  1. Aside from the fact only about 3-5 (Out of 17) servers could even be called relatively "busy" in the game.... The bolded is incredibly fallacious. All this shows is your own confirmation bias, but doesn't make any sort of valid point
  2. Yeah just noticed. I'd also like to point out that Harbinger is the server pretty much everyone has been transferring to. I can attest to this as whats left of my own guild just transferred there last month (Large majority have yet to return to SWTOR for 5.0 after playing up until the last month of 4.0) While Harb may be stabilizing with people coming in and going out, overall, the populations elsewhere is declining pretty sharply. Our guild transferred from Shadowlands for that very reason (Pubside)
  3. Right, which server is this? Unless it's Harbinger I assure you ALL of this isn't happening on ANY server, and I'm pretty sure it hasn't even been happening there EDIT: Just read, so Harbinger is the subject. How about posting a screenshot tonight of there being 3 Fleet instances and 2-3 mid-range instances. I'm thinking try Hoth, Alderaan, Belsavis or Balmorra as the mid-range planets
  4. Pot meet kettle Apparently, this is hard for some of you to grasp. Regardless of how many people forum-goers represent, it still represents a sample size. You'd be kidding yourself if you truly believe that, extrapolated into the game-at-large, that "sample size" is insignificant. Given information already released to the public, we can make the deductions ourselves that things haven't been going well Irving himself came out and said the KOTFE model wasn't received well, the monthly chapters plan was abandoned because of this. Do you believe this would be done if only a "small amount" of players turned away? Not too long ago a quarterly report was released showing that EA lost over $1m in subscriptions, with the main culprit singularly and specifically pointed out as being SWTOR. Yet, apparently, only a "small amount" of players are dissatisfied. Think this would've occurred if it was insignificant? By the way, what ever happened to POT5? Jung Ma, Bastion? Why are most of the game's servers on life support despite them being relatively healthy around 2.X? Did you know white-knights were just as defensive then as they are now and swore to people those servers weren't dying and things were going swimmingly. Wonder what happened
  5. 1. You have to "create" the new legacy name, but your accomplishments update to reflect what the transferred legacy already had 2. I've never lost cargo hold slots (Legacy Cargo slots yes) nor things that were in my Personal Cargo. If you're worried, try moving the items most valuable into your inventory 3. No. You do lose outfit tabs and saved outfits though, not a big concern for me but I know it's huge to others 4. No. However SH's are reset and you have to reactivate/redecorate them. Keep in mind you have to pay full price again unless you bought your SH with Cartel Coins 5. Went fine. CS sucks most of the time though
  6. Unfortunately, the reality of this conversation is even more hilariously bad
  7. Unfortunately, change won't come by simply posting complaints on the forums There are ways to send complaints directly to the people who can make a change, and will make a change if enough attention is brought to the need to do so.Stop begging Mr. Irving to listen to you, when you can get the ear of the people he has to listen to Make your voices heard
  8. Or maybe it was the straw that broke the camel's back These "expansions" have offered progressively less and less actual content each time. Iokath and Nathema being touted as new planets? Compare them to any one of Oricon, CZ-198 and Makeb, all released during 2.X, then try and convince anyone that Iokath and Nathema were worth the time by comparison. Uprisings are literally (and they stated this themselves) recycled content. Recycled. The maps are recycled. The NPC's are reskins/renames. What exactly are we paying $15 a month for? Lazy *** devs to trot out the work their predecessors did over and over hoping we don't notice or not caring that we do? If people only did Ops for gear they would've absolutely loved 4.0, but that wasn't the case. To the players who actually enjoy this content, Gear is simply a means to an end. Not the reason for doing it. The faster you got the new gear, the faster you could progress in the new raid. Obviously, this point will be lost on you as your view is rather parochial.
  9. Wow Also, This RNG is gambling. It's designed for you to lose. This video just proved it. For most of this game's life, the gearing was fine. Sometimes it was too easy, other times it made no sense (Like NIM not dropping NIM gear), but at least you knew what you got. This system completely took that away from you and the proposed 5.1 changes really aren't much better. The devs still believe their system is the right system. Foolishly It's pretty clear they lack respect for us, their subscribers. At this point, there's no brighter days in sight for this game and us players unless we demand change, and apparently hundreds of forum posts/threads aren't getting enough attention nor will they amount to the extent of change we need, with that being change in the personnel itself, as the current team is completely out of touch
  10. Last Resort (Former Thread: Last Resort Recruitment) Last Resort is a well-respected Republic guild with an experienced and knowledgeable member base. Our primary focus is on HM/NiM (Vet/Master) progression raiding and other end game content. 11. Sorry about that. Many of us started playing WoW around that time. Guild has now relocated to The Harbinger Best of luck
  12. From that page, this staff member has it right: It's also almost up to 1000 votes. Wonder what that guy who swears only 20 ppl dislike the expansion has to say about that.
  13. It's pretty sad that this game in particular has such a divided community, with the different types of players being almost hostile to the other groups, or condescending. Raiders, PvPers, Story players, Casuals, Hardcore, New/Old players, etc. The common theme these days is to tell people complaining about GC that it isn't made for them, and that BW is doing right NOT addressing the "Vocal Minority". Similar thing occured in 4.0 when BW announced no plans for operations, raiders were told they're playing the wrong game and BW glorified for appealing to the masses instead of the minority. In the end that method didn't work out too well for BW, nor the playerbase, yet here we are again I saw this post somewhere else, it's comments from a designer of another game, the game's name replaced with YYY: Interestingly, they also go on to say this gem: Post-KOTFE, we see just how this occured in SWTOR with most servers pretty much dead these days. Yet apparently, the Devs still don't get it, and they never will, as long as the players themselves keep bickering amongst each other instead of aiming that where it should be aimed and demanding a better game and more open communication for everyone
  14. Nah, SWTOR isn't doing so hot. Which is why they cut every corner imaginable to give us "content" when it's really just repeating the same stuff year after year. Pretty sure there was also a release that listed SWTOR as the biggest culprit behind EA losing over $1m worth of subscriptions, and they aren't going away from the KOTFE model because it was so successful. Infact, Irving flat out stated that model didn't work well in a recent interview
  15. All of you praising the system for allowing you to get "good" gear by doing things you want to do instead of being "forced" into group content like operations/pvp, what exactly are you complaining about here? Why is it your concern that OTHER players are doing this to farm CXP quickly and efficiently? Jealousy? This poster got it right:
  16. This is much needed however I surely hope that it doesn't become you guys patting yourselves on the back, swearing you're "listening" and hear the players but then continuing this nonsense For starters, I suggest reading this thread http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=904332 And actually responding to some posts sommetimes
  17. Gotta admit, it's quite something that BW has managed to alienate players with different interests so drastically, like no other game does. The infighting between which group of players is currently the favored child is silly to watch, but its also a distraction from the real issues with the way BWA has conducted themselves over the last few years But carry on.
  18. This sounds like it should be a petition Anyway, OP is spot on.
  19. Pretty sure the devs are just punking those people without the gall to just stop subbing. Who asked for these terrible changes? I'm currently on the last day of my referrel link sub. I thought about resubbing for KOTET simply because I've always liked playing this game, but it's hard to justify it with the last 2 years of development choices and complete lack of attention to the actual player base
  20. I've played on both. Led a very successful guild on BC and we left it when transfers were cheap Ebon Hawk is undoubtedly more populated. By a very large margin. You can confirm this at TORstatus or simply though observation http://www.torstatus.net/ BC isn't a bad server. I have plenty of friends still there. It's just very slow and for what my guild was interested in (Endgame Content), it was a far superior option to server transfer than toil away due to some false sense of loyalty to a server. I can't speak on the RP scene as I was never part of it but for things outside of RP, Ebon Hawk is a superior choice from experience
  21. Looking to sell our bodies to more of you sexy, glorious people. Book in advance to ensure we can accommodate you
  22. Recruitment open for players looking for HM/NIM raiding Currently running both 8 and 16man HM and 24/26 in Nightmare content. We also offer training for lesser experienced players Apply at our website
  23. This post should absolutely be addressed by Mr Irving. It speaks for me and many, many others I don't care what winds up happening with the event, but with the inept design decisions that led to it continually driving away players, it needs to be answered for
  24. Gabigool said everything I would say and then some. It always amazes me to see that the people in charge here are so out of touch with the player-base. They just don't even try, nor do they try to mask that fact
