  1. just play the game, use several characters and do all the dailies and weeklies until your eyes bleed. Especially PVP and GSF - and do tons of dailies and weeklies on Onderon and Mek-sha. and get your characters or alts into top-10 conquest guilds, and make your 50K target on every one of them. - TBH even an hour or two a day is more than enough to get 3-4 chars to BiS by now. - Maybe not exactly nuanced, but with boosts and tons of credits, it's all do-able. remember, even though it was basically a soft reset on gear, some people had boosts and credits and other stuff stockpiled to ease them into 306 as fast as possible. Then they milked it every which way to gear up fast.
  2. I've been doing it since I had 2 to swap. Surely that's the point. Need a few % more defense or DPS or heals? swap 'em out. IIRC you can't switch while in combat, so it's more in respawn or if you get a lull in the fight. Seems legitimate. - Since you can also choose any ability off the bar to trigger as and when you wish, swap out relics and stims and such as well, why not tacticals? US football teams have varying setups for offense and defense ( for instance) so it seems not a great stretch to also do it in PVP.
  3. You can get to 50 or so in a few evenings/ hours play. Buy xp boosts and skip a whole lot....Or buy a boost token. there's not much more exciting at top level, unless you PvP a fair but, TBH
  4. Its our own fault for exploiting the system and farming 100s of millions of credits, inflating prices and abusing the game.... OR It's the devs fault for not doing quality checks on exploits and shutting them down quickly, and not keeping a lid on inflation. If we aren't a dev and didn't exploit, we're paying the price of those that are/did. I don't like that a reject doesn't put that option to the bottom of the next roll. - But programming is hard, and/or reducing the credit step each roll is hard. If you've kitted out your main, you could always spend excess Tech Frags on new mods in the hope you get something better or are rerolling at the lower end of the cost. And always save any good rolls that you can use on an alt. - No point in wasting it.
  5. Hihi. I am rationalising all my outliers in old guilds, and have decided to sell my <Federal Agents> Imp side DM guild. My IRL friends have left the game and the new recruits haven't logged in for well over 6 months. -Since there is nothing in the GB and no decos in the Guild ship, I'm going to sell the guild. Im open to all sensible offers. The best unlock for the guild is the Guild Bank, which is not usually available to small ( <5 member) guilds. So if you'd like a ship and GB for a starter or 1-man guild, in-game PM the GM Betancuria or post here. I hope to get back to you quickly, since I am levelling this character at the moment through the latest story so sould be online most days this coming week. I'll put a reserve for bids at 500K credits, to weed out any time wasters. Best bid by the weekend gets it. Cheers all.
  6. Story wasn't up to much, but then I didn't have high hopes. Planets are really nice eye-candy, but rather small. Dailies are rather tedious, especially until you find a route that does them all in one go in an efficient way. Tacticals and unmodded set-bonus gear is a bit in the expensive side in TFs - even considering as I don't mind a round or 2 of dailies per week, and try and complete the weekly GSF and PVP weeklies, and have a couple of characters in mega guilds, I still run out of TFs regularly trying to gear up. IMHO I don;t think AMPS are that much of an advantage. - Even im PVP - And considering that a lot of them are PVE/Crafting/Gathering amps on some items, you're only looking to improve on maybe half your gear for PVP. - But again, the re-roll cost does go quite high if you can't get the one you want. - I would be fine with a couple of thousand credits per re-roll - or indeed a lookup to not reroll ones you've already rejected. and whats with the foce amps for tech users ( and vice-versa) ? Crafting is cmopletely OTT - and not really worth the expense in time and credits and rare mats. - Tho' a believe they're gonna reduce costs/ ratios a bit next month. Overall though, it seemed a lot of change for change's sake, and didn't really adress the fundamentals of what is wrong with the game - Lack of resources,/a big expansion/ lots more to do/ new PVP maps/ new areas/datacrons/events/ dailies and weeklies/side quests etc.
  7. Why have a toggle if it doesn't respect the spec it's set to. I have to agree with previous posters. I have several Generators for a DPS merc. - Luckily I have lots of blaster pistols from other specs, so I can swap barrels.- And the generator mods will slot in elsewhere, although they're rarely an improvement in iRating. My main issue is that despite several characters being >303 iRating, I still get a lot of drops in the 295>298 range. I was under the impression that drops were supposed to be equal or higher, or am I mis-remembering? As an aside, despite having a healthy credit balance, IT's easy to burn through a LOT of credits, moving mods around in gear that isn't for on'es spec. - Easy to burn through over 1/2 million credits in an evening. I'm beginning to think that gearing more than 1 character ( and mirror) was a mistake. - Which makes the expansion rather short and over far to quickly.
  8. Pretty much every crate is dropping gear 1 or 2 ranks below your current iLevel. - Which doesn't even make it that attractive for alts, since you want them to be at or close to your main to benefit from the next crate they earn. ( by transferring gear via legacy) even disintegrating them for TFs is pretty piss poor at 3-4 TFs for each. Thats no more than 274 gear from Grade 10 lockbox TH missions, which you can run 24/7 on any character with TH at rank 600 (IIRC) Only 1/2 way decent are the drops from conquest and the PVP weekly. most of the rest goes into the grinder. SMH
  9. Is that it? Just a mini-pet. There should have been another expansion to go with a movie release. - A suite of planets from the film, ( (Ahch-To or Krait for instance ) a sideline story, something to give the flavour of the struggle, a PVP map a GSF scenario and tons of outfits, lots of new character races, new companions - like a BB8 unit .... and lots of juicy advertising for the game. But no. Mini pet.....nothing more. Pffft! I really think they miss a trick here..... Time and again. SMH
  10. Best solution is to have characters in several guilds. - 1 for friends and family 1 or 2 for conquest and maybe one for best. Most weeks, 50K isn't too much of a mountain to climb, and a lot of guilds don't stipulate that you have to make a certain target every week and always be available for guild activities. - A lot of large guilds are just 100s of players doing their own thing to benefit from the bigger rewards. Not saying this is right, but this is the META currently. Now that most gear and credits and mats and currencies are shareable within your legacy, having several characters in several guilds is the way to go.
  11. And remember that the set bonus gear has no items inside it - it's an empty shell. - So have a stock of armours, mods and enhancements to slot into it - or if you wanna take a bit of a punt, buy them individually at the vendor around the corner. I guess it's about whether you're getting tech fragments quickly or slowly. Tactical wil lbe an immediate boost, but it's fairly easy to get another 3K in a week if you play a couple hours a day. - Cap is 5,000 fragments ( too low IMHO) but if you buy gear and keep an eye on the refund timer, you can swap it back for fragments. In theory then you can have more than 5K TF - some in currency and some as gear. Then as your TFs in inventory drop, cash in another piece. - You can do this with other characters, and IIRC the timer stops when you log off. TBH buying and refunding gear is a good workaround, but IDK why the TF cap wan't higher to start with. Since players earned that currency by playing the game, they're not doing anything wrong are they?
  12. Make sure every piece and component is the best you can get. It's supposed to offer you something equivalent or higher, tho' several peope have reported that this isn't always the case. Even if a piece isn't optimal for your class, equipping it should boost your chances of something better. TBH you can do a lot of solo stuff in completely the wrong gear, in order to try to get better drops on your alts, so send your best set over, and be prepared to swap components in and out. Also keep an eye on the amps, if a piece of gear drops that isn't any good, it still might have an amp for a crafting character for instance. - Jsut send it over. GL
  13. Back long ago in around 4.0 I used to keep 1 each of tank, DPS and heals going on each faction, in order to jump on any with guildmates and help in any role thay were short of. But in the end, everyone left and I'm on my own. I occasionally jump to a different class and spec to stop myselff from getting completely rusty, but I think if you've been around some years you settle into a groove with a favourite character and class. If you've CCs and /or credits to burn, then tank and heal specs aren't so bad with a DPS companion at rank 10-50 in tow. - At least for most of the story content up to current date. OFC if you're familiar with the story, you can skip some aspects of it, and oce you're at level cap , story is mostly unimportant for gearing up and end-game activities. Chances are you'll be at max level before the vanilla story runs out anyways. You'l not see different story with different specs, but if you mix light and dark choices and swap genders to see the different romance options, it might help keep things a bit more interesting. GL whatever you try, OP.
  14. Yup. This. Buy the companion level up on the CM ( with complimentary coins if you have them) , sell it for 20-30M and buy cheap dark projects and level the companions up up this way. Keep the differnece of 10-20M - easy!
  15. -and since it's not worth lots of rerolls on AMPS before you have BiS gear, some people won't bother. - Not saying pure PVPers haven't got as many crdits, but something you're gonna replace soon isn't worth splashing out on. Same with tacticals. - Probably set bonus is marginally better ( depending on class and play-style) so if Fragments are in short supply, people wold proabably rather buy gear first. Shame that quickest fragment farm is MM FPs and a lot of groups want you to be BiS or close - and have stealth and be reasonably familiar with all the ins-and-outs of the FP to boot. TBH I'm expecting a nerf to MM FPs quite soon. IDK how much BW wanted to throttle gear progression, but it would seem only fair that solo /group /pvp /pve /space /story should have pretty equal weight in any aquisition. I'm not bitter, I just don't have the free time to run MM FPs over and over. 3-4K fragments a week is easy do-able in the time I have. Those that play 24/7 will inevitably have more and quicker.
  16. It was always gonna be a nightmare balancing with so many variables in the mix in 6.0 . - But I think I'm seeing more disparity than imbalance. - A lot of my fellow team-mates seem to have top gear ratings already - either through PVP non-stop or repeated FP farming. But that doesn't mean you are not capable of pulling your weight in regs. - You may have to do more guarding nodes, co-ordinating attacks and be less of a solo hero - but then that's what PVP should be -it's a TEAM game after all. Guarding nodes, calling Incs, counting enemies, using CC effectively and being in the right place at the right time is just as valuable as DPs, HPS or damage mitigation. Suprisingly, there's a lot more to PVP than just pew-pew.
  17. Because people get bored without something to grind for. And it gives the studio 6-8 nmonths of work re-jigging the gear system ( again) instead of making entertaining stuff for us to do. I mean, who'd rather re-gear all 14 slots on every max level character versus exploring new places, figting one another on new maps and having immersive and engaging adventures. - Cos after all , this is an accountancy game, not a Star wars adventure. SW is for the birds.... coz Everyone loves accountancy, no? /sarcasm.
  18. Yeah. TY I got the reroll, but how for instance can I get my CM weapons to have AMPS - Or if you want them on weapons are you restricted to equipping the ones from drops only. I think BW didn't consider this, , TBH , unless there's a trick I'm missing somewhere. Or is it just a tradeoff between cosmetic and that extra few .1%s ?
  19. I'm kinda unclear how some of these amps work. 1) I suppose they stack if you have more than one of the same type. 2) It looks like you can't transfer them to other gear items. - Such as CM weapons and such. -obvs you can use outfit designer to keep the gear and amp and stamp your own costume over the top. but what about MH and OH weapons if you wanna keep the ones you like the look of? 3) + 0.5% Legacy reward "increase Legacy points" - What does that do? 4) +.90% mission rewards. +.9% of 10 alloys for instance isn't a whole alloy.
  20. selecting Gault Rennow as a companion really screws with reality when you meet your contact on Mek-Sha. ( after the 1st speeder ride ( no spoilers) I know Gault is a slippery customer, but he doesn't have a double. QC at its finest.
  21. Several times I can see other players in my cutscenes. I can hear NPC voices but they are obscured by other characters. I won't say 'spoils the story and immersion' coz I've seen this scene before, but it's kinda comical talking to Lana Beniko while playing hide and seek around some random male Darth standing between us. It's only a minor graphical glitch, but the entrance to the Northern Cave on Onderon ( location -562 -658 ish) at the bottom of the lake encampments .... The water effect is running out of the cave instead of into it - since the cave has a series of down-stepping waterfalls, it should be running the opposite direction.
  22. Crewskill gathering efficiency amps seem very underwhelming. - 1-2% CD reduction of ~15 minutes at level 10/11 is still only a few seconds.... If you've waited 15 mins and 15 seconds, you could probably wait another 15 seconds TBH. ( approx. values ofc)
  23. Laze Target ability CD text not showing ( sniper / Virulence) Image goes to radar, but no text, even when CD goes to 10ths. equipped gear clipping through into active outfit in cutscenes. Biochem crafting will only make 1 item per companion at a time, can't queue more than 1. - possibly in instanced areas where alternative companions are normally locked out. Crewskills crafting shows several items can be made even when there are insufficient mats. ( so obvs cannot be queued up)
  24. An app wil start a feedback loop. Crafters dowload the app. They use it extensively, hoping to make credits selling mats. Incresed competition pushes down prixes of mats. Demand for mats doesn't change significantly. pushing prices down even further. People give up using the app. TBH it's too costly to develop an app like this. It's mainly self defeating. If you want to hoard mats, log on and spend an hour harvesting nodes and sending your crew out on missions. You can gether specific nodes in instanced areas, open world or simply send the maxumum number out on missions. IF you invest credits on their affection, they'l gather at max speed. There are also new mods to aid crafting. Also, if you can't log on, why do you need more credits? They don't drain from your account as rent or upkeep costs. Buy stuff from CM with CCs and sell the items, boxes or the contents. - it's the fastest way to credits in the game.
  25. A number ov varying mat-gathering nodes appear to be under the scenery on Onderon and unable to be gathered.
