  1. Ya, I have always wondered why there are not CSR people in chat. They sit and click ban or research an account to find source of the spam. Maybe keep some of the non bot spammers in check. 10 ppl being paid min wage to do this? smaller games do it. I think STWOR has became big enough for in game GMs.
  2. I buy packs, CM items, and crates off GTN. let some other moron pay real money. I will pay my sub fee. If they do this again, it wont bother me. All I will lose is pixel money
  3. Oh, they will. Trust me. I didn't get much time to exploit it. And hey, lets just call it that shall we? It was giving more than it should despite the "working as intended". And those that chose to farm the hell out of it( much like Ravagers) are gonna win big in the long run. And this has become a pattern. I like to wait on new items or content so the hype dies down and things are easier/ cheapier and I can swoop in on prices when they fall (or do a run so people have had time to not derp out) So waiting has become a good way for me to save time and credits.. But this whole situation is forcing me to be one of those idiots that swoops up on something when it comes out.. Remember everyone. If it is "working as intended:" and they are "looking into it"...exploit the hell out of it.
  4. ^THIS. This is what I mean. I have a casino in my stronghold and have 2 of them. Loved when sots were OP and now they suck. But they still fit in great with my other casino stuff so I don't feel too bad about getting them off gtn.
  5. ya, the nerfing of the slots did suck. I see it as what they did to seeker droids. Both were fun to me, but the powers decided " NO FUN SHALL BE HAD!" then began beating it with a nerf bat. But my stronghold has a casino. Casinos need slots. I have 2 at the moment. But if they release different styles or colors I will more than likely get them too. what can I say...I am a decoration whore..
  6. Same. I have maxed out my companions, send out the +crit companion on Rich, and send rest of companions out on TH missions too. Just the material ones, not the lockboxes ones. Have 3 maxed toons doing this each day. When they are done, I send em out again. so that is about (sometimes there are not 6 material missions) 18 missions every hour or so. And since 3.0 I am sitting on 34 crystals. And tbh, most of those came from the misson discovery missions. Getting top end mats was never this bad, I would not say it is broke since I do get mats...but I agree with OP, something isn't right. Have the same issue with grade 11 tech parts...however, I have about 56 of those so maybe it is a LITTLE better than UT/TH..
  7. Someone slap the OP .... Now the jerk offs that like swinging their nerf bat will see this and think its a great idea. I lost seeker droids to QQers, and gsf, and space missions, and now slots...when are people just gonna shut the heck up. When something good comes along just shut up about it so we can have nice things... But then someone has to open their trap...
  8. Not a crafter...well, for my alts and myself, not for others... And capping the gtn? if that would happen, chat would be flooded with WTS ( which I don't mind WTS spam, but only on top end stuff.). And I don't need to see some kid spamming over and over about WTS his cool cunning autocannon... A cap would not control prices. prices would still be high, they would just be in chat rather than in a gtn window.
  9. When was the last time the did an increase after a hard nerf? There is your answer OP. We just got to move on from it. Just another now useless mini game like seeker droids and space combat (the solo stuff). meh, time to move on, I guess.
  10. I sell mine for credits. Unless I still need the rep , but even then I sell the green ones. making them tradable is not the best idea, I think vendoring unusable ones is just fine.
  11. I was meaning buying for your own use. Buying new items to sell them early is smart. People always want the new stuff. As sellers, selling fast is key. But if you are buying an item for your own use...wait a bit. As for making credits, I have always sold the lower rep items and used the higher ones. And mats I guess could be sold well, but I use em like crazy still..
  12. When the Seeker Droid first came out, it was fun. Players were making a ton for credits, finding mats and rep tokens. It was fun... Just like the slot machines. And right away I say a "mini game" that was fun, gave a ton of tokens and rep items and things that could make a ton of credits. I knew it would get nerfed to something that was not even worth doing anymore. I do feel sorry for you all that did invest in those machines and now have little more than a clickable decoration. But what did you expect? It was fun and we were making a ton. Next time they release an item like this, remember to wait before buying one for a patch or 2...to see if they will nerf the newest items. I will still buy one though...I have a casino room that it would look great in..
  13. I act this way in real life. However, there is no way to prove it. But assuming you can.. When I order pizza from the place downtown, I am clear about what I want. And after some time delivering to me, they know that if they want a tip, it needs to be here in under 35min. And the size of the tip depends on quality. Now, one night they got here on time, but forgot the drinks and the pizza was burnt ( and a burnt stuffed crust no one likes) they got 2 bucks and I called and complained about the quality of the food. However, when they do a perfect job (has happened more lately. Maybe a new employee?) I call and the dude usually gets 5 bucks...maybe more depending on my order. So like in forums, I do in real life...point out the bad and expect a change (that is reasonable) and point out the good. I don't always talk a ton like in forums, but when I need to, I talk...a lot.
  14. I haven't really used a parse program. But since I have started more serious HM ops and am a healer, it would be nice to know how effective I am being. I don't want to be one of "those guys" in fleet smelling their own farts (south park reference) but after watching the starparse youtube vid, I can see the usefulness of it.
  15. You do realize that a f2p player can get unlocks using credits...right? And lets be honest, in most f2p games, the main goal is to get money out of you buy subbing or buying stuff. I mean, how else would they make money and lure in new players? The anger over f2p restrictions is dumb. When you are f2p, you are supposed to want more. You are supposed to want the shiny and get all the credits and play all the content. If f2p had less restrictions, what would be the point of subbing?
  16. I do use gtn to sell most things and use guild or groupfinder. But when I have a high priced item (over a mil) I post in chat. Like if the lowest in gtn is 2 mil I will post it in gtn for 1.9 and post in fleet for 1.5mil. or sometimes I will post in genchat but not put it in gtn because I want full price for an item and would rather not pay the gtn "fee" And as for grouping, I use chat to find pug groups on days when my guild doesn't run. Helps boost my comm income. I totally hate the spam and the.."special"... people in chat. but a few clicks of ignore and chat looks more normal. But to totally isolate from gen chat, sounds like a bad move.
  17. I usually make about 2-3mil every few days. However, I have not ( and most likely will not) get the 10mil achieve. Mainly, because I buy hypercrates, mats and augment my gear(I change my armor a ton because I am always changing my mind on how my toon should look) Most people I have played with or have been in guild have NO ISSUE dropping down a mil or so. I mean doing CZ weekly alone gives one of my toons(have 9 lvl 60s) about 150k-200k depending on drops and such. As for an average, a player could have around 2 mil(across 1 server). But that is just a guess with how easy credits can be made and my interaction with other players.
  18. I would turn off fleet gen chat, but actual players use it for ops, and buying and selling stuff. So the advice to turn off fleet chat hinders the player rather than the spammers. Maybe someone is selling that armor set you wanted but couldn't find, and they are selling it for dirt cheap? but that's too bad...you turned off chat and now someone else got it.
  19. It is a Hard Mode for a reason. even mobs require (sometimes. depends on the group) a CC and groups that know the flashpoint and know how to play their toons. I have managed to successfully tank, heal and dps all the hard modes. so it can be done if you slow down and think fights through. I love how they made this new stuff so that you cant just face roll through it..that some level of thought and gear is actually important..
  20. So if I do ops...I am not enjoying or being immersed in the story? ok... I thought I was really into exploring planets and rock climbing with guildies, as well as soloing flashpoints at higher levels so it was more "realistic", and collecting stuff for my stronghold, etc. But I guess me doing ops negated all that..
  21. I rush for a few reasons. I rush through stuff I have already done once. I want to get all companions so I can max out crafting by being able to farm any planet while having all companions crafting while I farm. It adds "realism" to fights at max level. What I mean is when I hit max level, I can go back and do planet missions and stuff I skipped so a slash of my saber kills a guy in one slash rather than it more like a nerf sword fight. And I skip stuff so I have PLENTY to do while in that DPS queue. I don't usually hunt datacrons and use sites for em and such, so I stumble across them while goofing off on skipped content that I come back to. I guess the bottom line is I rush FOR the story and side quests...not to avoid them.
  22. My biggest issue is the lack of response from people in the forums. We always get the" looking into it" post... but this? This is the kind of posts I love to see! I myself have got framerate issues, but it never truly bugs me unless I am on fleet. I hope things get figured out. And keep up posts like this.
  23. Sometimes I suspect that the spammers are BW/EA employees. And those sites are just a cover so they can ban people that use those sites... I just ignore them and clear my list once a week. They use disposable accounts so it they get banned they just have 15 back up accounts..
  24. For me, the good out-weighs the bad. I mean...this is freaking star wars! And it changes. As soon as I feel like I am getting into a routine, they change things and its new all over. But yet, I still complain. I guess it is because...it is star wars. And I have this great idea of star wars being a perfect story. And I can sometimes see what this game and its creators could do, and I look at new patches and expansions and catch myself thinking.."Wow. This is great! And it feels new again..but cant it be more?" And maybe someday it will. Maybe it wont. Guess you can call me a fan boy...or overly hopeful. But I play because I know how good this game IS..and CAN BE.
