  1. Well, they did say they would provide details... Of course BWA says a lot of things, best not to rely on them.
  2. I'd love to see the citation for your "definition", LOL, What is the magic ONE definition and where did it come from? Your head, are you making things up now?
  3. OH, I interpreted it VERY differently. The Weekly mission on CZ currently gives 20 cxp. But since it can only be done once a week, I think he is asking for it to give 500 instead of 20. Therefore the TOTAL weekly points from CZ (currently 3710) would be upped to 4230 .
  4. It actually depends on how you define maintenance mode. If you define it as are the devs working on and delivering (albeit slowly) new content? Then NO it is not on maintenance mode. It may be on life support given the paucity of new content and slowness of devs to do anything. If you define maintenance mode as Official Dev announcement of maintenance mode - Then NO. If you define it as minimal content release with mostly just repackaged old content delivered as new - then it is arguably on maintenance mode.
  5. My estimate is actually closer to 900 to 1200 hours of actually playing the toon at cxp earning activities (I don't pvp and I don't like the mind numbing farming of the same thing over and over, so I'm not gonna do that) to get to level 300 command levels (and NOTE from what I have seen in videos, the 300 command level toons are NOT decked out in BIS yet). And BWA wants me to pay them for the privilege, lol. It is a job. And I don't need another one. That's a large part of the reason I'm gone when sub runs out.
  6. Certainly the Kotfe ones are a big fat no. Some of the KOTET ones were fun once, and not a chore the 2nd time, but do 'em again Master, not me.
  7. Once upon a time (2.x to 3.x), I too, had a dedicated solid group of friends I raided with - a 16 man team once a week and an 8 man team twice a week. I think one of those approx. 20 people still plays casual as I do. In 4.0 I often substituted in for set teams who were down a healer pub side, and pugged the easier HM's impside often. I had good gear - maybe 1/2 BIS. Now, even tho I am a crafter, anything beyond the starter gear is not gonna happen. Been able to do two ops since 5.0 - pugs just aren't running, and the teams I often helped out can't even gear themselves, those that still exist can't work with me even if they wanted to. So, I without any alternative to GC - I'm limited to starter gear for at least 100 more play hours. Then I'm limited by RNG, and since I didn't see a purple drop with RE'able mods until level 47 - I'm betting another 100+ play hours til I got a drop in the craptastic boxes to RE so I could craft anything. So, say 3 more months til I saw Tier 2 equiv gear? So, I unsubbed. I guess you'd say I quit, or gave up. I'd say I came to my senses.
  8. That gear was accessible to ALL players by visiting the trainer and RE'ing the schematics. In this system you have to get a lucky roll on an op drop OR wait til you get to Tier 2 (200 playing hours on one toon?) and then hope you get lucky with a purple drop in the craptastic command boxes. Crafting is MUCH worse off this time, imo.
  9. EIS is that exotic isotope, the one I got tons of by buying it with the mid tier crystals I got on my alts who did heroics? I wouldn't even call that hard to come by. And, what you are talking about in 4.0 is BETTER than starter endgame gear. (was 208) I can't craft anything better than endgame starter gear in this new system. And I don't play enough to EVER be able to because I'll never have a toon that gets to tier 2 to RE the mods and enhancements at that level. And I like crafting, I always have. But it is hardly any mitigation to this crappy system at all, and is no mitigation for anything beyond the base line endgame gear.
  10. Yeah, this is what I feel. Those who say, well, it isn't "so bad" are just more encouragement for BWA to stay on this crappy path. I feel like I've met BWA more than half way with the changes since 3.0, and still payed them money to play a game that got less and less fun with more and more recycling. Now, yes, my main is in mostly crafted 228 pieces (except armoring of course) but it is no fun and I'm not even going to bother for alts (whereas I enjoyed gearing them through crystals and fp's before.) Could I continue to play the game in crafted crap (equivelant of pve 208 gear in 4.0), and maybe down a HM boss or two, maybe I could. Is it fun to do so? Knowing I can't even have a LOUSY chance to better my gear until I play another 200 to 300 hours on a single toon, Nope. Not gonna do it. I'll keep my sub money thank you.
  11. Been like this since Galactic Command launched. BWA doesn't care tho.
  12. LOL, will THIS thread be moved to Off-Topic?
  13. Wow, that sucks, sorry. I used a 2 month time card I was given as a gift, just after my sub montly renewal came up, so even though I unsubscribed the day KOTET released (I had the early access to determine this was NOT fun for me in any way shape or form) I'm here into February. I've been unhappy with that, I'd be really unhappy if it were that much time and money wasted.
  14. All I know is I cancelled my sub and the proposed changes for 5.1 won't bring me back. The proposed changes are at best a bad compromise and at worst simply a placating gesture. How do these guys not get it? Yeah, me too. 5.1 not even close to what I'd need to consider resubbing. SO dang depressing.
  15. Yup, lots of not bothering and keeping our subscription money out of BWA's hands is the result of this rng non gearing system.
  16. HMM, well I'd say Uprisings are to Operations as Starter world side quest is to Oricon Weekly
  17. Oh, yeah, they are going to "keep monitoring" CXP and they really want our feedback! LOL:mad:
  18. I haven't been very participatory on threads here, but I read them a lot, you were always a sensible voice, and your presence will be felt. I wish you FUN!
  19. I started having a similar problem in 4.0 - I have a two monitor set-up and found there was a browser/swtor conflict. I quickly learned that dulfy.net open in a browser made swtor go flashy and flashy lined. Many other sites do as well, - I think it is an advertising code thingy on the pages, as it doesn't always cause a problem. But closing the browser session ALWAYS does fix the problem for me. I seem to have the problem more frequently since 5.0, or more sites seem to conflict - only a few sites are 'safe' swtor.com being one of the ones that doesn't cause this problem for me. I hope this advice (make sure all browsers are closed down) helps someone.
  20. I have been using the slot machine a lot lately, when logged in and have other screen on a movie I'm hoarding the stackable rep certs. On 6 different toons I've purchased and played a total of 12000 coins (2000 coins per toon). I'm NOT reinvesting the rep certs - I'm saving them for quick credit that I can get from vendor if I need credits when my sub runs out and I'm preferred. I've seen 7 cartel certs (lucky I think) and around 60 jawa pieces (haven't paid too much attention to which color). No mount. Each toon has about 1150k in certs they can vendor in the future. I used the cartel certs to buy decos and sold them on the GTN. Credit wise I'm a little up from pre coin purchase thanks to the deco sales. But it took LOTS of game time - so I'd say it is a wash. If there were anything else to do in game that I enjoyed now, it wouldn't have been worth it.
  21. As implemented, yes I hate Galactic command. (The RNG and grind parts of it). The dev's intended changes coming in January as described are too little too late. I stopped my subscription and removed my credit card info last month. My sub runs out in late Feb iirc, but I'm playing less and less so I doubt I'd resub for anything less than a full reinstatement of old PVE end game gearing (keep GC as alternate would be fine with me, if some folks like it, I see no reason to take it away from them). I always thought I'd be here til they turned out the lights. Never thought I'd be so frustrated and dreading logging in that I'd be ready to walk away from the game. It was so good, it had so much MORE promise - I never dreamed it could be so ruined for me on an incompetent dev/designer whim.
