Not that im disagreeing or agreeing with you. But you're not going to get anything accomplished or resolved with posts like this. I mean lets be honest. PvP forums are where alll the players with ego's larger then life come to declare how bad that player is and how his/her class is balanced or needs a buff. The mindset of so many PvP'ers is If you beat me, your OP. If i beat you, it was balanced / you suck. And they will ignore any information otherwise. It's all buff me, nerf them and there is absolutely no convincing them otherwise. I mean lets be honest, if Rock Paper Scissors was an MMO, PvPers would be on the forum complaining it was unbalanced.

Then players would be forced to change their legacy names/player names. which may not be all that big of a deal to some people. But for people that are happy where they are at. it's a HUGE problem. Can't really do that to people. There is no easy solution other then free server xfers.

there has been quite a few videos of "speed" hacking, which really messes WZ's up, especially hutball And there is a glitch where you can get up to 12 people on your team in a WZ. 8v12 obviously makes it unfair.

I think its the latter of the two, did a game of huttball and the voice acting for the victory speech went twice and i had 3/9 warzones won when i only did 2.

I hit 50 last night, and im working on PvP so i picked up the PvP missions. [Weekly] Blacken the Ice - Deafeat Enemies/Collect Armaments/Play Warzones 0/150 [Daily] Cutting the Cord - Deafeat Enemies/Collect Armaments/Play Warzones 0/30 did a few Warzones and my weekly is at 9/150 and now my daily is at 6/30. Shouldnt they both be progressing evenly since they both have the same requirements?

ah, thats excellent news. I was going through the math on how many WZ's i'd have to do for even the low ends sets and i started to get a headache just thinking about playing that much. So i suppose the best action to take would to be cap at 1k WZ commendations and spend 70-100 on Merc badges before each match so i can sustain 1k for when the patch hits with out over spending.

And for anyone wanting to know - It looks like world PvP doesnt award these at all in the Tatooine free for all area. I ran into a 50 republic player who appeared to be searching for the chests as well, i was able to kill her and i didn't get any commendations for it.

Ah cool, you can get merc comms from missions? do i pick these up from the daily vendor? from what ive been reading i can only get them from chests and from comm trading. doing a few missions wouldn't be so bad.

A fundamental disarrangement in opinion is not ignorance. If you would like to declare it's not an opinion, and fact, you're welcome to provide the section in the terms of service or game rules that elaborates on "kill trading" as you call it, being an exploit. On that note, While we're shirring definitions. New player help (I'm going to make my own definition up!) Where new players come to get help. You appear to be neither new (based on your join date) and your post about defining ignorance appears to be not only rude. but unhelpful as well. And i would greatly appreciate it if you didn't have anything constructive and polite to add, that you stop posting on this so i can actually get the answer i'm looking for rather then going off on silly tangents about what you think ignorance means.

Ah, well, i'm on a PvP server. World PvP is not a Warzone where everything equally matches. You can call it PvP or farming, whatever you want. but that would in no way be an exploit. By that logic, a level 50 running a level 11 through black talon would be an exploit. Because thats totally undoable for a level 11 on his own! i mean thats cheating right! thats simply not the case. If it makes you feel better i can rephrase. ahem, If my level 50 friend, who is ]equally geared and skilled, engaged in some PvP in tatooine, would whoever won the fight be awarded merc coms? On a side note, this forum is new player help. If you can't come in here with out calling people ignorant because they have a difference of opinion or asking a question, perhaps try to the PvP or general forum.

why would this in any way be an exploit? you PvP against some people and you get some badges. thats the whole point...

so i just hit 50 a few moments ago, had a 50 bag in my bank and enough to buy 5 more pvp bags. so all ina ll got 6 bags. Bought my Cent pants/chest and im saving up for more. Was wondering if i had a few of my buddies go to tatooine and go to the PvP zone there, if i would get credit. They would be lower levels. like 10-30. Would i get any badges for killing them?

I'm a marauder, and i really like having a good healer for solo'ing, but i cant seem to find my droid in my codex. what gear does he use?

Then how would you like it to be launched? Some severs have such low pops that this is the only they'll ever group. seriously, PvP'ers are the rotten apples of every MMO community. They all think they are gods gift to the game, they think they are entitled to everything, and all they do is complain about content. i swear to god, if rock paper scissors was an MMO. you'd find a way to complain about it being unbalanced.

Yeah, was just wondering where i should go from here, suppose the only thing left is to just buy PvP boxes and stock up on exp/health packs so i dont have to spend any creds or badges once i do hit 50

I'm wondering what the best route would be for me to take, i'm level 43 at the moment and i have all my level 40 gear from the PvP vendors, ive purchased a bag for when i hit 50, and im capped at 1k WZ badges and 1k Merc badges. currently capped at 43 valor and i expect to be 50 valor when i hit 50. with that in mind, what gear set should i be looking to buy at 50? i'll be PvP'ing mostly all the way up till i get to 50, so ill def be racking up some currency.

First step would be to update what you can on your gear with the tools you have. If worse comes to worse you can just grab some mid lgrade PvE gear. You're nto going to do well in Toe to Toe battles in PvP for awhile, but you can still help. try to kite enemy players away from objectives and go for the "ninja" approach in getting things. Avoid conflicts as much as possible until you're adequately geared to at least do some damage if you get into a skirmish.

Star wars def seems to be slower pace to me, i'm not the greatest PvPer (only got to arouns 1900 rating in world of warcraft) but i seem to be able to do fairly well in PvP situations in this game. This may be due in part to many players not fully understanding and mastering their classes yet, but thus far the rate at which you go from full health to zero seems to be a lot slower in this game giving you much more time to think things outs.

Oh yeah im not worried about it. Like i said i'm not complaining that they are OP or anything. i know they're beatable. It's simply a flaw in my play style and strategy. But i think ive been able to figure it out with all the feedback from these players. I did a few more WZ's tonight and ive been doing much better.

This thread was made for a constructive and intelligent discussion about players' strategies against Vanguards and that was clearly outlined prior to the thread contents. So please, while i know you are gods gift to the PvP community, take a few moments to step away from the game and refresh your memory on how to read (since it looks like you didn't quite comprehend the first paragraph of this thread) and try to remember kindergarten when they explained to you why it's important to be respectful and polite. It's painfully obvious that you forgot that.

Well yeah, but against a marauder you def keep your distance. they may be most effective in melee range, but low damage at a longer distance is def more then a marauder will do, better to be doing a little bit of damage and taking no damage then to be taking and dealing high damage.

Yeah, it seems like they wail on me and get me down to like half health and then i start to make a come back but its too little too late in most circumstances.
