  1. 1. The quality of the story. It was like watching a movie. My character was just the guest star, though. 2. The lack of any quest hubs. It was just hallways and cutscenes. I wanted another Makeb. 3. The space magic in the story. It doesn't seem to fit the forceblind. 4. How overpowered I was. My shadow died once because she fell down an elevator shaft. How about some rooms with 2 golds and 2 silvers or something? 5. How bland the enemies were. How about some unique mechanics like a durasteel punch? 6. The homogenization of the companions. They're just skins now.
  2. I think the expansion was fine for $20. It was more like a large DLC, but it was priced right. I would've paid $40 or even $60 for a real expansion, though--Chapter 4, as it were.
  3. Which Star Wars solo game are you talking about? Force Unleashed?
  4. Not everyone likes to play the game the same way. And there's no offline option.
  5. I like my Watchman, but her rotation is tedious in 3.0. I feel like I have to pause the rotation to apply force melt, and I have to manage a menagerie of debuffs. My infiltration shadow seems to hit just as hard or more with half the effort.
  6. The Revan fight should've been hotfixed, in my opinion. It's the climax of the expansion. I don't care as much about meat tree or other content I can skip.
  7. This expansion may be the last bit of content that was created but left unfinished by the original SWTOR dev team. A third expansion may be even thinner than this one. I'll still pay for and play it, though.
  8. I understand how some people that aggressively upgraded their entire legacies might be angry. I bought some skill upgrades on my 12 toons before the skill cost change was announced. I consider the removal of skill upgrade costs as my "refund," though.
  9. Silver mobs hit much harder than other mobs, even golds. I've experienced it in Rishi and Yavin with geared characters. I can manage it with class tools like Awe or Force Stun, but it's noticeably different from pre-3.0 SWTOR.
  10. Yes, silvers seem overpowered or bugged lately. I treat silvers as the primary threats in an encounter. I pile on cc, interrupts, roots, etc.
  11. Unplayable today and yesterday. I can't play through Rishi proper or take my toons through the solo FPs. I expected the problem to be resolved on Saturday after, I don't know, a day.
  12. That's a lot of bother. I'd just make an unlock for cartel coins that's only available to Legacy 30+ (by that time, you've learned all you can from PVE questing anyway). You turn it on and it's on.
  13. How did you customize your character before? Did you go 1/2 immortal and 1/2 rage on a Jug?
  14. I returned to SWTOR because of 12x. I took a merc, van, and op to 55 so that I could finish all the class stories. They had been languishing in their 20s because of planetary quest fatigue. I also rolled up a new JK and JC to see the story and VO again.
  15. Shadowlands just popped. I'm at the login screen.
  16. I'll probably buy the pistol with the 500-per-month cc stipend. I find the standard pistols don't make my merc look intimidating. She looks like has a Noisy Cricket.
  17. You only need to get to level 47 for the Makeb boost, at which time your gear is irrelevant. Once you hit 55, you can strip level 53 blues from the AH to fill your shells. Then you're ready to re-gear on Oricon. You can make it quite far with crap gear if you have a killer heroic moment, huge presence, and some +endurance cartel crystals. While leveling some 12x characters, my gear was 10-20 levels behind. Stale gear just made it take longer to kill things, but it didn't affect survivability. I upgraded hilts and barrels every 5-10 levels but just took drops for everything else.
  18. I'd like to see the Czerka pistol on my 'slinger and merc'. I also like the xzibit gatling gun ("Yo dawg, I heard you like gatling guns...").
  19. I maxed out 13 comps last night. It wasn't hard, just tedious. Buy the gift affection boost legacy perks. Buy rank1 gifts to 6,000 on Fleet. Buy rank2 gifts to 7,000. Start conversations. Tailor answers to maximize affection. Throw junk gifts (from leveling crew skills) at your comp. That'll get you to 8,000-8,500 or so. Buy some rank5 blues or purples to finish up.
  20. I have 9 55s. I made 3 of them during the 12xp event, just so I could see all the class stories. I think that'll do. After seeing it all, I'd say the IA has the best story. Sentinel has the best gameplay, though.
  21. I finished my IA because of 12x. And yes, it's the best story in the game. I prefer my force users for gamplay, though.
  22. I have a different experience. My sentinel is less squishy than my other MDPS toons. She's more difficult to play, though, since I have to carefully watch her cooldowns and interrupts. I roll with Doc so there's no down time between fights. If you're having trouble with mara/sent then go read the guide on Dulfy.
  23. I leveled a trooper, BH and agent to 55 using class quests only. I was on par or slightly ahead of the leveling curve at all times. I always had the 25% experience bonus running, though.
  24. SWTOR doesn't show you (or force you to learn) how to use interrupts, manage threat, or gear properly. Consequently, PUGs are filled with noobs with gloves on their feet and helmets on backward. That's not a problem of 12xp, that's a problem of game design. I shouldn't have to read a guide on Dulfy to gear my powertech, for example. 12xp actually forces me to approach fights differently, since I'm usually undergeared until level 47. I have to use taunts, roots, interrupts, and HM to manage the fights, instead of just facerolling a rotation.
  25. There may have been a time in development when weapons were not as tightly restricted by class.
