I actually think that SWTOR improvements were quite big. First of all, crafting and GTN improvements. I wasn´t able to notice the changes brought by Legacy because none of alt achieved 50. Does the Legacywork actually ? Could someone to check it.

So...What´s your impression so far. Was it worth the heck it got ? Did it meet your expectations ? Will it bring people back ? Were the improvements huge or not so much ? Did it bring SWTOR to the same grounds its main competitors are?

I rerolled to Fatman when it was still heavy so I have a full right to be there. So for the rest of you, damned immigrants !!! On Thursday, it had 500 queue. But equally, I don´t care waiting some 20 mins. I just alt-tab and play some shooter.

It´s the biggest platform right now. And Valve is the most honest and PC-gaming supportive company. Valve is like Blizzard but they never sold their soul to the devil (Diablo, in spanish). So yes, if I have to choose the universal platform for PC gaming I would certainly choose Steam.

I assure you Steam will live for much longer because Steam is software and doesn´t depend on hardware.

Nobody wants to play Atari games, it´s the most nerdish thing I heard. I can understand Sega or Nintendo classics, but Attari ? Seriously ?

Steam is the best thing that happened to PC gaming. Steam made installing and mantaining games pretty easy. I just don´t have to think if an old game will run on W7. If it´s availble on Steam then it will certainly run on W7. Steam with crazy resales made PC gaming available for the major part of the world. Even East Europe can afford the games for 5 bucks. Steam pun the standard platform for running all PC games available, basically becoming in some sort of console: one-click install and one-click play. Say thanks for that to EA. Only EA is removing its games screwing the users. I know no other publisher who actually removed its games from Steam. Steam never by its own initiative removed a single game. Don´t be a hippy. You never own the game. You just buying the right to play it. It´s valid not only for Steam games but for retail version too. Just read the user agreement. So no big diffrence there. Beside Steam has a trading service where users can trade games one with another owned on Steam.

Huge part of classic games is available on Steam and they will run on Windows 7 just fine. I don´t need Atari, Sega or Nintendo to play the most famous classics, they are already available on Steam for 1 buck.

You clearly don´t use Steam a lot. Sorry. But this is completely false. Steam is awesome becasue for the quite opposite thing: downloading on Steam means installing. Once you download the game you actually installed it and it´s ready to play. No other registration are needed. It´s that simple. Another thing: Steam´s drm is actually the proper Steam. Once you installed the game on Steam, you don´t have to activate it. Once you installed the game on Steam the game will automatically patched. Once you installed the game on Steam you don´t need to worry whether the majesty DRM will allow you to play the game or not. Steam is that simple.

So what ? It makes you more Guildmaster ? The Founder title would be cool to use if the game will be alive for 5 years. Then I could scare the low-levels with my 200-level character clad in a huge shiny armor over a even bigger monster-truck hover byke and neon-glowing Founder title overhead. But untill then it´s MEH.

Honestly... Founder Title sucks. Why do I want to be called Founder when I have more appealing titles like Heartless and Merciless. Founder Title doesn´t allow me to show my alignment. And from this point, everybody who plays the game right now can be considered a Founder. The game is only 4 month old. I´d prefer something more substantial as a gratifiaction: some custom gear, for example, Founder armor, Founder vendor, Founder bike, a new companion, even Heartless Founder and Merciless Founder titles would be better.

Lol. I just bought the standard edition in february, but I aquired one 60-days timecode, and I got the Founder title.

Yes yes. I know. You are talking about a datacron in Narshaddaa in the industrial sector. One hour spent trying to get it.

And still SWTOR combat is the best to date....well...untill GW2 is released. But equally the combat is very good. I actually feel the impacts of blaster fire and light saber slashes. The good discovery for me was the fact that the melees must be close enough for a hit being taken VS WoW´s monster-can-hit-you-while-10-feets-away. And SWTOR is not a click fest at all. You can play it like this, but I can deal tons of damage choosing the right abilities for the determined enemies. Once I in group fought a melee monster who was dealing tons of damage and was pretty fast. He killed my group again and again untill I realized that the monster was totally lacking immunity for slow down abilities. As result, I killed the monster with one alive guy just running arround him and attacking him from the distance. The monster was recovering its speed just in time when the slow-down abilitiy become active again.

Fatman. I am Sniper 31. Yesterday, I hunted down and killed 8 republicans while I was questing the Bonus series of Nar Shaddaa. 8, by myself, a few more while going in group. 2 of them, level 35. One I caught while he just finished killing the mob. Her mistake was that she decided to flee and not confront me. She was slighly low on health. At the ende , we were playing cat-mouse for 15 mins. She trying to outrun me, while I slowing her down with probes to break the distance and shooting at her back. That was epic Benny Hill-style fight. Once she even managed to break the fighting slow down but commited a mistake and I quickly catched her in my hover bike. Finally she faced me and I finished her off with a stub. Another dude, was questing in the imperial preason. I attacked him, when I started loosing, because he was 35,I tricked him drawing him toward imperial mob. He fell for this alerting four 31-level imperial guards. Then I spend another hour harassing a group of 21-24 level republican group while they were trying to get a datacron:D At the end, I killed at least 8 republicans by myself. A few times, I and another guy had to flee from 50s They were stalking us not allowing to complete a heroic. A few times I had to run from a retaliation group for killing those 8 republicans. At the end, I responded a call for help 21+level guy who was trapped in a 31-level arrea trying to get a datacron. I teamed up with him and one 50 who was passing by to search for the datacron for ourselves. We had to repel 3 republican attacks while passing through republican territory. And to carry out all this, I had to chat and meet people. With no LFG tool, SWTOR is more MMO than WoW . If it´s not a true MMO experience for you then you are dead inside.

Spending 450 dolls playing other games ? Sure. I never said that you have to pay the subscription untill a new expansion is released.

The problem is you should pay it on Origin first, and Orign is not very friendly to not US customers and regional restrictions are fierce. Steam, in change, is worldwide. In Russia, you can only get physical copies which are scarce, while Steam even include currency conversion in rubles. The same for Argentina, I had to recur to proxy servers to able to pay SWTOR while my internet connection is good, and I never had lag in the game. And this is the biggest b*l**** of Origin: Bioware installer allows me download the game and play it from Argentina while Origin restricts me to buy it. And this happen in many other not US countries. This is the reason why I believe Steam would allow to sell more copies of SWTOR. Origin is pulling back SWTOR from additional 1M subs. Steam saved Rift. Well...Steam and 7.99 discounts. The players you see in the stats are those who logged in through the steam, it doesn´t includes at all the players who logged directly through the game console. Steam and 29.99 would do the same for SWTOR.
