  1. Wow that sucks. I was going to get the darkside armors with all the points I've racked up. Already have the darkside saber. Any idea if there's a thread on this somewhere or a way to fix this on our end (i.e. as players)?
  2. Since the last update "war for Iokath" I have noticed that the Sith and Jedi armors with animated lighting effects (Charged and Overloaded Interrogator for Sith, Charged and Overloaded Peacemaker for Jedi) are not displaying the lighting effects properly. I suspect other animated effect armors may also have this issue, but these are the only ones I have. Instead of flowing through the "clear" or "exposed" areas of the armor like normal, the pulsating light/color effects are frozen. In armor preview they flow, but soon as you apply that outfit and exit the character design window they are frozen again. This only started happening since the new patch. I didn't make any changes to my graphics drivers, and I never had this problem til now. And it's annoying since the lighting effects are the only reason I got these armors, I even customized matching lightsabers with matching crystal colors for them. I tried deleting bitraider and re-patching, still have the same issue afterwards. Customer support said "re-install your graphics driver", but I haven't had any issues with the driver on other games and in SWTOR it worked just fine on these armors until the newest patch. Other than these armor effects, I have no graphics glitches in SWTOR so I highly doubt my computer's graphics driver is to blame. I suspect the patch... because in some dailies (like the CZ dailies) if I switch to these armors, the light effects suddenly go 3x faster than normal, then freeze up again! But nothing else gets speeded up, so I doubt my driver is the cause. Anyone had the same thing happen with these armors or know a fix for this?
  3. Why would the harbinger players come back to bastion with each new expansion? They are already established on harbinger now. And if there is going to be a free transfer before server merge, how would we hear about it?
  4. Quick question - was your transfer smooth, or did you end up with glitches, losing items that should have been there in your cargo hold/inventory, losing legacy rep, etc?
  5. I have most of of my Alts on Bastion and am considering moving them to Harbinger. Thing is, I've been on Bastion for like 2 years and I have some very rare items from the good old days, I don't want to lose them due to some transfer glitch. I've heard some things about server transfers and wanted to make sure I know the facts from real people who've done it first. I've read EA's FAQ on transferring and a few things still are confusing and unanswered. Anyone who has actually transferred to Harbinger recently, please answer these questions. 1. If you transfer a character to Harbinger, I know you can merge legacies with a Harbinger toon... but what if you don't have any other chars on Harbinger yet? EA says you will need to create a new legacy for the transferred character. When you do that, do all your achievements, legacy unlocks, titles, etc. from the old legacy on the previous server carry over? Or do you just end up starting a new legacy 100% from scratch with no rep, titles or achievements? I want to preserve the achievements , rep and unlocks on all my chars so please help me here. 2. I know you can take your cargo hold and inventory with you but not legacy stronghold storage. Have any of you lost items that were supposed to be there in your cargo hold after the transfer? Do you keep all the open slots in your cargo holds after transferring, even if they were bought with credits instead of cartel coins? 3. I keep hearing horror stories about people who transferred to Harbinger and ended up losing their cargo hold contents, rare items that are not cartel items or incomplete armor sets therefore could not be unlocked in collections. But those stories are all from 5 years ago. Has this ever happened to you recently? 4. Decorations - I know unlocked decorations are supposed to transfer to the new server along with your toon's legacy. I have some pretty rare ones unlocked. But has anyone ever tried re-activating and re-decorating the new stronghold only to find out that some of their unlocked decos are missing? 5. How smooth was your server transfer overall? Were there any glitches? And did customer service help?
  6. Like all those pubs were ganking me every day in the Gree Event last year? This sort of thing cuts both ways, there's no basis for finger pointing. I'm in an active imp guild (one of the few active bastion guilds left) and we don't troll pubs so long as they leave us alone. I've had solo pubs pick fights with our guild over crystals on Yavin though.
  7. Interesting ideas here, but what do you all think is actually most likely to happen? I see only 3 possibilities. 1. Server merge (best scenario) all legacies and items stay intact. 2. Free character transfer tokens for every Bastion character. Suck that you have to clear out your legacy vault and move everything to cargo holds, and buy strongholds from scratch if you used credits to buy them before... but still you keep a lot of stuff like legacy and REPUTATION and fleet comms (I hope...) 3. They just shut down the server without warning and screw us, delete all chars. Doubtful, as I've never heard of this happening with any EA game or SWTOR server but I've heard of it happening in other MMOs and there are some paranoid ppl out there spouting this sort of nonsense on the net everytime a game or server gets low pop. Based on what you guys have seen with other dead servers and other MMO's, what seems the most likely scenario?
  8. I hope they actually change it back. This is BULL ****. Inflation on the GTN is not going to get fixed by this move. It only rewards the cheaters. A better way might be to put a price cap on GTN listings. And actually make the rare items a bit LESS rare in the packs. I have almost given up on buying packs because I always get such lame items. Best thing I ever got out of a pack was a bronze-grade speeder which took almost a YEAR of listing on the GTN to actually sell at a decent price. It make no sense that a Dominator Throne which used to cost around 5mil a few months ago now costs 100mil on the Bastion server. Given Bastion is dying already, it's basically become nothing but a shark tank of a few crazy-rich trust fund babies plowing 5k of real money into credit farmers and bots, buying hundreds of hypercrates and then selling what little good stuff comes out of them at insane prices. Not sure why inflation got so much worse after KOTFE, but maybe it had something to do with making all the severs both PVP and PVE with the toggle instances button, then everyone just fled to their alt toons in Harbinger. damn that one button really screwed the Bastion. PVP was its only claim to fame before that. Now even SILVER decos from the Gemini pack are several million credits on the bastion.
  9. Yeah, I have all the other colors. bought them back when they were actually under 2mil credits on the Bastion GTN. Now they're insanely pricey lol. But I really want the gold one to match my charged interrogator armor. plus the CE trooper armor is nice too.
  10. http://tor-fashion.com/gold-efficiency-scanner/ I want this bad boy (among other CE items), I am thinking of buying the Collector's Edition so I can get the code and access the CE vendor in the Imperial fleet. Any CE owners who can check, please chime in: Does the CE vendor still have the Gold Efficiency Scanner available, or has it been phased out?
  11. Since you own the CE... does the CE vendor still have the gold efficiency scanner available?
  12. Quick question, is the Gold Efficiency Scanner still available at that CE vendor?
  13. Lol here's hoping I'm not buying a scam or a used code lol. I will probably just call the local GameStop or other game store after memorial day and see if they have one for cheaper, or email some of these ebayers and see what the deal is with their rather ambiguous listings. My main concern is to not get ripped off, I have heard of it happening a lot with ebay sellers using the code and re-shrinkwrapping the package "like new" except it no longer is. $150 is not a big deal if it's legit, but there's no way I am going to throw that kind of money at someone without getting some answers first. One idiot even posted pictures of the code sheet/booklet on his listing, without blurring out the code, then said in his listing "I don't know if the code has been used or not". Yup, I bet somebody just went and typed in that code by looking at Captain Obvious's listing pics and didn't even pay for it. Is there some special seal or some other way you can tell a legit unopened CE from one that's been tampered with? Not having seen or opened one of these things in person, I don't want to be lied to.
  14. Beyond buying the CE, what else do you need to "qualify" for access? Is qualification some inherent trait in a person's blood? And how do you determine who is merely "entitled" and who is "qualified"? Spare us the misanthropic rant against non-existent strawmen. You just happened to be in the right place at the right time, before all the scalper scams, and you had either the spare cash or a generous parent. Yes I know, SO qualified and superior!
  15. That's pretty much exactly what I meant. I think you're onto something. Nobody is saying "give me fluff items for free". My point was there should be an alternate route to earn them if you didn't have the opportunity to pick up a genuinely unopened and untampered CE in 2011. Whether through paying with cartel coins, credits at a higher price than CE players, or restricting access to subscribers or even just subscribers who have played an expansion or two and aren't just noobs starting out on Korriban or Tython for the first time. I see it this way, if you didn't buy the CE set, you can still buy a VIP wristband once you earn a million credits. If you bought the CE set you would get it automatically with the purchase, no need to grind for credits. But if you missed out you have to subscribe (for the no cap on credits feature) and grind. Doing something similar with CE vendor access would be a great idea. Maybe make it so that non-CE subs have to play ROTHC or SOR to get access, then make each item 1mil credits or 2000 cartel coins for the non-CE players. This would actually encourage people to play the game, not like what Bioware did with the Digital Deluxe gear where anyone can get instant access to the Digital Deluxe goodies with $4.99 on a a credit card, then they can just run away, get bored, and never play or buy cartel coins again.
