  1. and the losses that were less than expected. Stock is up about 6% today, well above the market average. And no, this is not EA buying back shares yet like they said they would do in the conference call yesterday. The investors must not be reading this board with regards to SWTOR
  2. Someone must believe in the guy today or like the layoffs as the stock is up almost 7% today and back around $12.25.
  3. I just hope the quests are well done. The one that really comes to mind for me is the enchanter epic 1.0 in EQ. You actually had to use your diffreing class talents in that quest. I am not sure SWTOR can do that though with the differing Advanced Classes.
  4. I use each companion at least for one planet along the ride. Say I get Blizz on Hoth. Then I use him on Voss. Or if I get FOREX on Nar Shadaa, then I will use him on Tatooine. This way I can get some companion points on each companion without just using gifts. It also allows me to use different strategies on each of my toons. I learn to play with dps, tanks or healers. It is not about efficiency for me at all. But I am different than most, I am sure.
  5. Maybe go do the Nar Shadaa Bonus series. At your level, it won't do a lot for xp, but it may help.
  6. I am sure they have. Not many games start with 1.7 million. Heck did EQ ever have more than 300K. People are going to always leave. DAOC the king for PVP it seemed is living off what 10K people right now on one server. It happens, but this game still has pretty good numbers.
  7. So if I was the meanest, baddiist, rudist sniper on the planet with 8100 DS/ 1200 LS points, but So which am i? Thanks in advance, I guess I am just dense.
  8. Neither actually. I am a Bioware fan from back in the days of Baldur's Gate. I love their games and I am not disappointed here. Just about finished with my 4th story. 4 more in the works and by then they may have more content to do on each character. Let me qualify my post by saying I played Everquest for 8 years, so I guess I am an MMO fan. But I am long past the second job atmosphere that some MMOs bring. I enjoy playing at my leisure.
  9. Well you found one. I love the crafting legacy perks and I will buy all levels of them on my characters once I get each of the 8 to 50.
  10. I really like all of the suggestions here except one. I just want to be a devil's advocaate on one in a way. As I am all for the companions walking through the ship. I don't mind them being stationed in rooms throughout the ship. The point is some of them are in certain parts of a ship for reason. Like some inspecting the mechanics of the ship. Additionally, it makes us visit different parts of the ship where we may never do it otherwise. Just my humble opinion.
  11. I have a 41 female body type 4 imperial agent and a male body type 3 sith inquisitor right now. I love the race. Nothing like getting called an alien by everyone, but feeling like the baddest alien on the block. I think many may not like them because of being bald, especially the female characters. Doesn't bother me one bit.
  12. From what I have read, you cannot have the flashpoints in your quest log. You have to abandom them. Then they will pop up. Granted, I have not tested this, but it is what I gathered from reading on the forums.
  13. Only played 3 to 50 so far. Trooper - M1-4X - He just cracks me up. I really enjoyed his story and his thoughts on how to raise the good guys morale. For the Republic!! Jedi Consular - Tie Between Lt. Felix Iresso and Nadia Grell - Both are so loyal to the good side. Felix is great when you have to rez him after he falls. And Nadia really makes me smiile when you send her on missions. Bounty Hunter - Tie between Blizz and Skadge yes Skadge. Blizz is just a small ball of cheer. And Skadge makes me laugh when I send him on missions. Everyone needs that big guy with an attitude on their team, especially a bounty hunter.
  14. I have a feeling a lot of these people played Everquest. Maybe WoW, but I don't know that game. In Everquest, the best gear came from Raids. And those raids were 40+ people. The key is with traveling time, raids may do 3-4 mobs a night that at most dropped 3 loots. (I know Plane of Time was different for any know it alls) Anyway, so only maybe 10 loots were given out between 40 people on a given night. And some nights you may get nothing as you wipe. So it takes months to fill oh say 10 equipment slots. The problem with today's games is you can fill out equipment in a short time. It is nothing like EQ was, so folks starve for content. One thing is for sure, hardcore to the hilt can not get enough content. I don't have a problem with that though as there are tons of games out there to play. It does not have to be just one. The casuals will have plenty to do for the most part.
  15. So the gaming industry needs to lose money by hiring extra people to pump out content for kids home for the summer, retirees and the unemployed? And to heck with us working stiffs who put money into the stock of the companies that are going to lose money.
  16. Well Bioware, this is one you may want to respond about. I have not gotten home from work to check on this one, but this seems like an unusual change in the middle of the game. And to top it off, Zenith is all about investigation, not treasure hunting.
  17. I don't think they changed their minds. They are pushing out content as fast as they can. You just may need more than one game. Just my opinion.
  18. Here is the list of the planets in the game. Which movies were they shown in? I have 5 of the 6 movies on DVR right now and I wanted to make sure I know where each is talked about (if they are). Ord Mantell Korriban Tython Hutta Dromund Kaas Coruscant Balmorra Nar Shadaa Taris Tatooine - Return of the Jedi Alderaan Quesh Hoth - Empire Strikes Back Belsavis Voss Corellia Note: I put in two as each movie starts on that planet. What movies have a portrayel of each? And yes I know the next planet (Makeb) is not in the lore. Thanks in advance!
  19. Check out character transfers buddy in case you missed it.
  20. I think you are talking about the farm. Well that is the first time you have to deal with casters really. Yes, it teaches you how to use interrupts. You need them or you will die. Bioware had to put the learning curve somewhere and it might as well have been right before you end your chapter 1 on your class quest. You can do it. Trust me it took a while on my first character, my bounty hunter. I think one of the quests you do, you actually have to kill about 3 of those casters. I never will forget it as you have one right there in the backyard and then a few more down in the buildings to the south. Remember stuns and interrupts.
