  1. so what you're saying is animal mounts are okay then? :V
  2. which is odd because of the HK-47 - HK-51 interaction. Bioware inconsistency.
  3. getting 1 outta 3 right aint bad. 'old content' 2 NIM difficulty modes! I guess if they added in NIM variants of TOS and Ravagers people would be happy because its 'new content' ? content! or something.... Oh and they're removing a really REALLY low amount of achievements. Better unsub
  4. I very much disagree LOL. Mercenary is really the easiest to get into and not even the hardest (operative probably) to master
  5. People who run dailies for money will see the reason, just because you dont doesnt mean the entire playerbase instantly agrees with you.
  6. skip these, these dont get 12xed and net you next to nothing anyway I run these way faster with ON LEVEL characters are you using quick travels (which should have no cooldown) to speed up leveling? And are you using the travel speeders in case you dont have a quick travel point? What about gear? did you gear up anything at all during your leveling which might appear as to increase your leveling time? if youre going everywhere on a mount then no wonder it takes forever. aside from the fact that the alliance system and new heroic system does actually reward players with on level stuff? (and credits) They'll have plenty of reason to revisit planets since as it currently stands it actually looks like the new heroic system is a faster way to grind missions out than dailies (since you get insta tele'd to the heroic area and you dont have to turn them in either) Most (if not all?) heroics are turned into +2 as well and anyone with a companion can do those
  7. It'll be able to tank? (one of biowares oversights, no medium armor tank, shoulda made juggs that imo but oh well)
  8. no im sorry but it pretty much is. that also being the problem. People that want a full star wars experience are better off with this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=474473428 granted its still a large work in progress.
  9. or server mergers, it'll be less of an issue after the expansion comes out (and when the force awakens comes out im sure) but in half a year time (being generous) we will be back at square one most likely unless customer retention is high (which is possible 4.0 is basically all about customer retention)
  10. I agree, but its probably a thing harder to implement than the 2018 ranked PVP check.
  11. submit a ticket or call them and if you were in game while you bought them you gotta relog
  12. with conquest being reduced to 25,000 anyone that doesnt craft for conquest will have an easier time in 4.0 Granted no point in doing anything conquest now unless youre hunting for titles due to the fact that the rewards are broken.
  13. This might sound a bit rude but unless youre doing it for PVP I dont think going operative would help since instead of managing force youre micromanaging your HOTs. Mercenaries dont have much micromanagement of anything since applying kolto shell too much during a raid will kill your energy or people. Mercs are very straight forward healing classes. That and you can gimmick a lot of **** with hydraulic override xl cuddle puddle is in a bit of a rough spot if you ask me because its really tempting to cast it at time when its up but then you realize that you're potentially throwing away stacks you need for force regen. Id love to see it removed for 4.0 and in exchange reduce the cast of it by 0.25 or 0.50 if they're feeling generous. They can up the cooldown of it by a second or two maybe three if thats too OP
  14. a lot of light side choices for the sith classes are designed to benefit the empire. Where as dark side choices tend to favor personal gain
  15. Lately I keep getting a lot of DPS lately while tanking or healing who like to pull, I let them die unless it was just an aggro range mistake and all that (most of the time it isnt) ive also been getting a lot of operative healers who do not make the grade, like holy ****, these are only HM flashpoints (and no they werent undergeared either nor were they healing in DPS gear) Every time I queue and get an operative healer I always do an involuntary muscle spasm and hope for the best. Do have a story, had a DPS (marauder I think?) in full PVP gear max expertise rating, im thinking to myself eh I dont really care he was augmented here and there and pretty much meets the minimum gear requirements, plus PVPers do tend to be better players on average than pure PVE players. But oh boy was this guy a VERY special snowflake, I dont know how he got his PVP gear but he made SO MANY mistakes the flashpoint was HM tython. Early on pulls a few trash mobs and dies (a mix of both accidental and intentional I feel) but I personally shrug it off and make sure the healer and other DPS dont die (they didn't) We get to the first boss and oh boy, this is where it gets special, I think he dies 4 times to orbital strike, when I ask him about it he blames his gear and I quickly correct him that saying his gear isn't the problem, its staying out of stupid thats his problem. Whatever, me and the other 2 manage to finish the boss while even doing the orbital strike on add phase with little issue. On the way to the 2nd boss we stealth CC that one add near the bridge, mr idiot PVPer decides to jump on it, dies really quickly, I get a little low because the healer and other DPS passed it a little earlier but we manage to kill the adds on the bridge. I call him out on this I was like (paraphrasing here a bit) "Why'd you do that" and he says something along the lines of "Well you werent taking charge" and I respond by saying "the add was stealth CC'd and we couldve passed it" his response: "How was I supposed to know?" ...... I kinda snapped here and wondered how this person could be so dumb. I respond by saying "Looking at it? clicking on it? they have way different looking animations when sleeping too, not only that but in order to attack that mob you had to click on it. Didn't see the sleep CC icon or something?" One of the others decided to vote kick him and he gets promptly kicked from the flashpoint, I told them to ignore that guy so they'd never end up in a queue with him again, we finish the rest of the FP with no issue, 3 manning the next boss and getting a sniper for the last boss which we complete without issue.
  16. oh ok so the only gripe you have is that there are no new operations? shouldve specified. heres my 2 cents: Let your subscription run out, subscribe to the SWTOR newsletter and wait until they announce ops content to re-subscribe. No-one will hate you for it.
  17. - Mastery A rather irrelevant change for most of us, I actually do know a guildie who struggles with this (he gives me and others many headaches) but for like 99% of the game it wont be a change - Crit rating / Multiplier (surge / crit rating) is a bigger change than anything else, how it will affect us is hard to say but it technically can allow us to reduce our stat investment into both or it might simply be the same - Accuracy not exactly getting changed that much but I heard that people will need roughly 1 or 2 accuracy pieces less compared to now (altough the ranged / melee accuracy change with 110% accuracy means the rare free cast fillers wont miss) - alacrity vs crit I think that they will be even pound for pound with depending on how they scale the crit chance / crit multiplier actually favoring alacrity (yes even for DPS) Crit was (in 3.0) way too plentiful in gear vs power and maybe bioware caught onto this and overdid fixing it. But since crit affects both chance and surge that might mean crit might end up having a really low diminishing return, so like maybe at 300-400 crit rating so 4 enhancement pieces it'll be too bad to stack vs alacrity. - Defense / Power mods. Im not sure what to think about this. Its possible that defense / power mods will only appear on things like: Gear drops / Operations / Flashpoint / PVP / Comm gear but that people can craft absorption / crit mods? As for defense I think that most tanks (minus juggs) could rely entirely on defense mods for their minimal amount of defense rating. In pvp however (currently) defense rating is useless so people would literally be better off putting power mods in their mod slots lol. But stat for stat a lot of changes on alacrity vs crit will depend on the class.
  18. - bolstered operations and flashpoints - Do stuff for that alliance thingymabob mechanic - do the story on other classes. And the amount of content they're releasing is technically more than ROTHC and SOR maybe you shouldve left when you were so dissapointed with those (were you? If not then why are you about this one?)
  19. A healer might be able to do it if he has enough time on his hands (and if the boss doesnt have an enrage or instant kill mechanics) semantics, that 2nd player doesn't have to enter. KP is currently an operation you could almost solo if there werent those freeze droids on jarg and sorno (I dunno if they are present on all difficulty levels though) puzzle would be a bit tedious however but eh. As for a serious answer to the OPs question, I think yes some people might be skilled enough to solo some of the flashpoints and world bosses in the game (but I wouldnt count on anyone soloing an operation)
  20. depending on what class you play you generally kinda want to find out what they mean because it often means the ability might - do more damage (Dual saber throw anni marauder has a proc like this) - might have a higher crit chance (resurgence + innervate or dark heal for example) - might cause an ability to turn into an instant cast (merc healer has this by casting emergency scan and then healing scan) - might cost less resources (rapid scan reduces heat cost of healing scan) - might be a free resource cast (3 annihilates equals 1 free force rend) - might shorten the cast on a channeled ability (powertech tanks firestorm has this) - came off cooldown (powertech tanks firestorm has this) and probably a few other effects im too lazy to write down / forgot about (and these are some of the class procs im more familiar with) easiest way to find out is to check your discipline path and read anything in your ability list
  21. actually seen a guildie of mine pay another guildie like a mill to die a bunch of times for him for that achievement (with 100 party jawa kills too)
  22. https://i.gyazo.com/e8d30d333a749c0eda4e62357c7bdb6a.png confirmed (not my tweet)
  23. Preliminary data says that there are rumors about new pvp map (and type) and a new type of tactical flashpoint. I think you might wanna change that to no new operations since all that story is PVE content no?
