  1. I'm with everyone against the kill option. I don't want to romance him, but I'm tired of interesting characters being killed off.
  2. In Vector I trust, always, lol. My agent is married to Vector. She trusts Rivix about as far as she could throw him. Considering she's the teeniest body type, that is not far, lol. I do think he's an interesting character though, and love the VA. Although, I'm always thinking "Fenris, Fenris Fenris!" I kinda get the impression he suspects my agent is working against the Empire.
  3. I totally agree. There should be enough options for people to enjoy the game the way they want to. I just forced myself through a pvp match on a stealther. I did not AFK, for the record. I killed a few people and managed not to die, but there was a lot of stealth, hide, heal, back to try to help, rinse and repeat. However, I really have trouble visually tracking everything going on in there and doubt I was all that much help to the team.. It was not an enjoyable experience, difficult to see what was going on, stressful because I couldn't take the time to understand what I was seeing. I'm sure my teammates would have had more fun with someone who knew what they were doing. Quick addition, credit where it's due, no one was rude to me. I didn't run into any problems on that front. I feel it's important to say that because PvP players tend to get lumped into the "toxic" category and even though it isn't my jam, I don't think it's fair to generalize them.
  4. I adore Theron, but I rarely romance him. I write in in an RP with a friend and it's created a mindset where I can only envision him with her character, lol. It's cool though, he is delicious! I really like Arn. I guess I'm a sucker for the sweet, damaged ones, lol. I do hope they give him a romance option though. I think there's room for him and another Force-weilding LI for people who'd rather a more seasoned option.
  5. This ^^ Additionally, there are players, like myself, who are not fully physically-abled. Group activities with random people are not a great option for us. We need extra time and patience to do some things. Gating objectives behind group content is excluding us from completing stuff, or forcing us to engage in activities that are miserable. What they should do is keep the number of objectives that have to be hit, but add more options so that people can choose according to their play style and skill level.
  6. Thank you so so much. It really did help. It made sense and the picture was helpful as well!
  7. As I recall, Charles hinted that Arn would become a romance option. I was disappointed that there were zero flirt options with him this go round. You do get a letter saying that he might face the Jedi trials soon. Do you think we'll get the romance option once that done? I'd love to get an update on this from the devs. Is this still going to happen?
  8. Could someone help me find the reroll option? I have a visual disability and I'm really having a hard time figuring out where to click to reroll. I'm not even sure where to look for it, and someone said it's a teeny symbol. I doubt I'm gonna find it without a bit of guidance.
  9. There really needs to be a weekly objective available for solo players. I enjoy doing the odd vet fp, however, I do not enjoy using groupfinder to do it. I have a visual disability that requires me to go a bit slower than others and grouping with random people is often a problem in that regard. I also find it near impossible to use the chat feature in these scenarios. Even with the settings fine-tuned, I have to take a minute to focus my eyes enough to see it. It's not fun for me, and it's not fun for them. Please consider your players with special needs. Many of us cannot comfortably participate in group content at the same level as others. I get the idea of encouraging harder content but you need to quit trying to force group and solo players together. The two player types have very different styles and goals when playing. It doesn't make the content more enjoyable for either player base.
  10. Considering all the mmos that have folded I never quite think of SWTOR as having failed since it's still going. I've played WoW, or tried to a few times. I find it to be a painful, boring slog. I've been playing this game almost since launch. The thing is, I think part of the perception of failure is that it's an mmo that also appeals to solo players on a broader level than games like WoW. These players aren't jumping in groupfinder, they aren't hanging out on the fleet. They're bouncing around, doing their own thing, or maybe only play with one or two friends doing flashpoints or heroics. I think it sometimes creates the perception of a lower game population. I can see how that would be frustrating for people who enjoy endgame, and seem like a failure. I think one of SWTOR's biggest struggles is identity. Bioware has a strong appeal to people who like the immersive stories in their games. Then you add the mmo element and you pull in people interested in group content. They've got two important player bases who often want totally different things. The dev team does seem to struggle to find the right balance most of the time. But after almost ten years the game is still running, and getting content updates (ok, content trickles.) I don't think a decade of business can really be called a "failure." I know it has its issues, but SWTOR is actually one of my favorite games. It's tied for that with the Dragon Age games. So, admittedly, I'm biased.
  11. My main is a marksmanship sniper. Love playing her. I have an operative in heal spec. For some reason, a tech healer clicks better for me. I enjoy both, but the sniper is my go too.
  12. Thanks for sharing this video. I got on the PTS when they started running the new GS stuff, but I just didn't have time to actually do anything.
  13. I'm not a fan of Lana's. That being said, I'm also not a fan of kill options being imposed on LI characters. I will never romance her but there are people who do like her and who do. I would like the option to dismiss her from my team, but I know the result would be the same as a kill option. Granted, if that were the case they could and should have future content reflect character romances and choices. I wish they'd have more variety in the interactions. For some players it just doesn't make any sense that Lana is the one always there. For others it makes perfect sense and it should remain the case for them. My main is an IA who married Vector and who clashes with Lana at every turn. It would make so much more sense for Vector to be the one at her bedside in scenes after his return. The same goes for any LI character. I realize money talks, literally in the case of voice acting, so this will probably remain a pipe dream. It's just super immersion breaking when they use the same companion for every player, regardless of choices made. It wouldn't matter which companion they use. It's not one size fits all, no matter how much they try to make it so.
  14. My current goal is to finish working with my editors and get my fourth novel published midway through the year. Then I'm slated to work on second edition releases of my first three novels. So basically, my goal is to edit, edit, and edit some more. Do more work on my house and gardens. Other goals are in the air due to the pandemic.
  15. I suffer from a rare eye condition. I'm extremely near-sided, but also have issues when there isn't enough contrast. The galaxy map is something of a constant headache for me. The blue background with blue font color is basically a nightmare for me to see. If I have a mission it's one thing, I can find the triangle to indicate my mission, but sometimes I'm just trying to travel to a planet. That's just one example, and the one I run into the most frequently. There are several places in the game where the font color is just a lighter shade of the background color.Having higher contrast options would be great. There are also several places in the game where the location is so dark that it's nearly impossible to really see what I'm doing. Now, switching to the the lowest graphic setting does help that, but it's annoying to have to switch my settings back and forth when my computer is perfectly capable of running at higher settings.. It has improved since I got a new computer with a 4k screen, but Mek-Sha is still something of a nightmare unless I stop and switch to the lowest graphic setting. I do understand if there's not much to be done for the second issue, but the font and background contrast issue would be great to see addressed.
  16. I just wish they'd bring back whichever quests were removed that made it impossible to earn the Makeb Gazebo. I want the Gazebo, but I also want to earn it. I like having those goals to chase after, and then I derive even more satisfaction when I have the decorations up in my strongholds.
  17. There really isn't a right or wrong answer to this. It depends on what you like and don't like. Personally, while there are elements about KotFE/KotET that I don't like, I actually enjoy them as a whole. I feel like my characters get their own little Star Wars movies. I skip to Ossus with some of my toons, I have many, but I've also played all the story from beginning to end multiple times. I don't hate the Alliance and none of my characters have returned to their original factions. Try it out on a character and see if you like it. I have found that I enjoy it more on certain characters than I do others, but again, that's just me.
  18. Even if Ubisoft creates an mmo, SWTOR is an already established game with an established player base. SWTOR also has things that make it different from other mmo's. I can't say I've played every mmo out there, but I've played enough to say that the story element in SWTOR is much more expansive and immersive than your general mmo. Other companies being able to make Star Wars games isn't a death sentence for SWTOR. May cause some bumps now and again, but it may also bring some good things. Competition can be an excellent motivator.
  19. There is some resolution to that in game. I could be misremembering. I haven't played it in a little while, and I'm also super tired right now.
  20. I can't not romance Vector, and if I romance Vector I can't leave him. Granted, I also have a habit of just remaking my main and having them fall in love over and over again, lol.
  21. I could work with ONderon, but my top choice would be Copero. I'd love to have a stronghold that was made up of several of those little buildings in the town part of the fp.
  22. Jackie requested that I send her an example of the character love threads in a PM. I sent Vector's (personal bias, lol). She asked how many I thought there were. I couldn't venture a guess as to precise numbers but I pointed out that it was probably safe to assume any romance option had one, and that it might be wise to assume that most, if not all, of the vanilla companions had one. I hope that they listen and keep those threads unlocked. Sometimes responses are few and far between, but I think they should remain open.
  23. Weirdly, my agent who is married to Vector got a letter from Theron that sounded rather romantic. She's never picked a single flirt with Theron, but he's apparently quite attached to her now, lol.
  24. There is one problem I have with locking threads based on when they last had a post. Some of the love threads will go awhile without posts, but when something new comes up with that character people use the thread again. I have no problem with locking threads that have no relevance, but I think character fan threads should be an exception to this. Sometimes characters get new content, a new player discovers that character for the first time, etc, etc.
