  1. Lt. Pierce, is confirmed bachelor, a lone wolf, an alpha dog.

Changing his personality to someone who excepts romances would ruin his personality. Relationships require comprise, loyalty (ability to decline free sex sense of the word, not the fight by your side to the death sense), consequences and trust.

None of these things fit Pierce personality.

In short: You know why you mother told you never to marry the bad boy? because he wont marry you, he uses you for his own end and then discards you.

    Lt. Pierce is bad boy.

  2. There's an eniter page on it, but I quoted the basic bit.

    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Canon

G-canon is George Lucas Canon; the six Episodes and anything directly provided to Lucas Licensing by Lucas (including unpublished production notes from him or his production department that are never seen by the public). Elements originating with Lucas in the movie novelizations, reference books, and other sources are also G-canon, though anything created by the authors of those sources is C-canon. When the matter of changes between movie versions arises, the most recently released editions are deemed superior to older ones, as they correct mistakes, improve consistency between the two trilogies, and express Lucas's current vision of the Star Wars universe most closely. The deleted scenes included on the DVDs are also considered G-canon (when they're not in conflict with the movie).[1]

T-canon,[2] or Television Canon[3], refers to the canon level comprising the feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the two television shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the Star Wars live-action TV series.[4][5] It was devised recently in order to define a status above the C-Level canon, as confirmed by Chee[6].

C-canon is Continuity Canon, consisting of all recent works (and many older works) released under the name of Star Wars: books, comics, games, cartoons, non-theatrical films, and more. Games are a special case, as generally only the stories are C-canon, while things like stats and gameplay may not be;[7] they also offer non-canonical options to the player, such as choosing female gender for a canonically male character. C-canon elements have been known to appear in the movies, thus making them G-canon; examples include the name "Coruscant," swoop bikes, Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, YT-2400 freighters and Action VI transports.

S-canon is Secondary Canon; the materials are available to be used or ignored as needed by current authors. This includes mostly older works, such as much of the Marvel Star Wars comics, that predate a consistent effort to maintain continuity; it also contains certain elements of a few otherwise N-canon stories, and other things that "may not fit just right." Many formerly S-canon elements have been elevated to C-canon through their inclusion in more recent works by continuity-minded authors, while many other older works (such as The Han Solo Adventures) were accounted for in continuity from the start despite their age, and thus were always C-canon.

N is Non-Canon. What-if stories (such as stories published under the Infinities label) and anything else directly and irreconcilably contradicted by higher canon ends up here. N is the only level that is not considered canon by Lucasfilm. Information cut from canon, deleted scenes, or from canceled Star Wars works falls into this category as well, unless another canonical work references it and it is declared canon.

  3.

By the way, you are showing some pretty blatant gender bias....

    Reeking chauvinism......

You're looking at her through eyes of sexism and the same background as she already had.

You really are guilty of gender bias in your entire post, and have zero understanding of nature vs nurture debates, and some blatant views on "women's roles".

People develop based on education + choices + environment + how they are treated.

As such Males and Female always develop differently, they will always be treated differently by societies, friends, families and even parents.

(Father for example are typically competitive and proud of sons, whilst more overly protective of daughters. And I doubt if I was female raised exactly the same way I was as male I'd have had a who can piss the furthest off the skyscraper contest with friends on a regular bases as a teenager).

It' just base human psychology, Luke and Leia would not be the same in same situation just because they are male and female and that changes the way others react to them, which in turn effects their development and they develop differently.

  4. Leia had the same force potential as Luke and Anakin (she is Luke equal in TFU2 DLC), but she could never have become anywhere near a match for them due to her royal upbringing (evidence that when she did become a Jedi for a while, she was nowhere near).

(Too much education and mental stubbornness, limit your ability to use to force greatly, as if you believe/know things (like defying gravity) are impossible, then they are impossible).

So she could have replaced Luke given the correct set of upbringing circumstances, but would she if if they simply switched places? I doubt it.

Luke upbringing circumstances only worked for Luke because he was male, his step-father was constantly worried he would become his father and this created much distance between them, meaning Luke grew very independently minded.

If a female was put in the same situation Lars would have problem real problem with Leia becoming another Padme, so they would have been closer and she would have developed very close to Lar's wife, which would mean she would have learned what it is to be a woman from Lar's wife, which would have made her more simple.

In the end I think she would have ended up as a simple farm owner in the same circumstances, she would never have gone after after R2 and given 3-P0 over to the Empire, the Empire would then have tracked down R2 from his restraining bolt.

    And Sidious would have won.

... However if Luke and Leia had been switched, I have a feeling Vader would have released Luke was his son long before Ep4, I think Sidious would have noticed it too. Who Luke was very obvious to Sidious just by feeling his presence, which is why it was Sidious that worked out who Luke was before Vader, despite never meeting him.

  5. I always wondered this and I hoped someone here could answer it for me.

So in episode 3 they talked alot about Anakin being the chosen one, the Jedi that would destroy the Sith but was he? Long after both Luke and Anakin died there were Sith (Darth Krayt, Darth Talon, One Sith). So was it Cade that ended up being the chosen one or was it some how Luke or Anakin?

Anakin was the chosen one, that a George Lucas word of mouth fact.

You have to remember as far as George Lucas is concerned the EU doesn't exist, nothing ever happened before the moves or after or in-between (he may make an exception for the clone wars).

However that said even if you do include the EU, Sidious was most single powerful Darkside force user of all time, the Sith may go on but none will ever match him again. So you could say the the destiny of the Chosen One was to do destroy the ultimate Sith, rather than the entire Sith Order.

Because if Anakin/Luke hadn't stopped Sidious nobody else ever would have. The Sith would have ruled the galaxy forever.

  6. If Anakin had not being coming to his rescue Sidious would have never stopped the Lightning barge are just kept on until Windu was overwhelmed, then fried him.

Windu may have legitimately won the Lightsaber portion of the fight, but Windu was on losing end of that Lightning vs Saberblock exchange, as few more seconds and toast. But then Anakin came in so Sidious went for he double win, dead Windu and corrupted Anakin.

  7. How far of a way do I have to go to get them? How hard of a grind? I'm only valor rank 5 maybe, also I saw some stuff requiring mercenary commendations what are those? Only have warzone comms.

Go to the combat training section of the Fleet, there you will find 3 (for each class) PVP gear vendors and 1 special PVP vendor.

You need 200 Warzone commendations and 200 Merc Commendations (you can get these from open world PVP or for warzones commendations at a crappy (30>10) exchange rate from the special PVP vendor).

Then buy a Champion bag from the special PVP vendor, the bag will contain:

3x Centurion Commendation or 1 Centurion Commendation and 1 Unassembled Champion token.

You then use these to buy PVP gear from VP gear vendors.

Centurion gear is Tier 1 level 50 PVP gear.

Champion gear is Tier 2 level 50 PVP gear.

You just need to grind warzones for 2-3 days (well I play 12 hour days so it may be a bit longer depedning on how long you play) so and you will easily have a full set of Centurion gear and with a few Champion pieces.

  8. I don't really consider myself unsocial it's just for title reasonings :p, anyways I bought this game as more of a longterm singleplayer game, I'm not really interested in bothering with guilds or raids or anything too serious because I don't want to hear people ***** about how I'm a noob as this is my first MMO and I'm not very good and am a keyboard turner. I just hit level 49 and I've been looking up about gearing at that level, and it seems like all I see is you have to raid with people to get good PvE gear, how can I go about getting good gear solo? I don't really want to join any guilds or raid and such. I also don't know anything about mods and using them with my oranges, generally I pick commendations over getting mods from the quests then at the end I use all my commendations on the orange gear at the equipment commendation place as it's usually for my level, so before I go to Ilum and before I finish Corellia what should I do about mods before it's too late? Any way to get good PvE gear at 50 going in solo? Need general advice from some advanced players on what to do, thanks everyone.

You don't need level 50 gear for anything other PVP, HM Flashpoints or Raids, if you are not doing them don't bother. Just get stick with level 48-9 gear.

If you really must have level 50 gear, your best off with PVP gear, PVP gear works fine in PVE and you can get it all solo (though obviously you will be playing with others, but you don't have to interact socially with them at all).

  9. Darkside has more dying and more you are a complete big bad bossness.

Lightside has more interesting interaction with Jedi and more people survive.

But the story is really the same both ways, always the exact same outcome (alignment just changes the fate of others in the story, not yourself).

  10.

Lightside outcome (more selfless than selfish)= Darth Imperious = means "Empire", you are Darth Empire because you do what is best for the Empire above all else.

Neutral outcome (self involved but not insanely so) = Darth Oculus = means "Eye", you are Darth Eye because you see everything, both the Light and Dark and work in both to get what is best from both.

Darkside outcome (completely selfish and completely sadistic without reason) = Darth Nox = means "Night", you are Darth Darkness what more needs to be said.

  11. the only issue I can see is Blizz might smell funny. Skadge, though, might cause conflicts. Don't know. MY Merc is still in orbit around Hoth.

As Blizz is an oddity being a space Jawa rather than a Tatooine/Raxus Jawa I would suggest unlike the majority of his species he has learned to bathe being around and living near other species so much (as it a Jawa culture thing to smell like crap, not a biological thing).

Or it surly would have come up in some humorous point BH story line.

  12. So if Palp had learned everything he could from Plagueis why then didn't he just create his own new super midi chlorine human in a new person when Vader got messed up?

Darth Plagueis actually failed to create "his own new super midi chlorine human" as you put it, it never worked.

Anakin was created by the Force, as a counter reaction to what Plagueis was trying to do.

When Darth Plagueis tried to create his ultimate Darkside Force user the Force itself stopped him and in fact did (you somewhat spitefully) the exact opposite of what he wanted and created the Chosen One (which lead to the defeat of the Sith by the Chosen One and the eventual creation of the ultimate Lightsider Force user Luke Skywalker).

  13. Peak Sidious vs Plaguies, Sidious wins easily, he would crush him like a child, peak Sidious is more powerful (in every way) and is is more knowledgeable as he knows every Darkside force power (canon).

Plaguies vs Sidious when he murdered Plaguies, it would have been more even, Plaguies had more knowledge and techniques than Sidious, but Sidious is stronger in the force and better Lightsaber duelist.

  14. Darth Vitiate

    Birth name was Tenebrae

    Son of Sith Lord Dramath.

Species: Sith, Sith Pureblood or Human.

Christened "Lord Vitiate" by Dark Lord of the Sith by Marka Ragnos himself.

Became Dark Lord, Emperor and Darth after the great hyperspace war.

He is both natural powerful in the Darkside and has enhanced his power by stealing it from others.

  15. So, I was noticing on some of the load screens for planets like Belsavis and Balmora it shows a person holding a light saber in his left hand. I am left handed so I thought it would be cool if we had the option of making our characters left or right handed. What do you think?

The concept art loading screen you mean right? That just because the art got flipped at some point and nobody really cared enough to change it (it works ether way really).

And Bioware have said they are not going to do this:

    1. (And less importantly) They would have to duplicate every ability with mirror version.

    2. The auto-melee choreography would not match up between left and righters, and it would be ton of work to make it so everyone could fight everyone with the correct choreography.

  16. Were the Rakata really force sensitive, or is it a question of sufficiently advanced technology being indistinguishable from magic?

Was their tech simply so powerful that they could manipulate the Force through technology?

    /ponder

It's the other way around, most of their technology was force based, if they were not force sensitive they would not have been as powerful or advanced as they were.

And that is why the Rakata died out very quickly when they got a mysterious plague that cut almost all the their species off from the force. Because they could no longer user the force or most of their technology without it.

  17. Darth Caedus/Jacen Solo did not go to Choas (hell) he went to the Netherworld (heaven), but the reason he was stuck in a form of damnation was his own doing.

Jedi let go completely, Jacen let go of everything except his regret/sorrow.

So he is an eternal force ghost (like Kenobi and Anakin), but he eternally feels regret and sorrow for his past actions because he did not let them go.

You also have to remember that Jacen is an oddity because he became one with the force before he died (before he even became Sith). Therefore theoretically he already had the power and connection to become a force ghost long before he died.

  18. I still think people are missing the point of my post.

    Interrupts:

    BH - Pistol whip

    Trooper - Hilt strike

    IA - Smoke grenade

    Smuggler - Ball kick

    Inquisitor - Small shock

Jedi knights interrupt doesn't fit it. Opportune strike is a backhand strike, perfect for an interrupt. Both the sounds and look for Force kick suggest heavy damage.

Imagine BH rocket punch was their interrupt and quell was the damaging ability.

The above posters understand fine. They are just saying because they use interrupt so much (as you should be using every time it's up and there is cast going) they want it to keep the animation as is so they can see it often, even if it doesn't fit.

Attaching it to a more powerful move would lower the amount you get to see the animation, therefore they are against it.

    Fitting in be damned.

  19. It's possible we have reached a landmark, this weekend is 3 months since the game officially launched.

Maybe now they've got 3 months experience under their belt they don't feel they need to do maintenance every week.

Maybe they've worked out it's not worth it, and every 2 or 3 weeks or whatever will hold up just as well.
