuild it and repeat). Dunno I'm probably gonna max coms on at least two toons and stop working on a min maxed set of Partisan DPS gear on my jugg. Bad enough I felt dirty logging in on my sorc and playing PvP last night, not sure if I should max him too.

There is no proc bug, they aren't supposed to proc together. IE, you shouldn't run two SA relics. I have no idea what the BIS for a sorc - youd have to check the forum or wait till Nibbon answers that one. At this time also, read the PTS patch notes - Conq is going to become the base gear with a new tier for ranked, so just save up coms.

Sigh. You youngins. Kiting goes back to the EQ1 days. Where people would slow the mob or use a speed boost, and drag a mob behind them (Ala, a kid dragging a kite behind them on a beach) while nuking or DoTing it. It expanded into a more of a definition from there with "Fear Kiting" and into how we use it today. But that's where it comes from. People put LOS into that category now, along with anything that involves using movement to mitigate or avoid. Until a better word is adopted, its what we have as a catch all that is most likely being misused, but most of us understand what people are getting at. LOS is also a terrible term for how we use it, but its what we've got. Like rap music and video games replacing our education system.

Serendipitous Assault. Also, Partisan dies in a fire come 2.4, and conq will be the baseline gear with another tier of PvP gear with ranked warzone coms, so just bank all of your coms for now and just pvp with crap partisan for a bit, utilizing excess to get decent Partisan upgrades.

Too bad we can't trade in our old partisan gear for coms. Even at half rate I'd take that (Funny that I now have half an unused set of DPS gear for my Jugg...)

Yea somehow I was drunk (even tho I don't drink) or high (even tho I don't do drugs) and bought a second Conq SA relic on my Sorc without realizing it back in the double proc days so I have both. Second partisan relic I had the coms for. I could not get any shape or form of double PvP SA relics to proc together.

No, go all aptitude is the recommendation - unless for some reason you really prefer a slight amount of more crit over more base damage. Honestly go all aptitude X mods (Unlettered, no A or B) for a true min max. Alacrity is a preference for style tbh. Theorycrafting and straight dummy parses show Alacrity having a benefit, but real PvP is utterly circumstantial so its very much a ymmv depending on who you are fighting and how you play. I'm able to do without it and go full surge (for a while I had 1 alacrity enhancement just because lightsabers) because I have to kite and reposition so much, but if I was peeled for well or are facing crappy opponents, that alacrity would be better.

I'll answer the best I've been able to determine and from feedback from others. 1. Partisan or Conq in all slots to get max expertise (more on this in the hilt section). You can do the old war hero stuff for more power, or do the Matrix cube and be fine, however. Strength > Power > Surge. The endurance that comes with the gear is plenty - get your datacrons. Accuracy vs Surge there is a noticeable drop in DPS for all classes with accuracy (or Alacrity, etc). Players/ACs overall just do not have enough defense to warrant it. 2. Rate of return is terrible on crit. Sure, you'll crit slightly more, but really Watchman is not ideal for PvP due to the longer ramp up and lack of burst. The theorycrafting is there, and for sure on my Sorc the evidence was there. I've only mixed accuracy and surge on my sent, I've not done crit from previous lessons learned on my other toons. I had a few crit mods for a bit but to be honest, that was during my min max phase so it wasn't really paid attention to. Some sins/shadows will tell a different story, but even the two in my guild I've challenged to run more crit, and then run more surge. They did better with the surge in both numbers and how they felt they were node guarding/solo killing/DPSing. 3. I have. You actually sink to about 1930ish bolstered expertise iirc. Now, bolster is supposed to up everyone's base damage on weapons to the same (PvE, PvP gear, doesnt matter). When I did some calcs with askmrrobot compared to what I was bolstering to, and trying one match to compare - its a slight, unnoticeable bump in DPS for a loss in survivability. When you take into account multiple hits, the damage reduction from expertise adds up. If we were a ranged class, it would be more viable imho - were just too much in the thick of things. 4. I just tested this last night, SA PVP Relics are NOT stacking (People are posting logs of PvP and PvE stacking though). Get another damage proc relic. Kinetic Tempest or Dark Radiance has been in debate. 5. Seems to be about even and up to your preference cause they're similar. For Focus the rule seems to be go power because its more base damage and you're auto critting anyways.

Well I tried PvP and PvP (Conq and Partisan, Partisan and Partisan, Conq and Conq) and they did not proc together - always 20-21 seconds apart on both the Sent and the Sorc. I was short basic coms to test PvE and PvP myself.

I quit playing on Bastion due to this - turtle fests are boring. My week long experience there showed people were more concerned about wins than actually playing the game - so I went somewhere with less skill but more game being played. You two are right, it's not the point to "Only Win". The people interested in "Only Winning" exploit advantages even if they're boring to just win, and drive the people interested in playing for more away. By the force, I sincerely hope all of the concerned (including me) are wrong and arenas are amazing fun for all ACs - instead of an issue of keeping up with the Joneses' new exploit, FOTM, or turtle strategy.

Well I don't have the PVE Relics to play with (I might have enough coms on one of my toons...), but I do have the PVP ones on 3 toons, I guess I'll find out for myself. The sorc has two of each, will see if its a Conq/Partisan thing or if Conq/Conq Partisan/Partisan can double up. I gear alts with my excess coms or get silly crap like a second set of DPS gear for my tank, etc. I did a PvE stint for a while but it just doesn't have the thrill PvP does for me.

I thought it was just the PvE and PvP one that was doing that, not PvE and PvE or PvP and PvP. gosh darn it, I'll crack out the sorc and see I guess. And yea, just some like the bit-more-damage partisans over the Conq A mods. I don't think the 8.1 damage total is worth the com sink personally.

How will the system actually divide up the queue? As it is easier to get 4 people queued up, what is to prevent us from having just Arenas running?

I was not happy with Alacrity's performance, either with 3, 5, or max in PvP. The minimal benefit for the loss of surge was noticeable on the scoreboard to me at least, in both madness and hybrid. You honestly spend enough time running around that the small increment of time saved even with the GCD doesn't make a huge difference in my experience. If you're regularly left alone to where this makes a difference, then you can just go in naked and it wont matter. Mostly, consider full surge at a later date, ymmv - the two servers I play on have attentive DPS classes who like to chase Sorcs and Sages. Conq AX is 68wp / 25 Power, Partisan X is 52wp 43 Power - .9 difference per piece. 6.3 more damage total not counting your bracer and belt, but a loss of 490hp (515 buffed). Your call if you want to go Partisan till you have the ranked coms. Also you have double SA relics - they don't stack anymore, replace one.

This. Between people wanting TDM or Objective matches only and people not being able to respec to compensate for the lack of X spec, I'm forseeing a quitfest or a LOT of one sided warzones. But I cannot deny the ability to DPS spec to take a node, then respec tank or heals to hold it forever being a big problem in the current setup. It's just a band aid for now. It doesn't fix the underlying problem of lack of people queuing and role assignment leading to enjoyable matches, it just band aids the warzone design of DPS to take, heal and tank to hold.

That 4th part is a thank god. When does the PTS server go live with this? Friday? I'm curious to see if Tanky DPS specs and 22/22/2 healer specs end up being broken in the solo queue. I may actually play my sorc again to try this out.

I solo'ed this crap every day on multiple toons in grade 69 PvE gear, Makeb 58s, and PvP gear. Took 10-15 minutes each time. With and without ninja looting. I don't see how on earth this was difficult at all, or an issue. If anything, if you're into griefing and random wpvp, this place is great for you.
