  1. My big one is Reputation. It either comes from Cartel items (real money) or from Heroics (which can be soloed by some classes...). I would have given out Reputation liberally just from doing planet content (low Rep) and given high rep items from Heroics. I'd have given out a full modable armor set at level 30 or around the end of Chapter II as your end of chapter reward. No sense in being in greens at that point in the game. I'd have had a neutral area where opposite faction would be able to assemble and roleplay or set up pvp matches at arena terminals, choosing which maps you'd like and so on. Flag players as being neutral to each other in the area and so on. Include stims/medpac vendors. I'd PvP so so much if this existed.
  2. Speaking of the Rakata....anyone remember the mission contact for a Rakata mission I think on Coruscant, you had to click some objects then you were threatened by Rakata holo that you could destroy? Not The Thing That Czerka Found on Tatooine, this one was on pub side...couldn't find it recently.
  3. And SCORPIO, though to be fair she might stay loyal just so she could kill you later. Same with Malvai Quinn. But nice find OP, makes me less uneasy. I mean, if I got frozen in 2010 and woke up now there would be some hell of catching up to do, but it would be bearable.
  4. You need them for set bonus gear which you need for ops/pvp no? That was my understanding of Ops necessity.
  5. Nope. My friend and I are 55 (we decided to wait on free release for Shadow of Revan) so I've only ever done the Gree Operation. Operations don't affect us at all so we're in for the story content.
  6. Because she is hilariously over the top despite average ability. She harkens back to the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, or any number of evil twin iterations and so on. I always let her live because her mail to you is insanely over the top in its self-aggrandizement.
  7. Oh hell yes, and anything Tharan Cedrax really. I'd rather use medpacs than Tharan on most of my characters, exception being my jerk Dark Side Consular. On topic, my ship droid tell me I am thick around the middle and packing healthy lunches. While humorous the first time...
  8. I have played both to 55 (Well, my Op is 50ish right now...) and I very much enjoyed my Sniper, but I'll list off the advantages/disadvantages to both: Sniper: Advantages: Almost always in cover and your abilities work off cover, including damage reduction and status protection; A lot of damage. You can stack Laze Target, the other one (red icon) and your snipe to nearly insta-snipe and deliver a lot of front-loaded damage. Went Virulence on mine and you can add a lot of toxic damage to your attacks; Nice protection with Shield Probe, Ballistic Shields and the "roll"; Disadvantages: If something closes to melee, it's bad juju. You can knife one and stun them or drop Flashbang or Diversion for some extra escape time, but you are not going to survive in melee; No heals for the most part. You can heal outside of combat (as all classes can) and I believe there is a tack-on to SHield Probe thta heals you a little, but you can't survive a lot of sustained incoming damage, though cover and so on help a lot. You have a fair amount of defensive cooldowns but you could really use the Sentinel Cooldown that heals you a bit once you are down health, or the Bounty Hunter one that constantly leaves you at 30% health. (Sorry for the lack of names, woke up 15 minutes ago ) Overall: I very much enjoyed my Sniper, but she was more enjoyable pre 3.0 when I could spec a little here and a little there and drop Interrogation Probe and Shield Probe nonstop. If you like the feel of a pillbox fighter, go nuts with this. Operative: Advantages: Ever see the "Ask the Ninja" Youtube blurbs? Of course not, because he's killed you first! That's the idea here, except less niniature golf. You have a Stealth ability and connected buffs that let you increase footspeed when you leave stealth and that let you re-enter stealth to leave combat; You have a nice mix of tools that help you negotiate combat on your terms; a sleep dart that will incapacitate a tough boss while you pick off others, heals that work off your Tactical Advantage, a Shield Probe, etc.; You are fairly survivable compared to the Sniper. Disadvantages: You are melee. Yes, you do have the ability to enter cover and shoot from range, but many of your hard hitters are right up close and from behind; You need Tactical Advantage or positioning to trigger most abilities. Luckily TA is obtainable by using your powers and through a one-time click that grants it; Your range arsenal isn't all that. You have a sleep dart, a slow, and a grenade and your cover. A bit more of a single-target specialist than the Sniper. Overall, I've enjoyed my Operative. Very survivable and the "group stealth" power is invaluable if you want to breeze Flashpoints of any kind. Being in melee is kind of stressful but you burst out so much thanks to stealt hand TA that you will overcome most mobs fairly quickly.
  9. I was confused because it sounds like a reboot of the game, no Empire or Republic led me to believe we would not be able to meet those factions as "60/65 is the new Level One", basically we could play our old stuff for fun or as a museum setpiece but we are expected to have a level 60 or free slot to generate a 60 once the new game launches. Why I'm hoping for a more detailed post (an FAQ would be ideal) but I am happy that we get to keep all our stuff and so on, while wondering if the Outlander can access GTN, personal startship, etc.
  10. Since we're on this topic, I have it unlocked and see it under Legacy - Other but there is no option to buy it on my level 45 Agent. I've heard you need to go under Legacy-Character Perks to do this, is this correct?
  11. I can see it like in the old City of Villains game with Masterminds. You had Tier 1 pet (weak) x3 Tier 2 pet (stronger) x2 and Tier 3 pet (Top end) x1. Your little panel had a "Default all attack", "Default all defend", "Default all stay" and then you could assign movement to each of the pet models. So....it's possible but it would need some serious work for it to happen.
  12. This sounds about right. I am getting 5-7 levels in (level 40+) on my Agent at the moment for 3-5 hours of gameplay. At low levels you will be gaining 2-4 levels per completion, I was easily level 14 by the time I left Ord Mantell on my Smuggler.
  13. Very cool thread idea. Substitute: "New Good Guys" and "New Bad Guys" for Empire and Republic where needed. Mako - Gives up on crime and becomes a merchant on Tatooine; Gault: Pilfers Mako's merchandise and re-sells on Nar Shadaa for kicks; Torian: Fasts and eventually goes on a vengeance quest; Blizz: Strips the ship and sells parts on Tatooine; Skadge: Reforms, becomes a pacifist and tires the Jedi code; Kaliyo: Senseless violence and is tortured on Korriban; Vector: Becomes one with the Oroboro Nest in contemplation; Doctor Lorkin: Unethical medical experiments on the Voss; Ensign Temple: Cipher Agent training; SCORPIO: "Taking control of this ship, set course for Yavin 4. Resistance will be met with assimilation of mind-patterns."; Qyzen Fess: Fasting and contemplation on Tatooine, eventually turns to Dark Side; Tharan Cedrax: Opens a club on Balmorra for the wounded military, Holiday provides dancing; Nadia Grell: Without guidance, falls to Dark Side and sells double chocolate chip cookies on Korriban; Zenith: Goes back to Balmorra and becomes relentless in his hunt of the Empire; Lt. Iresso: Slowly accepts the Consular's disappearanc and humbly serves the Republic as a soldier. Decorated for valor; Vette: Becomes a smuggler of rare spices; Malvai Quinn: Betrays the Dark Council for the last time, RIP; Jaesa: Becomes insensate with rage and Dark Side energy, sadly ends as a battery for the Dread Masters; Lt. Pierce: Becomes an alcoholic, reminescing about the old days with the squad; Broonmark: Returns to Hoth and turns to the Republic side; Kira Carsen: Falls to the Dark Side, sadly the Dark Side here is as a dancer for Nemro the Hutt; T7-01: Electroshocks Doc. A LOT. ; Doc: Spends his time trying to cruise Kira Carsen on Tatooine, gets turned down a lot; Sgt Rusk. "MISSION 100% SUCCESS SIR! SADLY FOR THE WHITE MAW. LET'S GET SOME BODIES AND GO AGAIN SIR!" ; Lord Scourge: Becomes the galaxy's most reknowned wine-maker, his shop, "Take a Sith of This", can't meet demand; Aric Jordan:Finally removes that cartridge that has been stuck up his regulations, lives blissfully; Elara Dorne: Goes rogue and is killed fighting bounty hunters near Quesh; M1-4X: "I AM THE REPUBLIC'S LAST BASTION. DEATH TO ALL THAT OPPOSE...OOH, NEW RANCOR MOUNT!"; Khem Val: "YN AND CHABOSH NIGHT AT THE STAR CLUSTER CANTINA, LITLE SITH." ; Andronikos Revel: Embittered and lonely, spends his time playing Sabacc in the Sunken Sarlaac Cantina; Ashara Zavros: Turns completely Dark and tries to assault Tython's Jedi Temple, dying near the CounciL Chambers; Corso Riggs: Becomes a ship repairman on Coreliia, finding solace in the endless work; Bowdaar: Rips a few arms off then starts a cooking holoshow called "Wok with Wookies", laughter ensues;
  14. What it looks like to me is that they are going to remove the quests like: "Hey Jedi, why don't you go kill 20 Collicoids for us, they are trapping us! BONUS: KILL 5 COLLICOID BOSSES AND 8 COLLICOID NESTS!" With bonuses like that, I would have stayed on my ship...so if they clean all that crap out, they can leave in the decent planet quests like Darth Gravus' assault on the Republic and Thana Vesh mixer, The Thing Czerka Found, and some of the smaller questlines. The goal is likely to get to 65 (or 60 or whatever) mainly by using your class, but hey, if you feel a need to slam down some Rakghouls to help Iana Cell with her serum... Edit:Re-reading the whole article, they say they have monitored our play habits and are axing it toward what we do most. This makes sense in light of recent changes; more xp for Warzones (people like Warzones), more class content (people love/demand class content) and less grindy stuff. As stated there you can still do what you used to do, but now you will have the bonus of getting companions from factions as well.
  15. YEah, I PM'd Eric Musco for a Q&A of some sort, we'll see I guess. There are a ton of questions, mechanical and otherwise, that it would be nice to have some infromation on.
  16. This could be like in the Agent stoyline where... They have the tech to lock you out of your companions already, this looks to be on a larger scale.
  17. We really need an FAQ about what happens to our "stuff" on our ship, Legacy, credits, GTN, Flashpoints...please?
  18. I have a lot of mechanical questions: 1.GTN...credits, all goes poof or is the new Outlander part of my legacy? 2.Warzones; will our new character be able to enter warzones and Flashpoints in the old game? I think the latter point was addressed in that they will scale up? 3.Crew skills? Don't really want to have to grind a crew skill to 450 or 500 on an Outlander alt. I mean, I am really excited about new content but...a lot of unanswered questions?
  19. So, for the odd ones among us still at 55, can we level to 60 then 65 in the new content or will our characters be gated to 60?
  20. Would that make them...Muscovites? Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week! To the OP, cool, would be awesome if we could have images of ourselves fighting.
  21. I used to work from home 30ish hours and play CoX 20-25 hours, rest of the time was out paying bills, socializing and doing stuff. I play 2-3 hours a day of SWTOR because I can't just sit in area and farm mobs to get high-end drops and sell them on the GTN. If ever this game got instanced farming I'd create multiple accounts and just power level them to max with max gear in no time. The only thing I miss about old SWTOR is the skill trees. Those were awesome.
  22. This. And EVE is an awesome game. I got my clock cleaned as a new player but I got enough skills to get a good stealth ship that returned the favour in no-time flat. Only reason I'm here is none of my friends wanted to play a sandbox game.
  23. Esh-Kha or Jawa please. Ah. From your list... Rodian Sullustian Nautolan Bothan Mon Calamari Falleen Zeltronian Quarren Dressellian Aqualish Kel Dor Arcona
  24. http://www.cinematix.us/RKFRD/the_sp7.jpg This, except instead of being a sphinx it could be a star cruiser or star destroyer or as suggested previously, a mini Death Star or a large sun. Basically, it should obstruct landscape at least 20 feet all around the user and be a total, gaudy eyesore! Edit: There are some gaudy mounts in game as is, but most can be navigated around or at least ignored as they wrap around the character. Ideally, my mount would extend 3-5 feet vertical above, 5-10 feet across and glow with the light of a thousand suns! "Ooooooh there's that slow load Ursule in her sun mount!" "No worries Darth Pez, by the time we reach stage two of the Flashpoint she'll be aloe with the sun."
