Absolutely not. The casual players shouldn't care anyways as they are most likely not playing to be in a gear competition with hardcore players to begin with. My biggest issue is why punish the people who have more time to play?

They can regarding this cap. Remove the cap and let people play however they like.

I think alot of that has to do with the f2p restrictions on experience. I took a JK to 50 finishing class story on a preferred account and it was a pretty horrible experience. It's the main reason I subbed. I'm not going to put myself through that torture again.

That is a little misleading. It doesn't take much to create multiple accounts. As to the original OP. No one really has a clue outside of BW/EA. Why worry about it? As long as the servers are jumping and you are enjoying yourself, just let it be.

There are games out there that do let you hit cap free or sub. As mentioned, Lotro. Hell, as a sub with DCUO you have access to the DLC packs. This is what I compare Makeb with the only difference being the level cap raised to 55. It's just bad form and a slap in the face to subscribers in my opinion.

Speaking of which. They will be releasing their first expansion for free next month.

It's isn't about the gear with me. It's more about the content. Instead of actually making unique fp's for level 55 players, they take existing content and screw people who haven't bought or will not buy the expansion. To me, it's looking like a subscription isn't worth it when you still have to shell out for the extras even if you are a sub. It's not about the money either, it's just the fact that I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth even with a sub. I'll continue playing and re-evaluate if I'm staying or going when the time comes, not that it matters to anyone here, including bioware/ea. Rant over.

Yeah, I read the patch notes and one thing is certainly clear. Buy the expansion or quit because it looks like they are taking away from the pre-hutt expansion game to add to the hutt expansion game. It pretty much reeks of lazy development, but it is what it is.

I was excited to hear about the Achievement System at first. This update just killed my enthusiasm. I hate grinding and even more so, I hate grinding for very little payoff. There is nothing worth grinding out these achievements for me since I'm not a title chaser and the small amount of Cartel Coins you can earn this way would equal up to what, a couple cartel packs and that is if you hoard what you get and do all of those particular achievements. Disappointing, but have fun to the people who do enjoy these types of things.
