  1. because the healing from darkcharge is minimal and it has a long cooldown so it basically procs every time its off cd anyways. the 15% chance is pointless. you still proc energized off assassinate and if you have to use thrash ie as i said before in single target cant aoe you need energized procs to build threat from shock and build HD when you cant use wither because of cc and such. and you need torment because it reduces force cost of shock by 6
  2. put khem val in dps stance and use him till you get andronkis. Khem is a waste to use for assassins. Either do dps spec with dps companion or tank spec with dps companion. then once you are 40 you can bring out your healing companion.
  3. ya swelling shadows is not needed. neither is thrashing blades. ive acutally gone with nerve wracking which is nice for times when dps needs to burn down adds. like the bombers on last boss in denova. Most tankasins are not using thrash in normal rotation only when you cant aoe. Its normaly shock wither discharge saber strike shock force lightining, shock wither discharge shock saber strike force lightining. This gives you faster stacks of HD and more overal self healing then using thrash. If you are full force for some reason then ya go a head and throw in a thrash but i find this rotation works great and im avg like 200 hps on boss fights.   4. we are not rogue tanks we are just as beefy as a juggeranut as in armor value. if you stack purely defense no absorb or shield when you dont defend you get smacked hard. the game is a 2 roll system first roll is to see if you defend if you dont 2nd see if you shield if you shield then its mitigated by absorb. so its important to have a good mix of all 3. You want your goal to be 30% defense with stim 50% shield without darkward up and 60% absorb. Those stats can be reached with remodding of campaign gear and full use of all augment slots.
  5. you really cant take away from shield rateing unless he has sheild rateing augmetns every enhancment will either have shield/def sheild/absorb or acc/defense acc/absorb. So there his best bet is going to be the shield/def enhancments. and then using augment slots for defense.
  6. 27% defense for an assassin tank is good he is not sorely lacking defense he is starting to hit DR of defense at that point. at 340 defense 36defense just gives me under 1% defense but at 382 absorb rateing 29 absorb is giving me almost 3%. so as you can see absorb is going to be a better value for over all mitigation at the these rateings.
  7. shield chance doesnt cap at 50% there are no caps on any stats. just diminishing returns. Only Rateing such as this item has 306 shield rateing like a relic contruibute to diminishing returns. anything that adds % is not effected by diminishing returns. So if i have 45% shield chance with out DW up the % that i gain from DW is all gravy. Now relics with shield/absorb on them will lose value the more shield chance you have. What i think you are confused about is diminishing returns. 50% with out dw up is deep into diminishing returns of shield rateing but thats not the cap. My goal is 30% defense 50% shield with out DW up and 60% absorb. what i would do for the OP is Put shield/def enhancments in everything the 57sheild 22 defense then the 41 absorb in all the mods slots. then use your augment slots for defense augments. I'm currently at 24k hp 7k armor 27% defense 45%(65% with darkward)shield chance and 55% absorbtion. Ive yet to start putting in the 41 absorb mods. this is all with out a stim.
  8. taunts cannot miss they are not based off acc like wow. Acc only effects melee skills. Since most Tankasins are using a thrashless tank rotation acc is pointless. I have 0 acc on my gear,implants or ear. Its nice to finlay get it all out even my weapon offhand does not have acc on them. also acc doesnt effect force skills. force skills have 100% chance. So basically saberstrike/trash/lacerate only benifit from acc.

  10. Thats not what he is saying. Warriors can use a single balded light saber and a sword and use all their skills. they get the option to use either. A saberstaff and an elctro staff are and should be the same thing as the warrior using saber or sword. Elctrostaff is a 2 handded polearm weapon similar to the saberstaff that assassins use now. the only difference is its not a lightsaber. Hense we can equip it , we should be able to use our skills with it. We are not asking to use a 1 handed sword from the other classes or swrods from the other classes. We are asking for a weapon for our class to work with our skills.

  13. the teir 1 gear was never suppose to transfer over. Was always suppose to be the 1.2 gear. and 100k per item to gain 18 stat points i agree is expensive but you can make 1.5 mil a day doing your dailies on all 3 planets and on your ship. So really at this time you have an augmented weapon and augmented chest. ANd are keeping your rakata helm gloves boots pants. Because you will lose set bonus. So 200k for now isnt much to spend on 2 item transfers of mods. When you can make 1.5mil in 1 day.
  14. Tell that to a level 50 that has to pay 100k credits to repair their raid gear after a night of wipes. Thats a big dealth penalty.
  15. your point was that a crafter should make equal gear to raiding . They can its callled exotech if you raid patterns drop. You learn those patterns and you craft gear that is equal to raid gear. Also Implant Ear patternrs all drop. And the new 1.2 raid content you can RE the gear that drops and learn that pattern to craft for other people its BOE when you learn it. SO again YOU CAN MAKE THE BEST GEAR AS A CRAFTER IF YOU WANT TO NOT BE DUMB AND LEVEL TO 50 AND PLAY THE GAME. l2 play stop the QQ and get awesome loots and patterns and WIN!
  16. The set bonuses are only for the new gear. campaign and the new pvp gear. the set bonuses are attached to the Armoring. so if you put the campaign gear armoring in a pvp item that items armoring is replaced hense its setbonus is erased.
  17. this is wrong affection does not increase crit chance just shortens the time it takes to do the misison. 2ndly you do get augment schematics from both mission types i have gotten all the augment missions already.
  18. what the issue is the pvpers can get said augmetned boe items gloves boots, for 55k off the pvp vendors and raiders have to spend a few weeks doing HM Denova and then get luck for items drop then get lucky to learn the pattern. Even then the item is bop and cant be sold to others.

  21. even in wow taunt was a threat building move. because people dont pull agro at 100% threat. Melee pulls agro at 120% and range 130% so if someone is say 110% of your threat and you use taunt you are now a head of them in threat even though they havent pulled agro yet. Alot of boss mechaincs work this way. Say a skill drops on dps and heals only, doesnt hit the top threat of the boss. well just cause you have agro doesnt mean you are top threat so the skill could hit the tank because some one has more threat just hasnt reached the pull threshold the way threat works in this game every Damage skill gens 1:1 threat. so if it does 100 damge it gens 100 threat. now tanks get 1.5 threat from tank stance wither gets .5 on top of that so with does 100 damage it does 200 threat. Also things that do damage and heal gen threat twice. So like force lighting we gen damage threat and healing threat from one skill when used with 3 harnessed darkness. Tanking is about 80% tank and 20% dps. Dps have agro dumps they should be using specially after they unload at the start of a fight. They shouldnt wait till they acutally pull agro to use it. DPS should be going Weaks/normals<strongs<elites<champions. If they do this you should have all the time in the world to group up all the strongs and elites and champs in the group and have threat on them. 1 key note you will have to AoE taunt after Orbital strike and Death from above thats just almost a fact of life. Get use to that hehe. In my tank gear on my assassin i am at. 24603hp 6917 armor rating 43% damage reduction 24% defense 40% shield chance with out darkward 60% shield with darkward and 55.5% absorption.
  22. well i should correct my self if you are in DR of Crit then power>willpower if you are not in dr of crit then willpower>power. If you are not in DR of surge then surge would be a good augment till you get gear with more surge in it.
  23. depends on the stats you have if you are in DR of crit and surge then willpower loses its value over power. If you are not in DR of Crit and Surge then WIllpower>power.
