  1. And this is how the rest of the classes felt about sages for so long. God bubble, stun bubble, phasewalk, force speed, heal to full, 2 or 3 stun breaks I can't remember, the best aoe heal, plus probably things I have forgotten. Every other class learned how to play the game now sorcs do to. Good luck you have 3 years of practice to catch up with everyone else. PS Mandos still are the only class to reveal they are a healer in regs. Maybe all healers should get a green line of healing then the forums would start to cry.
  2. Mercs are now nearly on a par with ops and sorcs. Sorcs can god bubble and stun bubble move faster and let's not forget the ultimate completely disappear from view, phase walk. Ops can hit the hardest roll at high speed and doge everything while doing it and let's not forget the ultimate disappear from view stealth during combat. Mercs have the slowest run, the worst escape in jet back, but now they have adrenal rush (3 dps or 2 with offensive cd's will kill you through it). Mercs have a stun break and the reflective shield. OP? Not when the Operative has the best cc's in game and the sorc has many stun breaks and complete cleansers (it's normal breaker and god bubble). So if it's healing both the other 2 out perform the merc, and if it's dps the operative shows the best numbers in game, and as dot spreaders sorcs are the best in game. So still not OP there then. But maybe you are crying nerf because of the way they compare to other classes? Maras and PTs can still melt you in seconds. You can't get away and their initial attacks can take down any player. That's there strength and that's why people want to play that class. Sins have stealth and burst attack. Again it's about play style we don't all want to be the same, that's why we have favourite classes and play them even when they aren't FotM. That just leaves Juggs. I never really enjoyed that class so I am not the best to ask. But it seems they are under performing a bit. So maybe we should rename this post how to fix juggernauts and finally have the best balance of PvP this game has ever seen?
  3. PVP is at it's best point in years. Look at the leaderboards. Only guard/jugg are not featuring so highly. Merc healers now have the defences that a sorc has (with no instant don't kill me God bubble). Sorcs played well are equals to merc healers. I have seen every class described as OP since the exp. That tells you balance is good. WZ are fun places to be with many different classes playing well. I think the mechanic changed most for Merc and people will figure out out in time. But roll over top teir because I play a sorc pvper. You have competition. And mercs really know their class they had to to be competitive before and now they have a utility box to match.
  4. Yes most of the inbalance is caused by people focusing pts and mercs as easy kills allowing others to out perform but it is so easy to make people re target as a sin, sage, or jug which causes this. So the rolls are not balanced. The real inbalance of swtor came with the level 51 skills and 2.0. These where skills that filled a small ***** in the armour of each character. Some where nerfed while others weren't and 2 were buffed. Sins and sorcs got the buff (viable in ranked) pts, jugs got left alone (still viable in ranked as tanks with a little dps). rebalance by removing these. Give Mercs back a full power electro net, lengthen the cast of phase walk (make it so a disengage actually costs time to set) reduce the heal of god bubble (it's ridiculous and I play sorc) and nerf the agent roll only in Hutball, but then nerf it harder. The god bubble should be enough to make people retarget, it should be skill to get away and self heal.
  5. Madness sorc is far to easy to play, if the enemy is in groups press 3 buttons. If it is one enemy alone press a different 3 buttons. This leaves plenty of room to have interupts at hand like no other class. They self heal and cause damage at the same time, static barrier heals, force barrier heals, a large self heal off gcd. They don't really effect a fight though. Mercs easily heal the groups as do ops. If you cleanse before dot spread they need 2 gcds to set up again. Better still if a player self cleanses you can pop a couple of dot heals and null the effects of the damage done. But that is the key to the madness being op. It is so easy to play you have time to look at your debuffs. In arenas they are the most effective (outway juggs and pts greatly) because if your healer goes down you still have massive self presavation moves. They have so many useful utilities it is the only class that have a tough desicion. As for the damage numbers they show up off the chart. While lightening is far more effective in a takedown they get shunned for the massive numbers (nearly useless damage but still twice anyone elses) of madness. Besides if you want 1 target damage take a pt. With 4 the trinity was cut to a duo. Forget sins they are mildly annoying, if you want to get a ranked place pts or sorcs, hardcore damage or self presavation, the choice is yours.
  6. good bits by Donna and doc there. I played a sorc healer for the first time on the release of 4.0. My main in a mando. I couldn't believe the numbers I could put out. Firstly not even really knowing the class my healing numbers sometimes tore shreds off my merc. The ease of avoiding people, A match never lasted long enough for me to use my phase walk, I never really got attacked in focus because I could always get out or bubble. But the craziest bit was the dps. In a reg wz I could pull 2 mill healing and 600k dps without really trying. I thought electro net was a good slow but why slow when you can face melt. Sorcs are just wrong. I can't see how they improve the game, when every one takes them to ranked and every op is full of them (I bet you could tank any boss between 8 of you playing well) maybe then the devs will think damn we didn't just kill the game we damaged the Star wars brand more than Lucas adding scenes.
  7. Healers are easy kills when on their own. Next time you see a healer try using interupts and knockbacks, also look for the gaurd icon. If the healer is increasing health by more steps than you can on GCD then he is being healed by another healer. Simple, straight forward, easy to work out, shouldn't have to be explained. That said there is one healer class that far out weighs the other 2. Sorcs are above and beyond and getting more powerful every expansion. The fix is easy though, troopers need the limitations taken off Kolto overload, and a reduced cooldown on reactive sheild or increase the length of time on the sheild they can stack. Agents need cover healing bringing back. These very small fixes would even out the bubble effect of sorcs. Phase walk would still give sorcs a minor advantage, but let's face it sorcs wear paper armour and need that advantage, their solo heal while moving not so much. Sorcs should be a bit mystic in feel. agents a bit sneaky and hard to hit, while mercs should feel heavy armoured semi tanks.
  8. Best time of the month, ranked PvP. All the stat packers from unranked go find a little whole to cry in. Shouts of cheat fly across the chat boxes, a bullying atmosphere clouds around anyone who might join in and upset the order or last season either by being bad and causing a lose or 2 while they try or by being good and pushing an heir apparent down the pecking order. While all this mud slinging, geekdom harsh words of showing their own lack of knowledge and a few tears (it is actually a trainable ability in some games), and very basic DPS fest dressed as a form of tactic, goes on the regs will be free of the off node fighters the persistent solo failures, and the look how far I can space myself from the healers with a gunslinger char and I got behind all the enemy. Now how do we get rid of the afk 4x hunters? Maybe a new op bioware?
  9. Yorioko could you please mention which server you are on? I would really like to go for the report record in the bioware office.
  10. The best pvp game I was involved in was one where only 2 of the three turrets got captured. It lasted a long time and we won because we capped milliseconds before they did. The personal vendettas that sprang up in that game could be watched playing out, the strict movements of defense between middle and grass or offense from middle to snow. My heart beat hard and fast all game as I didn't want to be the player that made a mistake. Afterwards the joy of our entire team and the dialog between the teams went on long after the exit button opened for use. Both teams appreciated the work of the other and those little personal battles were laughed about and told how close the other was to winning. Long live the pvp content. When that stops I will stop. The diversity and energy of an 8v8 map will never be recaptured in an op, that's why they have to make so much pve content, pvp writes itself
  11. It is this attitude that stopped me doing ops. The crying and refusing to participate if things went wrong. The only reason the pvp community get upset is because the new crop of players (the ones that want M1-4X) refuse to use the tactics needed to beat the scenario. Try that in an ops and watch the abuse roll. It is an open world PVE server not a PVE only server, so players can engage in their class missions and level without the fear of being ganked by a bunch of higher levels. PVP is part of the Swtor content like it or not. So basically we have a situation where PVP players get 1 companion, it is a companion that grows in affection the more you pvp, but that is taken away because pve players want all 10 campions even though only 6 are deployable at a time? PVP gives notoriously bad monetary rewards so companion missions and craft are a pvpers main source of income. Please Bioware can more companions be added to PVP so we don't have to do the pve content? Please Bioware can the kick player button me made easier to use against non participating players also reducing their WZ count to 0 that should make them at least try? Please Bioware can pvp have as much content added as pve has had since launch, delay the new Kotfe pack for more pvp objective games? Or at the very least can PVE players please treat the pvp aspect of the game the same as they would treat an op?
  12. I notice people moan about enemy healers but not the healers on their own team. Surely you have a least one in the 8 people who play. If you are losing because you can't solo the healer (I play all healer classes and a good, geared the same dps can solo a healer, it just takes skill and time) maybe you should stop force leaping away from your team and learn how to pick out the same target as another dps. But then if you only play dps you probably don't really understand what is going on and use a strict out of date rotation you found on google 2 years ago.
  13. Another thread droning on about how the OP would make a better world. The only thing you got right was punish people who leave half way through a warzone and bring back class distinction. The way to make PVP better is to make better players. If players have to stay they learn from their mistakes, and class distinction would make them learn their character more deeply. Back when 8v8 was king (the deadly contenders) each class had a counter class and a speciality. Each class was "playable" because they had a counter class. Snipers killed jugs, Troopers took sorcs out with ease. So if ranked was full of sorcs all you had to do was get havoc squad on the line. Balance issues solved very quickily because balance needs counter balance. The rest of your tirade is crap though, cross server PVP? welcome do a world of low fps and long ques as the cross server hub struggles. Imps hand in hand with pubs? No thank you when I am Rep Imps are my eternal foe and when play Empire I play to burn all Pubs. It is years since you last subscribed and the world changed most players have all classes both sides now. As for the bring back 8v8 ranked, I would just prefer to see different ques. 8v8 takes more skill but is easy dominated with TS, 4v4 is just a dps fest but is useful for keeping out the "heroes" from objective based pvp. Split the ques and split the rewards.
  14. Have you ever noticed how that is directed at the OTHER team? Ranked players just want to protect their little section of the game. If they stop other players joining by dishing out a torrent of abuse before the match has even started then they keep their precious top tier spot. Sadly these toxic players compete for unrecognisable rewards in a community that doesn't care. These people are so far displaced from sportsman or sporting attitudes they do not have any grounds on which to compare. Sports are played by large numbers of players, bond and bring people together, have spectators who care about the outcome. Swtor is a way to relax, a computer game, and not real. If this community really wants to treat ranked as a competition to get wound up at, you must learn these terms, Sportsmanship, Sporting Conduct, Team Bonding, Winning Graciously, Losing Graciously. Oh and stop making me want to push the whining ones in a locker.
  15. I have played every advanced class in the game, I have the deadly contender title from the years of pre season ranked. I have valor ranks of 90+ on many characters. Yet I don't que ranked anymore. Why? because of the ************ and crying. I have been on the end of it even called a wintrader. I have seen it attacks on people in my team I felt so bad for I had to tell the foul mouth to quit it, and console the person on the end of it, for my efforts I got 1 hr of trolling (I know I could of hit the ignore button but I enjoyed humiliating the person and their ridiculous real life claims). In high level sport and I have played national league level, admittedly not topflight, I will so this no one cries like a geek with a mouse and no home life. In a dressing room you might get a few slams but your team mates are a solid family, you play week in week out, you socialise together. So please all the criers, whiners, "this is my life" players, remember this is a social game, the bit people who compete in sports use to socialise, stop being a little ***** and learn to socialise. Besides which helping people understand their class will help you in the que later or they might beat you which proves you weren't such a god after all, just a know it all over inflated ego with a foul mouth and a temper tantrum on tap.
  16. I bet the problem is you are queuing solo. So many people just read their dps output and concentrate on that. They neglect how to pvp. I watch agent area stuns broken with aoe. I see people not pushing the melee dps off a sniper and using slows to help the sniper focus during their timers. Area aoe = 1/4 enemy output damage for 8 seconds if you all focus. Add in a cybertech grenade and it's a massive 16 seconds. People argue against Merc healers, this is because they are always massively focused. try that on any class and watch the outcome, but remember to throw in a few slows to sages. save your stuns till 1/3 health because that's when they will bubble and most dps get an extra attack. If you look at the all classes leader board it is full of sorcs, sins, and powertech. Powertechs are not just viable they are dominant. The sorcs and sins are there because they are the easiest to play. high damage out, lots of break combats (bubble, phase walk etc) . If your team is just stand and bash out buttons these 2 classes will rinse you not matter how well you play or what class you bring. Play each class and see what class they are weak against and which they are strong against. Personally I see a lot of stealth classes in pvp so rocking up with a merc is very viable as long as you are clever with your net and quick with your pushes and scans. Nothing better than rotating away from a sins hit from behind attack while you sit in a bubble of shield and big armour throwing out the big hits. Although saying this I agree with one post the merc class needs a better defense system. Either a root, jumppack, or shield upgrade. It's because of this I only play merc in a group. Solo is always a sin.
