  1. Well, i don't really think healers are at a disadvantage in any way in a well performing team situation. The problem lies in a lack of cordination in pugs. Healers are squishy, and they can cause a lot of problems for the other team, as such you're a prime target to be focused. I always save my CD's for healers or objectives. Healers do die when people pile you and pop CD's, but they should!
  2. Hmm, couldn't find that menu, i did however find a list that had my old custom UI on it, which was exactly what i wanted! Thank you!
  3. So, i played the game for a while at launch and my friends had to quit... subsequently, i stopped playing as well. Well, we decided to come back and i can't seem to figure out how to put my extra action bars back on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Here is a World of Warcraft key binding video. i know this isn't world of warcraft. but as far as action bars and ability usage is concerned, they are virtually the same game. I'd check this out! EDIT: just in case you don't know some of the terminology .. DPS = Damage Per Second or "damage dealer" role Globals / Global CD / Global Cool down = the short cool down between spell casts. Nearly all abilities have Global CD's Also, once you hear him start talking about "blood lust" you can end the video. everything past that point is specific to WoW..
  5. after reading the title i was expecting some "give me free stuff i dont wanna work for it" complaint. But i have to say, i completely agree!
  6. You either spend 30 minutes looking for a group, or you're like me and spend 30 minutes in a queue to log in. it sucks. I agree with the OP. I'd love to see them expand the capacity of the servers and lower the number of servers they do have, This would allow them to be more populated. Higher population servers are always better for everyone. the only exception to this is for people who have lower end systems.
  7. Howdy, im a guild master myself, have been in several MMO's over the years! Running a successful guild requires a bit of planning and a lot of work. But it's really rewarding once you get up on your feet. 1. Dedication - Making a strong guild doesn't happen over night.. You're going to have a lot of work ahead of you and you have to be willing to cut down your play time to enhance the play time of others initially. 2. Good Structure. - -Choose your officers carefully. - Do not pick them based on your relationship with them. promote players who you see as patient, helpful, friendly, and mature. Many GM's will promote their best friends and girl friends etc etc and they turn out to be rotton officers. - Avoid making people officers that ask for it. 3. Communication - - Let people know your expectation - Let people know what they can expect from you or your guild. - hold a guild meeting where EVERYONE can contribute. Let them vent, make suggestions, or just give some input. Let people know where your guild stands in its policies and goals. Do this often, at least once a month. - Talk to new members. make sure you personally chat with each new member in your guild. Then, do a follow up with them the next week. Ask them how they are doing, ask them what they like, dont like, etc etc. -initiate conversation with people, invite them into your vent/mumble or your guild forums. Do this VERY frequently. Get people talking to each other. It makes the game much more enjoyable when you all become friends instead of just guild mates. 4. Hold people accountable! - Once you have COMMUNICATED your expectations to all guild members it is important to CONSISTENTLY apply your decisions to those expectations. What i mean by this, is if you have someone that didnt show up for a ops group after accepting an invite and you have a policy to sit them out the next week. Do it! do not bend the rules for anyone. Not your worst enemy, not some average joe, not your girl friend, your wife, nothing. Consistently hold people accountable. 5. Get rid of bad apples. work to address problems, but if problems keep happening with one member, don't be afraid to ask them to leave.don't risk losing good players because you're afraid to get rid of a bad one. - People that are constantly starting verbal arguements - People who constantly no-show or show up late. - People who show little or sub par effort in guild activities where others depend on their performance. - People who are constantly "victims" Yes, thats right. Sometimes someone gets into a guild that is constantly offended and harassed. do not be afraid to suggest that this may not be the right guild for them. 6. Be realistic! Don't expect to have 100 members next week, building a solid guild takes time and you have to build it right or it falls apart later. also don't expect to be the very best at PvP, PvE, or anything when you start. Team work doesnt happen over night. It takes a lot of time.
  8. In warzones, does absorption effects such as static barrier count towards healing?
  9. You can mail any unbound items to your other characters instantly via mail. To do this, just go to a mail box and click it. Click the "compose" tab and drag the item(s) you wish to send to your alt into the provided slots. Enter the character name you wish to send it to and attach any money you want to send with it and hit send. It will instantly be in the mail box of your alt. Just log over and find a mail box to redeem your goods!
  10. These two post above me are actually incorrect, you can do dailies prior to being level 50. Generally 45+ is when they start opening up, the further you progress in your class story, the more will become available to you. There are some that are exclusive to level 50. Such as Heroic Flashpoint dailies. There is a space mission unlocked at level 48 regardless of your class mission standing that awards a couple badges.
  11. Generally General chat in the main social hub is the best place to go. Also, as a level 20, i'd highly recommend you take a look at your server population. Generally speaking, higher population servers are much much much more enjoyable in terms of multiplayer activities. If you're on a low population server, consider making a new character on a higher population server before you invest too much time into a lower population one. Alternatively, you could always look for an active guild that has some lower levels. Generally you can make some friends that are near your level and you can frequently run flashpoints together.
  12. for the most part, Modifiable gear is all the same. The only difference is the skins/contents. there are a few exceptions to this. Augmented items and items with set bonuses are slightly better.
  13. Hello everyone. I'm sure you've all played some Warzones and noticed that the second your team starts falling behind it's very common to see people just leave the Warzone or just go sit on an objective and get defender medals with no intention of helping A few things could be implemented to fix this. 1. Creating a temporary reque block for players who leave a war zone before it begins. something small, like 10 minutes or so. 2. Create a buff for the team losing a match in unrated play. for example if the enemy team is up 3 points in huttball. give players a 2-5% damage/healing/health buff per point difference. This will enable "come-backs" to occur and help compensate for gear/organization deficiencies that frequently occur. I definitively understand not everyone is going to agree with those suggestions and they may be problematic to some. so feel free to comment on them. But please do so constructively. Thanks!
  14. You get these from bosses in Hard Modes, World bosses, Ops groups. etc etc.
  15. I just got done leveling on Korriban. i did all the missions i come across with the exception of a Heroic 2+ mission. My class mission is leading me to Kaas City in Dromund Kass. I'm level 10 and i went to the imperial fleet to the advanced class trainer, but i dont have a mission to speak with him and im unable to initiate a dialog with him.
  16. I play on The Fatman imperial. It's the highest pop server out there. so naturally the economy is pretty awesome.
  17. If it makes you feel better, you get paid. Every time you get infected and blow up you get 5 DNA samples. They sell for 10-30k ea on my server
  18. This is not true. Ive made several lightsabers with my artifice and tailored them with artifact quality mods for friends and then given it to them. This was always done with BoE mods though.
  19. 1. They do cost something. check the vendor. i guarantee you it doesn't say free. 2. The term unique has a VERY important place in this conversation. It is unique. If everyone had one, it would still be unique as long as thats the only black/green crystal model. 3. You paid for the computer hardware. Not the crystals. The crystals were an extra perk and you did get them for free. You were given everything you were promised.
  20. Unique and Exclusive have two VERY different meanings. They said unique, not exclusive. Secondly, it was exclusive. For 4 months. It's not entirely uncommon for any business or game to do something like this. Lastly. Its a dang color crystal man. WHY is this such a tremendous big deal to you? You were paying for the headset or whatever it is you bought. Not the color crystal thats a nice little bonus yeah, but goodness man.
  21. Well, im trying to make something for a friend. He just started playing this week and im trying to make him a really nice lightsaber.
  22. I'm a fresh level 50, trying to make a nice level 11 lightsaber for a guildie. The border of the Lightsaber is orange. The boarder of the stuff im trying to put into it is purple. And yes, i was able to pull a mod out. (then i had to buy another one, since that bound it to me. )
  23. If i use a Bind on Pick up or "Bound" Modification, hilt, crystal etc etc on a Bind on Equip item, will it bind it to me?
  24. I have an item called [stygian Battlemind's Lightsaber] from a lock box from treasure hunting. The text is orange so im assuming its modifiable. It currently has Resolve Hilt 3 (Blue quality), Orange fortitude crystal (blue quality) and fortitude enhancement (blue quality) Im trying to replace them with my items i crafted with artifice. I have Advanced Resolve hilt 3 (artifact quality) Advanced Yellow Critical Crystal (artifact quality) and Advanced Fortitude enhancement (artifact quality) all the 3 items im trying to put in have a level 11 requirement to use, the same as the blue quality mods already in the lightsaber. However when i put them in and hit "Apply" nothing happens. No message pops up saying that there is something wrong, the changes dont happen. Literally nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong?
