  1. Or maybe they don't want to do ranked, or limited to only arenas. We'd get threads about crap here one way or another, this is just another thread that won't accomplish anything but to facilitate QQ. Nothing will change.
  2. Balancing, bolster, que synch/win trading in ranked yet this is the issue with PvP that must be addressed. The reason it has been around so long is that it really isn't an issue as you see it in BW's eyes.
  3. Is not removing the gear by itself punishment? That makes the time spent with the exploit now wasted, and they are back to square one.
  4. Remove any and all gear acquired through this exploit, simple as that. That to me seems about as fair as it can get. No perma bans or lockout from raids. BW screwed up, and is pinning the blame on the gamers. If you create an environment where players can achieve something through easier means... they will take it! Path of least resistance kind of thing. So, the blame here should be shared and the punishment be the removal of ill acquired gear.
  5. This is a fair point. But when nearly every other spec was buffed, pyro/plasmatech was left behind in the dust. And I don't see BW handing out huge nerfs to bring everything else to pyro's level. Rather, I'd see them buffing pyro to bring it up to part with the other specs. Pyro/Assault does worse today than it did prior to 3.0, and even then the damage wasn't ideal though it was agreeable. So overall, I believe pyro is underpowered.

  7. Just look at any lvl 60 wz. Most players are of same gear lvl. The only disparity is skill.
  8. And what is exactly fair in PvP by your definition? 8vs8? All in same gear? Everyone not playing fotms? Everyone playing fotms? Everyone to be bolstered to the exact same stats?
  9. This has to do with the type of games being made and their target audience. Most games that have a harsher WPvP system are likely designed with a hardcore PvP target audience in mind. Hence, those systems shine and are successful in those games. Whereas with games with less harsh WPvP systems (or none like in this game lol), are likely targeted at a less hardcore PvP audience. Hence, those systems do not shine in the eyes of the hardcore PvPers and it is left to die (sound familiar?).
  10. If they fix and improve this spec. I'd play it again primarily in Wzs. Pre 3.0 Tactics and AP was the most fun I had in PvP. Good video! As the joker said: Everything burns!!!
  11. Short answer? in my opinion yes. It is fun to play and is my favorite spec alongside lethality to play for enjoyment in PvP. But is just doesn't deliver like the pre 3.0 Tactics and AP did, and those didn't deliver as well as they could have either. So I would like to see some improvements to the DPS in that tree such as the cleave damage, and of course the bug fixes.
  12. No there is a reason for this. Being some people do not want to have PvP forced upon them. I for one fully support this where it is warranted. There is no reason to remove the flagging system from PvE servers. Simply improve it so two willing people who wish to PvP can flag as the only means to PvP in the open world.

  14. There are people who care. But that population in this game is so small it may as well be considered nonexistent. I think BW just never really cared about WPvP from the start. And simply slapped together what they did to appeal to a minority group. I doubt we will see any real content ever.

  16. I like this post. Even though I agree that it is the OPs fault for attacking the flagged player, I believe more measures such as this could be implemented to reduce non-intentional PvP on PvE servers.
  17. This isn't really the game for OWPvP. It can be seen since launch with the whole Illum debacle and everything else up until today. It is one of the smallest niches in this themepark game. And this is not likely to change.
  18. As far as I understand it yes. The disciplines don't tie down the ability to guard, rather the stance/cell/charge do. I haven't played on my tank since 3.0 to confirm however. So they could be specced for DPS but be in a guard charge.
  19. Not entirely. It really depends upon the MMO and what their target audience is. For example if it is an open world sandbox/PvP MMO, I doubt raiding would be high on the list. This isn't to say raiding has no spot in the game genre, but a reduced pedestal IMO.
  20. I don't understand. How are they making you flag by simply jumping around? Are you failing to target the mobs properly and accidently hit them? Either way, I've always supported the idea for both parties to consent to PvP on a PvE server if they so choose to do so. Whether it be bay queuing for wz's or both flagging in the open world.
  21. Unless I am not understanding this correctly... This is a terrible suggestion. Marcros are not the issue, as spamming SC while following your rotation is very easy to do without the assistance of any macros. The better alternative would be to introduce the ICD as it was prior to 2.0. I also don't see the need for the extra three shots to be in AP/Tactics anymore (open to discussion on this) as it is no longer the same tree as it was prior to 3.0. Moving it to plasmatech would be my preferred solution along with the older ICD on SC.
  22. Screw that. I'm playing in a game with or without a premade. PvP is PvP, the hell with feelings. If you want a "fair" fight then try PvE.
  23. So what is the premise of your nerf? The details of how to correctly downtune them? All I am seeing is someone trying to use physics against an ability that negates them and claiming this as an immunity to stuns.
  24. Well broken bolster aside. After running to gear my ship Lol. I personally have seen averages of 33k-39k being the norm in wz's on my lowbies. Though as you said, with the broken bolster, exceptions are possible, but hardly the norm in my opinion.
