That was what I was hoping for. Now I've gone ahead and chosen the dark option though, just a few minutes ago, because I couldn't find the answer anywhere. My Google-fu is apparently not strong enough. I hope I get some proof of whether or not I saved some virtual lives by doing this. I'll post back here if something happens. EDIT: Well, this is kinda dumb. Some time after I finished the mission, I receive an in game mail, one of those letters from NPCs. The thing is that the game sent me the wrong letter as a response for completing the mission. It's from the So that's disappointing.

Hey guys, thanks for posting. I've decided that I don't want to do this after all, because I think that I might be jumping in at the deep end here. I'm thinking it might be better to just look around on a RP server a bit, just see what's out there, before doing something like this. So uh, thanks for reading and sorry for wasting your time.

All right, I've decided to try making a character on an RP server. I've roleplayed a little bit in other MMOs before, though I never really got very into it. But now I want to try it out again, in SWTOR. Since I'm hardly a great expert on Star Wars and RP, I thought maybe it would be nice to have someone to "hold my hand" for a bit, so to speak, and I mean both IC and OOC. A player who is experienced with RP, who would roleplay with me and generally teach me how, correct my mistakes and such. Ideally, this teacher would be a Jedi, and I'd roleplay their Padawan. Yeah, I know, it's a bit of a tall order. But hey, I thought I'd post this anyway, see if anyone's interested in trying this with me. If you want me to be your "Padawan", drop a reply in this thread. (Also, we don't have to be Jedi, other concepts are OK too. I should also mention that I'd like to play with someone in or near my timezone, in other words on a European server.) Anyway, I'm off to read some RP guides and Wookieepedia articles.

I think you have a good point. My philosophy when it comes to things like this, is "whatever floats your boat". Someone wants to play a character character of the opposite gender? Fine. It is their character, their experience, and they should be in control of it. It's none of my business how someone else chooses to play a game. :| Did you even read the original post?

You know, "My Sith is a Jerk 3" is what inspired me to roll a sith inquisitor. Yup, my sorcerer is now sitting at level 31. And whaddya know, he's a jerk too!

I found it funny that "Fantasy Girl" is a human, while "Real Girl" is a green alien. Here's some screens of my characters. I might have posted some of them before in another thread. My gunslinger. My sith sorcerer. My jedi shadow. Here's my highest level character during beta weekend. I recreated him after launch. Here he is at level 10!

In game, open the game menu (Esc key) and go to preferences, then under the game tab go to social and there should be an option to show sith corruption. Though I think a better place for this thread is the New Player Help subforum, rather than the Community subforum. Even if you're not a new player, that's the best place to ask questions related to the game.
