  1. Yes he can, read up on it or simply watch the show. I don't believe Goku was ever shown doing this, but it is shown that all saiyans can as you see Vegeta and Bardock doing this.
  2. Since these two are from different universes, George Lucas' word of God will not work here. Luke was the Strongest Jedi, Goku the strongest Saiyan. I say Goku, he was ridiculously powerful. He could teleport, Create beams of energy that could destroy planets, move so fast that he could fly around the world a couple hundred times in a matter of minutes, and could breathe in space. He probably would not even have to go past super saiyan 2 to win. But this is just my opinion, so..... Let the argument begin!
  3. I believe this whole fight is pointless. Vitiate is very strong, and yet we still know nothing about him, meaning he could be alot more powerful then we are aware of. But if I've learned anything from reading all these threads, its that George Lucas would never let a sith become more powerful than his sith lord, Darth Sidious. So it is very possible that Vitiate will become incredibly powerful, but sadly Sidious will always be ahead of him.
  4. Hey, thanks alot for the opinions guys I learned much from this. I was aware of course the whole time that Anakin is no doubt the chosen one, just stating that some things in the Expanded Universe slightly contradicted this, such as Sidious still being alive and all. Nonetheless, I am happy that this argument was not full of people calling each other stupid the entire time
  5. I agree. Its also important to note that Sideous tried to escape before the battle started, meaning he was scared of Yoda. He and Yoda also could not overpower one another during the lightning fight. Yoda would destroy Vader
  6. True, but the clone nonetheless was simply a body for Sideous' essence, so he was still Sideous.
  7. Why would there be a prophecy of restoring balance to the force if they would just return again and when he died Sideous was still alive? And i never said luke was the chosen one, i said he would be a better candidate.
  8. Sorry, just a joke. But most likely either Lucas will forbid any more writing past this, or the Jedi and Sith will go to war once again
  9. I don't remember. Just look it up on google or on wookiepedia i remember reading it somewhere. But in the movies it definately implies this as Anakin fulfilled his prophecy by killing the emperor. Sadly it would make sense if the force was balanced that way, but Lucas' word is law in star wars. Also the dark side is the corruption of the force, not supposed to be used that way.
  10. There was a second prophecy? I had never heard of that. And I'm not trying to say that Anakin is absolutely not the chosen one, just saying that the EU directly conflicts with him fulfilling the prophecy
  11. I understand that, but George Lucas himself said that balance meant only the Lightside existed. And this would have been true if the EU had not revived Sidoues and the Sith
  12. Perhaps Sidoues will be revived because Lucas feels threatened that his sith lord might become weaker than bioware's emporer. And he will be given the power to destroy planets simply by looking at them, and using this power he will destroy everything out of vengeance and Star wars will cease to exist. Or the Sith will be revived yet again and there will be another war and another skywalker.
  13. But the whole point of being the chosen one was to bring balance to the force, which is just the lightside, and according to the EU sidious survived. It's very true that Luke would have been a better candidate for the Chosen one
  14. Of course Anakin was the Chosen one........ In George's universe. But in the the Universe that contains the EU, i believe he was not. Anakin could not have been the Chosen one because: 1. He fell to the darkside. He was supposedly created by the force to counteract against Plaguies and Sidious, and if he was then he should have only been filled with the light side of the force. 2. He destroyed the Jedi, followers of the Lightside. Surely that would not be the will of the force. 3. He did not bring balance to the force. Sidious survived and the sith survived. The conflicts of the force continued with Sidious, and after him, the One Sith. In the movies universe he would be as he did destroy the sith, and that is where the story was supposed to end. But the EU conflicts with this too greatly, and ultimately he could not have been since the sith lived on and he did not bring balance to the force. (Balance in the force is when only the light side exists, GL said it himself) This is of course my opinion, and I would like to hear all your opinions on this as well!
  15. The Jedi during the prequal trilogy era had some of the strongest jedi of all time, yet they also had the weakest jedi of all time. I mean, c'mon, half the jedi were killed by a small pack of clone troopers following them, and the other half were killed by Anakin in the temple. Jedi are supposed to be able to sense danger, but yet all those that died by order 66 could not sense that their clone troopers were up to something, and even if they did they somehow stood no chance against like 5 or 6 of them. Thats weak. And you would think that Anakin would have been overwhelmed by fighting so many jedi at once...... but once again, they were weak. But when the jedi were strong, they were very strong. Like Yoda who was the Grand Master, Mace who was the best duelist of his time, Obi-wan who defeated Anakin, Anakin who was the Chosen one, and Qui-gon who discovered how to become one with the force.
  16. Actually I'm quite sure the Sith Emporer did not use relics. I think people keep saying he does because everyone thought he was Naga Sadow before his backstory was told in Revan. Also when he had the sith helping him in the ritual, they were not doing it willingly. He dominated their minds and forced them to. And about people thinking he's weak because he relies on using rituals to give him power, that's wrong. He created the ritual that gave him immortality and the ritual he was going to use in order to destroy the galaxy, and also one would need to have great power to perform such an amazing ritual in the first place. One more thing.... The whole point of using the dark side is to gain power quickly, so there is nothing wrong with using rituals.
