  1. y wud i learn propr spellin dis is the net lol It comes down to 2 types of people online: 1. Non native english speakers or people with some medical issues. 2. Stupid people
  2. This is true. Gamers will only accept nothing less than a perfect game. A 10/10 on all sites. If its less than that, then its thrown out the window as trash. Gamers are the worst at expectations And honestly, I don't get why SWG is praised as better than sliced bread. Sure, a few things were done better, but it was a buggy mess and really wasn't that great. I realize that's my opinion though.
  3. To be fair, the FF MMO was so bad that it had to be re-worked, and honestly as much people love to cry and complain on these forums, SWTOR was never as bad as the FF MMO was at launch. And really, just no. This game doesn't need a re-work FF style. This game has issues that can be reworked over-time while the game is running. Will those bugs and optimization actually be fixed though? Eh. That's up to your opinion. But its not like FF.
  4. I agree with some people when I say that you don't speak for the majority OP, so don't claim to. I for one like the space missions. Its a little side game and I was always a fan of those arcade style shooters. I don't do them all the time, but when I have a short time to play or just feel like, I go do the space missions. Would I like to see them expanded? Hell yeah! The SSSP is something I cannot wait for! And I would love to see more mini games added to the game, but until then I'm not gonna cry and complain about it.
  5. I never tried it, but I always wanted to. But I kept hearing how horrible it was and the only good thing was the RvR and really, that's not that interesting to me so I just never got around to it. It sucks seeing a game shut down, and if you read the article they mention all the work they had in development or at least on the drawing board and it never got out or they never got the chance. Kind of like SWTOR's "Wall of Crazy" and as we know, a lot of things on the Wall of Crazy we won't see for a long time, if at all.. It sucks. But that's the cycle of gaming. Games come and go. Some are lucky enough to live forever, but not all.
  6. What everyone has said is right, but I'll still add mine. For one, its EA. Most gamers HATE EA and anything with an EA sticker is instantly hated on. EA is the big bad company of gaming and known for being a cash hog. Also, the launch was bad. Too many servers, bugs out the wazoo, and a lot of player feedback was ignored or just didn't have any impact. Also, not much to do at endgame, so people got bored and left. And the biggest one of all is just reputation of the game. Gamers especially don't forget games at the start, and since launch sucked, most people won't touch the game again. They hate on it all the time because they had a bad experience with it. Its very hard for a game to get over its bad reputation. Is the game bad now? Hell no. Its a good game now, and lots of fun, but because of a really bad launch it probably won't overcome its horrible reputation until years later, if it does at all.
  7. MMO villians can last longer than usual. That's the point of MMOs...the story keeps going and going....
  8. I never bother with the PTS. I play the game regularly, I just don't care for the PTS. It's not live, and from what I tell, BW ignores or doesn't have time to sort out most of the stuff that gets reported by players. So I just wait until its live.
  9. Yeah. Because Bioware is so evil they FORCE you to play their game...forever! Some people are ridiculous in how they think.
  10. Never heard of you. Just another gamer. As for your post, we got bigger problems and the community wants plenty other more important things than ways to measure your epeen.
  11. Just when I was ready to call it quits on this game FOR GOOD...they release this. Assuming someone didn't shop this together to mess with everyone, I'm now very excited.
  12. Never really liked FF...but I checked it out anyway and its incredibly boring to me. I'm sure it will retain its loyal FF fans, but I don't see it rocketing to the charts anytime soon.
  13. I just wanted to quote this because its true. Things were very different in that way, but people cried and complained so BW changed it. Now people are crying for it back. Some people are never happy As for OP, stop playing MMOs. They aren't you're thing.
  14. Hell, I'll sign this (/signed) I love the class stories. Its what makes this game unique in the market, and now they wanna take it out? If they do, I seriously wanna see what else they have planned then. If its not going to be class stories, then what are you developing?
  15. This. Seriously. Years went into the class story from level 1-50 and they want Bioware to spit one out like nothing. I'm all for continuing the story after level 55, but 1-50 with a whole new class? I'd rather see the game updated with expansions or even the SSSP. Not to say those don't take a lot of time, effort and money too, but would you rather have new planets and content or level through 1-50 again? No thanks.
  16. You say its "too big to ignore" but that's mostly likely what they'll do. I used to be a fan of this game, but then they pull this. I don't know what's going on over at those bioware offices, but I don't like it.
  17. ^ This. Don't get me wrong. I love this game. But the OP basically said he just wants a dye.
  18. It was mentioned by multiple people that someone data mined Yavin IV as a new planet with an actual class story continuation. But all they had was a few lines of convo for the consular and that was it. Its a long way from being released. That's really all we have on new class stories. Who knows if it even works out.
  19. Ehhh, this community has come a very long way from what it used to be. Before, you couldn't post about ANYTHING without a horde of haterade drinkers flooding the thread. Now, its much better. Also, in-game is not so bad. I'm on Harbinger and chat can be silly at times but it never gets as bad as WoWs chat or WoWs forums. (since everyone loves to compare to WoW, I might as well too) The community forum, however, should be purged with fire. My god, I've never read so much whining, complaining and hate. But they all still stick around and pay a sub, so they can cry all they want as far as I'm concerned. Its their money that is going into it. I'm critical of this game too, and I walked away from it for a long time, but I think with more work on Biowares part, the game could carve itself a little spot in the MMO community. Still a ways to go though, and I'll stick around for it.
  20. I just wanted to share too. I love this game. Its the only game I subscribe to right now. I love star wars. I love lightsabers. Its a great game to me. My problem is, I have a Jedi Knight and a Trooper, and I switch constantly between them that it takes me FOREVER to level up. I just can't pick one to stick with. By the time I get to max level, 4 new patches will have come out Thanks SWTOR. You had a rough start, but you're getting back on your feet and some of us love you for it.
  21. Everyone talks about how they want this game and other MMOs to not be "WoW clones" but they don't realize that takes money, and time, and a higher chance that it will fail. You go out and try to invent something brand new and tell me how easy it is. I have no doubt someone one day will do it, but with the way the market is, its just easier to copy and tweak it a little. For all the games faults, this is still one of the best MMOs out right now. I'm not saying its perfect or without fault, and I have my own problems with this game, but its still a good game. Gamers just drink a lot of Haterade.
  22. Everyone, learn the rules of MMO chat. RP server? The chat rarely goes bad and people are generally nice. PvE server? Its a mix. A little worse than a RP server but not as bad. Still good. PvP server? Its bad. You get all the trolls and your chat will be bad about 90% of the time. Why is this? Nobody knows. My theory is PvP attracts trolls and bad people. Just the ways of MMOs. On a side note, I've seen imp chat is worse in this game than republic side no matter what server you're on.
  23. I don't believe all the hyper that FFARR is getting. Every MMO I've played...EVERY MMO...gets great hype when in beta and before it releases. Guild Wars 2 got great hype in beta. SWTOR got good hype in beta. Then as time goes on, people move on or spend more time with the "best MMO ever" and then it goes sour. I'll see how the game is months after its released. In the mean time, everyone in beta is gonna say its the best thing since buttered bread just because its a new game. As for the F2P vs sub thing, I think it comes down to the company that runs it. Either can be better than the other, the only problem is F2P has a stigma on it that if it's free then it has to suck, because no one gives away great things for free. And sub is a "cash grab" and it always will "eventually go F2P" For example, ESO has a sub now, and a good majority of people are screaming it will go F2P because of the sub. Just how it works these days.
  24. To be fair, just cause its not in one store, doesn't mean its not in the other one across town. My local Walmart doesn't have any SWTOR items, but the Target store just up the hill from it has SWTOR boxes, game time cards, and last time I was there, there was even a card or two. And everytime I go, they are fully stocked. And to add, BioWare doesn't really control this stuff. Its all marketing teams. So really, the guy who designs new planets really has no say over what Walmart sells at their store. I just wanna throw that out there because a lot of people seem to not realize that.
  25. This is true, and it happened with WoW as well and people complained out the butt about that too. You had DPS wearing tank gear, Healers wearing DPS gear, DPS wearing healer gear...and you know why? They wanted to up their gear level so they can run the high level stuff. Then people started crying about it when it was exactly what they wanted in the first place! I haven't seen a system in place in any game that works perfectly with the gear requirements. If you know one, please tell me. Point is, its never going to work until someone completely reinvents how people play MMOs. If you want them to put a gear check in, that's fine, but be prepared to cry when someone messes that up too.
