  1. I like this idea, but would take it a step further. Have different colours for messages from guild members (green), friends (purple) and system admin (blue?). Anything else could be yellow.
  2. I've done this twice and I still can't believe how many people can't get that puzzle. Look, here's a door with a force field and three coloured lights over the top that I haven't seen before. Oh, and here's some coloured cables, let's see where they go. I actually liked that puzzle. I like things that aren't just 'kill this mob'. These last two chapters have been ok for me from a story point of view. Chapter X showed the blind masses of Zakuul and Chapter XI shows what happens to those that question Arcann, but after the mysteries of Gemini and the Gravestone (along with the obelisk in the hold) I thought there would be a small continuation of the more mystical side of the story. I'm glad that Chapter XII will be more about that.
  3. I bit unrelated but I was playing through Korriban Incursion this morning as part of the Forged Alliance mission on my Smuggler. I got all the way through the FP to the final enemy but he would randomly evade, drop from combat and go back to full health. It happened about four or five times before I tried logging off to see if that would help, but it ended up taking me back to the beginning of the FP and I didn't have time to do it before work. I'm going to try again when I get home from work and see what happens.
  4. My characters would do different things. My Knight, Warrior, Trooper, Bounty Hunter and Trooper would save Zakuul and my Inquisitor and Consular would destroy it. I think my Agent would be a bit of a fence sitter. As far as military actions against Zakuul and its civilian population go, he's blown up the generator and the spire but it's in the name of the more spy-based warfare and how the perceptions of civilians affect the outcome of the war. I'm not sure if he would save or destroy them in the end. Considering he chose to take the Star Cabal data he'd probably take control of everything.
  5. Did anyone else notice that Ralo (the guy that confronts you when you first get to Asylum and either thanks you for letting the pods escape or complains that you chose to ram the Eternal Fleet) was on the ship with Koth when he left? I thought that was a pretty cool nod. I chose to blow the spire on my Agent and I'm pretty sure I chose to ram the Fleet. I'd be curious to see if Ralo was there is you chose not to ram them.
  6. I romanced Kaliyo then after she betrayed me I broke up with her and started romancing Raina. Just started playing through on my Agent and I'm undecided if he will romance someone, but he probably will because he's a man whore.
  7. As far as I know there's nothing to stop you from skipping them and you'll still be able to complete the Alliance missions after Chapter 10. In fact, there are a couple of new Alliance missions after Chapter 10.
  8. I was really hoping that we'd have the Gravestone as our ship. It had plenty of room for recruiting companions and an area where you could have a shuttle/personal ship. I think it makes more sense to have a moving base rather than a static one.
  9. I don't have a problem with requiring different modes of gameplay that a player might not usually play, I started to enjoy the PVP towards the end, but 20 pvp missions is a lot. If it was reduced to 10, I think that would be a lot better.
  10. Chapters 1 to 9 are designed to introduce you to the new galaxy order that KotFE have introduced. Once you've finished that the game opens up again.
  11. Quoted for truth. They only ever said you would get 1 free level 60. Why would you assume that that means you can delete it and get another one for free? I'm not attacking you, I'm simply stating that all they ever said was that you would get 1 free level 60.
  12. I quite like the idea of linking companion recruitment missions to different areas of the game, but it just needs a little tweaking. I agree that the requirement should be dropped from 20 to 10 for the PvP missions. For those that don't play PvP at all I think makes it too hard for PvE and just annoys serious PvP players. I also quite like that Lokin's quest involves the Rakgoul event. I like how everything's tying together to make a more cohesive and seamless story.
  13. I was really sad when HK-55 died. I was really looking forward to having him as a companion going forward and a lot of the funny scenes in KotFE involved him (Are. We. There. Yet?), but I really hope they leave him dead. Death needs to mean something in this game. Having him resurrected is a slap in the face to how he died. It needs to be permanent.
  14. Myself and a friend tried to group to play through Chapters 1 to 9 together in early access and we weren't able to. We couldn't start it together and it wasn't until Chapter 3 when we both got to a general area. We then tried to enter a phase together and it wouldn't let us. From the look of it, the chapters are designed to be completed solo with no option for grouping, but the post-Chapter 9 missions you can group and do together.

  16. There's more than one so, yes, expansions.
  17. I think KotFE comes out around the 27th October for subscribers.
  18. Been a while since I've played the JK story but
  19. Congrats! I'm closing in on my 4th level 60 as well. I've leveled 3 others to 55 with the bonus as well. Just got a Smuggler to go! As a few people have stated already, come the new expansion, you won't have to worry about gearing companions. In the mean time, the bonus commendations you get as part of epic XP will give you enough to take a trip to the fleet every couple of planets to upgrade yours and your companion's gear. If you just want to level fast you can head straight to Makeb at level 47 (mission can be started on your ship). You want to finish your class story on Corellia first if you want as Makeb does give some spoilers for how that turns out. The benefit of going straight to Makeb is you can access bolster, which boosts your health and gear rating above what it would be normally, making it quicker to level. Once you've done that you can do the SoR Prelude, a set of 4 flashpoints that have a solo mode, which makes it pretty quick to get through them. You also get a set of nifty gear to help you on your way. Once you've finished the flashpoints you'll head to Rishi and get 300-odd basic comms. I'd suggest not using them (unless you really, really want to) as you continue to get good gear through the Rishi missions. Between being a higher level than areas require (which happens quite often with epic XP) and changing out mods and armour every couple of planets, you should be pretty right with gear and leveling. Holy ****, my forum number's 224294! I know I was around for beta and was a founder, but I didn't think it'd be that low. I did take a break for a while, but still, wow.
  20. Try being in Australia. We get boned whether the live stream is in the US or Europe. We don't even get our own servers.
  21. Thanks buddy! As of this post your link still worked. Here's mine: http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/3i448
  22. You get the presence boost from going through all the companion stories. You don't need to get them to 10,000 affection to complete all conversations and unlock the bonus. I've got 6 characters finished chapter 3 and all but 1 companion to 10,000 affection, but I don't think maxing affection does anything except give you an achievement. Also, if you're speed leveling, Makeb is easier because of the GSI terminals that give you bolster. It brings your gear up to a level that makes completing RotHC pretty straight forward and then you can go back and finish off chapter 3 and Ilum quicker as well. As others have said, though, in terms of story for you first play through you're better off finishing chapter 3 and Ilum before going on to Makeb. As an aside, you might want to play through the flashpoints before Ilum as well. I thought there was a pretty nice story that ran through the flashpoints (not all of them) and ended with the Ilum missions.
