  1. Regular Warzones = Time and space to learn and to grind... Ranked Warzones = True PVP sport. That is where you get your player vs player, since everyone in good ranked WZ have the same maxed out gear. So no need to ban PVP gear to have everybody equal. Beside, you need the 200-300 warzone experience to be able to fight at that level. Give a newcomer full PVP gear in warzones, he can still be **** on by a good player in battlemaster gear since he has no idea how to pvp.
  2. Perhaps you should start by going to school and learn to read. I'm not saying cheating is allowed (which i assumed this is what you read from my message). I'm saying people confuse weird things happening in the game with cheating. Every time i hear someone in a warzone whine about someone cheating is unfounded. They have that impression because they read somewhere that there is massive cheating in SWTOR: WHICH IS FALSE. Just yesterday in warzones i heard my teammate whine in the chat how in Huttball the enemy went through the force field and we lost the game because of that... I loss count of how many times I've seen force fields out of SYNC with their timers, as I motioned before. Then an enemy whines about a juggernaut in my team saying he cheats by charging to a random spot without a player in the map. The guy never considered he charged to a stealth... It's pathetic really. People are so bad that whining gives them comfort.
  3. Seriously these guys are annoying. There is nobody cheating. You got 16 medals because your team won the Warzone fast. You can get up to 5-6 extra medals that way... No there is no speed cheating. Some classes boost speed for themselves, their target or the whole group. No there is no damage cheating. Good gear, focus firing and good communication is responsible for that. No there is no teleportation cheating. Yes some people seem to zig zag across the map while running. It's either due to graphics or lag, nothing else. It doesn't make them faster, stronger or prettier. YES there are multiple bugs, which are not cheat. Exemples: when a force field is 2/4 done and you can go through it... Do i fell bad about it when it happens, hell no. Do i pass through it, hell yes. It's probably just the timer that is out of sync with the field. No ingame player is responsible for this. And the opposite is just as frequent. The force field is not there and yet i cannot pass. PVP in this game is of a lower level than we he were used to WOW arenas. To a newbie eye, this might look like cheating, but from a good pvper's perspective, we don't even notice it. Now please stop creating these pathetic cheating threads, so that newbies in pvp don't believe they are being cheating on instead of blaming themselves for their lack of knowledge (it is ok to not know everything when you start pvping. We were all there once)
  4. HI, i was wondering what people use for those 2 slots. Orange crafted pieces have an armor slot + Mod slot, and the War Hero has stock stats. My question is: What do high-end pvpers use and if they use a crafted version with custom stats, what armoring goes in there? From the armorings available at Mr.Robot's character builder, it stops at Advanced Rage 22, which is pretty low... thanks
  5. Hi, i have a few questions: 1- Can you pick up both Biochem and Cybertech on the same character at the same time? 2- Concerning Cybertech re-usable bombs (exemple: Wynz-Tek Experimental Shockwave Device), are they like medpacks where you simply need to have them in your inventory? Or do they have to be equipped somewhere.
  6. Am I alone to think the obvious has been left out in this thread? Basically everyone has calculated the static Power vs the old relic Power activation on that time period. But we can't just do that. Let's say you used your burst at Grass turret, killed the last enemies there and your Relics are now on Cooldown. Well then you have to cap the turret and maybe guard it. Or maybe you even died. Nonetheless, you find yourself with useless time and your new static attack power is then useless. It cannot be counted in the equation, since you are not using it. By the time you fight again, your relic might be up again or at least close to So i don't think this is even a matter of TTK at all. The way i see it, this is a good advantage to bad pvpers who cannot use activation tools properly at the expense of good players who keep their activation for the right time to do strategic moves. But based on this, TTK can either be UP or DOWN, it doesn't really matter and it's pointless to calculate it that way. We have no other options anyway. Double static power it is!
  7. See it this way to make things simple. Theres nothing that clicking does better than binding period. At the worst, its as good. Bottom line, the same player will perform better once he binds no matter what. I guess unless you only have 1 arm, thats a pickle. But still mouse with 14+ buttons and steering wheel pedals would still make it better. If you want obvious exemples: Anything related to mouse over, focus target and quick movement actions, there is not a chance in hell clicking comes close. Need a walkthrough? ok let's see how Intervene to a healer is done: Clicker: 1- Move your mouse and click the healer or the group frame 2- move back your mouse on top of Intervene 3- Click intervene Binder: 1- Move your mouse and click the healer or the group frame + spam press the Intervene button with your other hand at the same time Lol it makes me laugh to just think how a clicker plays in Huttball when he wants to 1st charge to an enemy and then intervene to an ally. Wait let's do it: Clicker: 1- Move your mouse to the wanted enemy + click the enemy 2- Move your mouse over the charge button 3- click the charge button 4- Move your mouse over the friendly and click the friendly 5- Move your mouse over the intervene button 6- Click the intervene button Binder: 1- Move your mouse to the wanted enemy + click the enemy + press spam charge with the other hand 2- Move your mouse over the friendly + click the friendly and spam press intervene with the other hand I don't know if you see what i see, but there's alot of useless mouse moving with the clicker and that is just wasted valuable time. Now just take two individuals with the same gear, same spec and same buffs. How can the guy with 6 steps (clicker) compete with the guy that does the same thing in 2 steps (binder)? YOU CANNOT. Please stop arguing about this, newbies in pvp keep clicking because they saw someone on the forum telling them clicking is good. IT'S NOT OPTIMAL, drop it and start binding. It takes a few days to get used to it and it's worth the time.
  8. To this guy and the OP and all other clickers. No clickers would beat a 2400+ rated old wow arena player by clicking his abilities. This game is extremely forgiving in PVP since there is no arena type pvp. Warzones allow you to do hundreds of mistakes per game and still get away with it. I remember the days in 2300+ rated brackets where 1 single mistakes in 3v3 or 5v5 was the end of the game. Now you think you can go around backpedalling and clicking against people like this? It does'nt work that way. You lose 50% of your awareness just to look at your toolbar to click the right box. How can you look at what your opponent is doing while you look at your toolbar? Here are things you MUST see when you pvp and which about 95% of pvpers don't even look for: How much energy, mana, rage does the ennemy have? = Predict burst phase = Better usage of your Colldowns How is the opponent's mobility? Bad = clicker, Good = Binder : Use your extra mobility vs his weak mobility. Get behind him. What cooldowns does the ennemy have left? what has he used so far? Check your surrounding for allies or ennemies (Healers), LOS with pillars to block help from his allies If target is guarding or is being guarded, separate him from his target to nullify the guarding effect = isolate him How is your target's resolve bar? Has he been recently CCed, should you use your CCs? I'm going to stop here, but there are many more things to look at. And I'm sorry but clicking won't allow you to know half of that. Take it as you want, but you will ALWAYS be a better player compared to yourself by binding. Trust me I've been there aswell in WOW a long time ago. Here is my setup and see for yourself how optimal my stuff is: Mouse: WOW cataclysm mouse 14 buttons. Some buttons have 2-3 combined functions (macros from the wow cataclysm mouse program) Keyboard: I use the full numpad. I prefer the way and the size of the keys. I have a total of 28 key binded without needing to move my hand at all. Some people even use steering wheels pedals to bind 3-4 more keys! If you want my suggestions: Buy a mouse with over 12 buttons that's comfortable in your hand (I prefer the wow cataclysm rat size mouse and the diversified button shape) if you have 100$. It will double your efficiency with a single purchase.
  9. My left hand is on the keyboard numpad (i prefer the numpad key position and shape instead of ASDW) 0 and + are great for targetting and interrupts. My right had is on the wow cataclysm mouse 14 buttons and it is engineered in a perfect way. I have big hands, so that rat-type mouse is perfect. I have a total of 28 keybinds accessible perfectly without moving my hand at all. I was running glad pvp in wow and having to press Shift+ any number was not optimal. With my current setup, i am extremely mobil while being able to do all my attacks in pvp and pve instantly GOOD EQUIPMENT IS A MUST TO PLAY AT YOUR BEST.
