  1. They never are, nowadays, and probably never will be again.
  2. My subscription will end in 6 days and I'm seriously considering to not renew it. Too many bugs vs. too little new playable content, and no perspective of seing this ratio change in the near future.
  3. I wish that too, but let's be realistic, they're not even able to provide significant and decent story content for the vast majority of characters that are neither saboteurs nor double agents... I wouldn't hold my breath on this.
  4. It's part of their 10y-anniversary-year-long-celebration-concept that they are removing this much loved event.
  5. Looks like some kind of game where we must put the words back in order.
  6. I started a new scoundrel recently and just had my first encounter with Risha. Her outfit changed right after her very first cutscene. It's a pity because I like her original (red and grey, no trenchcoat) outfit and won't see her wearing it again.
  7. I've had this bug two or three times with each of my characters during the Manaan missions. Typically, it happens when you're supposed to travel to another location during a cutscene, but the game brings you back to the location you were in before the cutscene.
  8. As much as I do like decorating strongholds, I'm not in demand for a new one. I'd rather see them release new decorations, in particular furnitures, lighting and civilian NPCs. It is a shame that 7.0 only came with two new pieces of decoration dropping (if you're lucky) at the end of the new FP. It is also a shame that they cannot be sold on the GTN.
  9. BioWare is hiring. Many open positions, including specifically for SWTOR: Tweeted by Musco.
  10. Funny how they considered fixing a nonexisting bug while a zillion actual bugs have been waiting for a fix for months.
  11. I will certainly be corrected with tomorrow's patch. No of course, I was just kidding.
  12. It is a joke, right? It has to be. Remember the looooong list of bugs, some of which being game breaking?
  13. The link to the article is incorrect. Use https://www.mmorpg.com/editorials/why-do-modern-mmos-feel-so-different-than-old-school-ones-2000124945 instead.
  14. Trixxie's posts for sure. And a wow effect. There's really nothing to wow! about in 7.0.
  15. What I'm talking about is the fact that that developing loadouts and combat styles in such an intricate code was so difficult that it resulted in 7.0 being released with a 4 month delay led to hundreds of new bugs. Some are/were game breaking (remember characters being locked on the other faction fleet?). Many are still unsolved 3 months after release consumed so many resources that playable content development has been reduced to a minimum, and 7.1 is adjourned without ETA. Almost all the issues we've had with the game since the release of 7.0 have been caused by too much messing around in a code that nobody fully understands. Loadouts and combat styles may not be broken (I don't know, I haven't tried them), but they have increased the mess in the code and the amount of bugs. I guess the UI tweak probably contributed its fair share of new bugs too.
  16. I don't have this problem. Maybe try a repair?
  17. I believe that most players are indeed unhappy with 7.0, but all don't have the same grievances. I for one (and I'm not alone) don't mind the ability pruning. What makes me utterly unhappy is the amount of bugs, the resulting general decrease in QOL, and the rediculously small and lackluster playable content that came with 7.0. It was clear from the day they announced them that the dev team would not be able to achieve their ambitions without breaking the game. The code is so intricate that this whole combat styles / loadouts project was doomed to fail. Nobody asked for a new UI (certainly not specifically for the character sheet and the inventory). Now we have a hybrid UI, old style mixed with the new one, and the new style windows are worse than before: we cannot drag and zoom on our character in the character sheet; outfits auto-apply as you browse through them; wrong stat level information; inventory not closing with the escape key... Add to this a broken level sync, broken companions, augments and relics not working in synced content. I suppose end-game players are more sensitive to the ability pruning / broken cycle aspects of the game. Story/RP players like me will probably be more sensitive to the points I've just mentioned. Anyway, it is remarkable how they manage to despise almost all player categories with this update.
  18. Another issue with the new Manaan content is that there is nothing to explore on the planet. When they announced that Manaan would come back in 7.0, I expected an open, explorable planet, accessible from the previously existing zone, at least the size of Onderon or Mek-Sha. In reality what we got is mostly an instanced single-player linear story, in an area that is only accessible during completion of the quest and that bears no resemblance with the "old" Manaan area. They could have made it a FP, it would have felt exactly the same. While this design made sense for Echoes of Oblivion because it took place on a ship and in Satele's mind, it's not the case here and the whole return to Manaan excitement boils down to disappointment. Hopefully things will get better with the 7.1 dailies, if 7.1 gets ever released.
  19. From patch notes 7.0.1: Obviously this fix wasn't actually implemented and they never acknowledged it.
  20. Isn't it the case in all FP? I don't remember any FP allowing logging out and in again. This would be a significant QOL improvement.
  21. Still too many unfixed bugs in this stronghold... Taxi not there most of the time Companions not entering the rooms Main hall ceiling hooks not allowing to remove large luminaires (forcing to clear all decorations from the hall, which also clears all decorations outside) Training dummies not leaving combat Characters brought back to set arrival point at log in (instead of staying in the room they were in before log out like in other strongholds) - this one is RP-breaking and is therefore the worst for me. (please complete) Considering the mess the devs are in with the new expansion, I don't expect to see these bugs fixed any time soon. What a shame
  22. Very much this. It has been clear to me from the day they announced their ambitions for this expansion (combat styles including possibility to use combat styles from opposite faction, loadouts, revamped GUI, new gearing system, increased level cap, ability tree, rebalanced classes, new in-game economy, new level sync system, weapon in outfitter, ... in addition to new playable content) that they would be unable to deliver the expansion and correct the bugs in a reasonable time, considering their track record and their shrinking resources. History has proven me right since virtually all expansion items I've just cited were or still are bugged or not working as intended. It baffles me that EA/BW executives decided to engage in a project that was doomed to fail from day 1. This is not the developers fault. It's an unforgivable fault of the management. I can't imagine the pressure developers are under.
  23. Following correction was supposed to be implemented with patch 7.0.1 but wasn't: The outfit no longer changes when navigating through the Character Sheet. Please correct this.
  24. Didn't get my 200CC when I unlocked levels 17 and 18 yesterday. I got the 3 other rewards (the 2 free player reward and the level 17 subscriber reward), but not the 200CC. I was in my Umbara stronghold.
