  1. To be honest, it would be nice to see the devs pop into the strongholds forums from time to time period. The lack of a button and proper placement on the menu page is really just indicative of how ignored that forum section is in general. Yes, it is quieter than other sections, but I would say a part of that is that it seems completely ignored by the team. I've seen some really great ideas posted in there and they just get crickets from the team. I'd also like to see my dev interaction in the suggestion box. These are places where great ideas are put forth and there's seldom any acknowledgement that anyone is even looking at them.
  2. One of the funnier moments I had was when I was running a vet fps with a friend, can't remember which one it was, but we came to one of those platform elevators that just move up and down. I saw it, I knew it was there, but did I stop? Nope, I just kept sizzing along for some reason. My character had his little rocket boots on and did the most impressive YOLO swan dive off that elevator, lol.
  3. I totally agree. It's the right time to focus on Mandalorian themes. I haven't even watched the series at this point because it just doesn't interest me. I may not be into the stuff, but I'm glad they're making a good choice for the game.
  4. Honestly, and I know this is gonna be an unpopular opinion, I couldn't care less about mandalorian focused stuff. There's nothing wrong with them, and I know a lot of people are fascinated by it, but they've always really bored me. I played the fps and because of my lack of mando interest it just felt long and boring to me. But the whole mando thing just isn't my jam. I'm glad the people who do like it are getting to have some fun with it. I liked the conclusion to the emperor stuff. I enjoyed the cerebral element to it and thought there were some visually stunning scenes. Also, Scourge kept making me laugh in the beginning, so that was fun, lol. I never hated KotFE/ET. It was fun the first few times. Now I skip ahead if it won't mess up my characters' alignments. The way I see it, every story update appeals to someone. It's awesome when it appeals to me, but cool when it doesn't. Someone is having fun with it, and it's still something new.
  5. In the spirit of full disclosure, Agent is my favorite. Regardless, suggesting the devs change anything in any of the vanilla story lines is pointless. For one thing, it just isn't going to happen. Secondly, every class story has its fans and its haters. It's a completely subjective thing and changing what the fans of a story like, to try to win the detractors is going to cause a lot more problems than simply leaving it as it is. (Many a series has learned how quickly that can kill a show/book/franchise.} Play the stories you like. You tried the agent, it wasn't for you. That's cool, plenty of other stories to be enjoyed.
  6. Tbh, a Hoth stronghold doesn't appeal. A lot of people talk about wanting a Hoth chalet, but the thing is, that's not what we would get. We'd get something like the caves that are already in the game. My picks for a new stronghold would be a Zakuul apartment with a nice courtyard, a Zakuul palace modeled after Vaylin's. I also think a little farmstead on Dantooine could be fun. But my top pick, and I realize it's probably a pipe dream, would be a Copero stronghold. I'd love a nice house there, but the town with all it's little buildings available. I think it would be fun to create and decorate my own little vacation town. This would also work on Onderon, but I'd still choose Copero over that.
  7. My hopes for strongholds are as fallow. For smaller places, an apartment on Zakuul could be fun to play with, but I'd hope that it would have an outdoor patio area. Something similar in size to the small patio off the rooftop garden on Manaan. A small homestead on Dantooine could be fun as well. Again, I'd like a nice little outdoor area. For larger strongholds, a Zakuul palace based off of Vaylin's would be awesome. And my top pick would be Copero. I'd love to have a medium size home area, but then the little town to mess around with. You could make multiple living spaces, and/or actually make it a small town with shops and restaurants and such. It would be different, and have flexible decorating options. The new Feast of Prosperity decos would be awesome for creating a diner.
  8. I would want them fully voiced though. For romanced comps there should be a kiss option, similar to the Dragon Age games. It'd be cool to have little daily quests with them as well, maybe they could even be worth a small amount of conquest points. I really wish they would do some of these things to make it feel like our favorite companions are still an important part of our character's lives.
  9. Dantooine would be fun, especially something Nar Shaddaa sized, or possibly the interior that size with a not too large exterior as well. That being said, my top pick for a new stronghold is still Copero. Though, for that one I'd love to have them to the little town. I think it would be fun to have a bunch of little buildings. I'd make one a home and then create little shops and restaurants. All the new Feast of Prosperity decos would be great for something like that.
  10. That's cool. I didn't play STO for very long. The space missions frustrated me to no end, lol. But, they could definitely upgrade the character creation here. It's the worst out there by any stretch, but I'd love to see more variety.
  11. It's been ages since I played Star Trek Online. I don't remember having that many character creation options, but it's possible they added more. Anyway, I agree, TOR does need to update their character creation, and not with one or two new hairstyles, but a broad expansion of options. I get changing to a slider is probably not realistic, but I wish we had more options in general. Like each facial feature being it's own choice( I dream, I know). Also, yeah, purple Twi'lek skin would be awesome. I wish Leia's Cloud City, and Ewok camp hairstyles were available. Padme has some cool styles too. I'd also like to see more of the hairstyles be available for both genders. There are some that are gender specific but could easily be used on either.
  12. I actually don't mind the size. They seem more realistically scaled to the characters.
  13. I really miss Galactic Rampage. I liked having that tick off as I puttered around the galaxy. I could see how it might be difficult to apply it to PvP at the same scale that it does to PvE, but there must be something they could put there in place of it.
  14. I actually really enjoy fps, though Hammer Station is not one I do often. I'm in the minority here, but Traitor Among the Chiss is my favorite, lol. I don't do any of them much when going after conquest because they take a bit more time with alts. I am more likely to do them when getting conquest on my mains. I really like the idea of getting the same benefits by just gaining lots of points on one toon that I do by running lots of alts through.
  15. I wonder how hard it would be to add rampages to ops as well as planets. Like have the numbers be exactly the same but have them tied to ops as well. I've never done one and belong to small guilds so I don't really have to opportunity to do them, is there something like that already in place? It seems to me that some of the things that apply to solo and small group could also be made to apply to larger multiplayer stuff. I don't play it, but I want the people who do to have the same options that my play style offers me. Balance means making it equal not just tilting scales back and forth. Once they opened the point box up for solo they created a situation where they can't find balance by nerfing them again without creating an atmosphere of punishment. Leave what is already on the live servers, add to multiplayer to find that balance. I'm going to say it again and again because the message needs to be heard clearly and without white noise.
  16. Okay so I think with the exception of a few posters, the general consensus is that the multiplayer stuff needs to buffed up to the level of the solo/small group stuff. Most people also seem to agree that it shouldn't mean a nerf for the solo/small group stuff. We need to be really clear and concise about this or the point will get buried and the dev team will disregard it. Then in a few months or a year when the taking from one group and giving to another doesn't achieve what they wanted it will happen all over again and we'll be right back here screaming on the forums. Dev team, buff multiplayer points and offer them more objectives. Leave solo play as it is on the live servers. Don't buff it, don't nerf it, just leave it. Let your players do what they want and have fun while gaining conquest points. You want to reduce toxicity, you want people to do group more and try different things. I'd be willing to bet that if you didn't make changes that pit one player group against the other you would actually see less toxicity and more willingness to do different things.
  17. Yep, multiplayer, and more time consuming content needs a buff. I don't really do much in the way of large multiplayer, but it is more time consuming and should be equal to the solo stuff. I still don't understand why they keep acting like conquest points are tangible items that have to be rationed out. Thinking that way just creates anger and bitterness between playstyles. In turn, that reduces the willingness to actually engage with those other players and try different things. Just add points where needed and leave the rest alone.
  18. Yeah, I held back from responding to that post as well. Of course, being a "braindead" solo player I probably just didn't fathom the hidden genius, lol. They need to further roll back the nerfs. If the devs insist on reducing the point value it needs to be a far softer reduction, or the activities need to be repeatable by character rather than legacy. In general, objectives should be repeatable by character. If players can achieve conquest quickly doing what they enjoy they're going to be more interested in putting energy into conquest. At the very least all objectives should be open to being repeated on each side each day.
  19. I don't play GSF, but this suggestion seems reasonable and fair to me. I hope the devs see it and put it into effect.
  20. I like the idea of having the weekly rewards reflect how many "dings" a person hit. Granted, this is all theoretical since if this ever happened it wouldn't be likely to happen this go round. But they're going to continue to struggle to find a way to make conquest good for solo/group and large/small guilds as long as they keep trying to apply the same logic to the different styles.
  21. I love my agents, I have a marksmanship sniper and a heal spec'd operative. These two are my favorite characters to play. I have other toons I enjoy and sometimes binge with, but these are the two I always come back to and will generally default to. If getting them hundreds upon hundreds of points didn't take from my guild's ability to collect encryptions I'd enjoy the conquest grind so much more. It goes back to what someone else was saying about the need to look at the motivations for going after conquest. If the focus switched to that I think it would make the balancing act much easier. Also looking at what the differences between how and why guilds of different sizes go after conquest. As I said in another post, a large guild likely has very different motivations and styles for conquest than a small one. For small guilds opening up ships is likely and the end goal is encryptions. If that's the goal for them they are going to be alt hopping like mad and trying to spread personal conquest goals over as many toons as possible. On the other hand, a large guild is far more likely to be focusing on winning control of a planet. They're more likely to be running large group content that's more time consuming both to organize and to play.
  22. I quite like this idea. However, I would point out that the reason many members of small guilds go after multiple alts is to net more encryptions. If personal conquest handed out encryptions this would be fantastic. I mean, I have a bunch of alts, but I have toons I vastly prefer playing over others. If I could focus on those toons rather than spreading conquest out over multiple toons for the encryption gain it would actually make conquest a lot more fun. Also, if they would look at the broad net of feedback there is a theme that seems to apply to players of all types. Repeatability. Here's the thing, players like playing what they like playing. When they make everything legacy or once a day it forces people to stop playing characters and activities they want to play in order to hit conquest. Make things repeatable. Why does it actually even matter what kind of a playing a player does to hit conquest? Make things repeatable and let people earn conquest organically by doing what they enjoy doing. Make the super easy stuff like decorating, gift giving, taxi's once per day, but really limit the amount of once per day or legacy and allow players to achieve their conquest goals through doing what they like for as long as they like. Obviously, the more time consuming content would need to be worth a higher point value because it wouldn't be possible to repeat it as many times in a day, but I really think if there was more repeatable objectives for what a player does organically you'd avoid a lot of headache.
  23. ^^^ So much this! My guildies and I love running vet fps together. We've been trying to do some MM as well but with only three of us that gets a little more complicated. Vet fps let us up the difficulty a bit.
  24. I actually enjoy heroic missions, not every single one, but I have favorites and areas I go to regularly or cycle through. They aren't being buffed again, they're still lower than what they currently are on the regular servers. They're changing the planned nerf to be less than what they initially purposed. To the devs, if you're going to nerf the heroic mission objective than please don't make it one per day per legacy. Since I enjoy heroics I'd love it to be infinitely repeatable, but I get that seems to be something you really don't like doing with objectives. With that lowered point value it needs to be once per day, per character. I still think the point value is too low. With the way conquest is on the live servers it works so well for tiny alt-filled guilds. We can achieve our conquest goal and still have time for players to engage in play that isn't conquest focused if they choose to. Please consider that the reasons for doing conquest for a small guild are different than those of a large guild. A tiny guild is not aiming to win control over a planet. The mega guilds make that pretty much impossible. I'd bet that most small guilds, like the ones I'm in, are really just trying to open their flagships. Counting myself, there are three active players in my guilds. We run multiple alts through conquest and then collect as many encryptions as we can. Our guild doesn't work less than a larger guild to hit those goals. When you consider it's three people hitting personal conquest multiple times those three people are actually putting forth a lot of time and effort to make it happen. If you're going to nerf the easy, soloable, or small group content then please consider reducing the personal conquest goal if a guild is invading the small yield planets. This would allow the small guilds to continue to work toward opening their ships at a reasonable rate.
  25. Same thoughts exactly, but I'll also plus 1 because some would enjoy the novelty for a bit.
