Depends on your situation, PvP or PvE? I never really liked engineering to begin with, so I don't play it. Found it kinda clunky. For Marksman, its the true turret spec. Burst heavy spec. When you crit, you'll see big numbers. For Virulence, great mobility, but not much in terms of burst dmg. You only stand still for Cull and Snipe/Lethal Shot. And no insta-snipe.

I prefer the Agent story more than the Smuggler. With the Agent, you feel like a pebble that can create tidal waves across the galaxy. The Agent's lines can come off as snarky and sarcastic at times though, but that's what I like about the Agent. Delivery is about as good as the Inquisitor.

Gear him the same way you gear yourself.

In RL, its not always 'seek and thou shall find'. Sometimes its just not time yet, so just wait it out. Besides, relationships only work out if your at the right place, right time and with the right person

If you choose tank mode, aka Immortal, as the name suggests, you are practically immortal so to speak... But of course the trade off is that you will kill more slowly. Any spec/build is viable for PvE/dailies/ FP, with Tank builds finding parties more easily though.
-
1. Any spec will do. Only difference in the specs is kill time and survivability. 2. Gender is merely a cosmetic thing, though it affects your romance options. 3. Tanks are always needed.

Black talon, complete then crash
Roxas_kun replied to DeimosXlll's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Also crashes on Foundry FP IIRC. -
Both are equally good and fun to play. Both perform well in their respective roles. Overall, just ask yourself, Cover vs No Cover? Medium vs Heavy? Dual Wield Pistols vs BFG?

Only classes that use blaster rifles are Trooper and Agent. They have basic proficiency in blaster rifles from the start. Of course with their advance classes, only Vanguard and Operative focus on blaster rifles. Of course the other 2 advance classes, Commando and Sniper, can use them too, but why would you want to when you have access to more class specific weapons? Next question is what role you wish to play? Vanguard is Tank/DPS, Commando is Heal/DPS, Sniper is DPS only, and Operative is Heal/DPS.

No problems here. Besides, I like the great balls of fire. How else would people know when they are at full zen/fury? The buff icon is tiny, you practically squint to see how many stacks you have...

As a low lvl tank, I focus on the biggest, strongest target. Jump in, smash and smack down the biggest target. Your DPS should be able to handle everything else. To try and grab everything and maintain threat on all the mobs may be overstretching yourself. I don't think Juggs have enough aoe to manage that.

Hybrids are purely for fun. As mentioned by others, some classes make for better hybrids than others. However, take note that hybrids are by nature "Jack of all Trades, Master of None" with regards to their specific class roles...

There are only two kinds of people who can dictate the pace of the FP/Op. Healers and Tanks. DPS hardly have a say as they have to follow either. As easy as the content may be, if you can't be bothered to work as a group why bother with the group content? Might as well go solo. Group content is GROUP content for a reason. Best class to play when people can't or refuse to work together is healer. You get to choose who to lives and who dies. Besides, people of any class are easily replaceable. You can be a god, but that doesn't mean I have to follow.

are we skipping bosses now?
Roxas_kun replied to tabross's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Sadly, that's the problem nowadays. People only want to rush through content. I however, will go for 100% completion for any FP, SM or HM. Of course for the bonus bosses in HM, if DPS isn't high enough then no bonus boss drop(s). -
Allan Quartermain put it best for gunslingers, 'Fire enough bullets and hope to hit the target.' Of course snipers > gunslingers. And to add another Allan Quartermain quote, 'If you can't do it with one bullet, don't do it at all.'

Gear check For Group Finder, becoming a necessity.
Roxas_kun replied to Tachenko_Yuri's topic in General Discussion
There will always be that odd undergeared player, but that's no reason to be angry about the system. You only ever need a good tank and good healer, and maybe a mediocre DPS to complete most HM's. If you don't like what you get from Group Finder, don't use it. When people hit 50, they'll usually queue for the HM's before gearing up first. Besides, its always nice to do carries and teach the new 50's about end-game stuff. -
Try an MM/Engineering Hybrid. 1. Ambush + Explosive Probe + Followthrough = >12k dmg 2. SoS + Cluster Bombs + Followthrough = >12k dmg Give me a higher burst than that in a shorter period of time! Plus you get Orbital Strikes that can hit for >5k per hit, with a 45 sec cooldown. But of course mobility would also be the worst part of the build.

So far for me, easiest healer to manage is... Operative/Scoundrel > Mercernary/Commando > Sorcerer/Sage
-
Obviously, it'll be hard to perform at whatever the chosen role may be if not traited properly. However, At lower levels, the roles don't exactly make or break a party. Roles only start getting defined around lvl20+. That's when people start getting their key skills for whatever role they choose. Below lvl20, everyone is just another dps wearing either light, medium or heavy armor. But that's my opinion.

Mandalorian Raiders Noob Question
Roxas_kun replied to westcoastmos's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Not exactly a hard fight. Its more of a test to healers than anything. Kill order is always Warrior/Knight > Inquisitor/Sage > Bounty Hunter/Trooper > Sniper/Gunslinger. -
Its Power vs Speed. MM makes you feel like a sniper. Most PvE stuff is Snipe > Followthrough > Ambush > Followthrough > Takedown > Followthrough For 1v1 stuff, nothing beats MM output. Lethality provides you flexibility and mobility. You are less dependent on cover. Everything revolves around Cull.

Companions you wanted to have but couldn't

Thana Vesh. Who wouldn't want her? -
IMO... Short Term: MM > Lethality Long Term: MM < Lethality Another way to look at it is Power vs. Mobility.
