Yesterday's interview with Jeff Hickman - lots of answers
Arnasdam replied to Cenyala's topic in General Discussion
Ohhh, so like the way they learned to not create so many servers at launch to avoid having to merge them later on. Yeah I see how they were able to learn from others. -
They announced exactly what the f2p players will get/not get? Who wants to play the game at 50 anyways? That's the most boring part of the game.
-
^This In my experience with MMO's when a team goes silent, it's because game changing news is on its way and they don't want leaks. The writing is on the wall imo. All that's left is the details

Stuff you wish you knew when you first started playing SWTOR
Arnasdam replied to Danbuterx's topic in General Discussion
I noticed this as well sub 50. I chalked it up to imps rerolling as pubs to prepare for the new HK companion, and vice versa. Pre-game I see a lot of smuggler, consular, knight, trooper legacy emotes so it just leads me to believe that it's probably true. -
Stuff you wish you knew when you first started playing SWTOR
Arnasdam replied to Danbuterx's topic in General Discussion
Yeah it does. On more of what the OP was going for: I wish I had quit playing my bh once I finshed the class story instead of farting around with crappy pvp and dailies. I should have just started a new alt and focused on that story. I wish I had taken slicing at launch and used the hell out of it before it was nerfed. I wish I knew that on a speeder I could open the crew skills window and tell my companion to sell junk and it would be instant instead of a cast. I wish I knew there would be f2p on the horizon and the CE could be found on the shelves months later cheaper. [edit]: I wish I knew that there is no "War" in this Star Wars game. I wish I knew that rolling all classes in one faction at start would be fruitless once 1.2 came out. -

EA shareholders meeting: over/under 300k subs?
Arnasdam replied to DarksideWK's topic in General Discussion
Do they have to tell them subs? Or just the number or players? With f2p to lvl 15 there will be a difference, and the positive spin would be to go with the number of players and not subs -
Ea tells Raptr that they are considering f2p

Character Transfer, Server Populations and You
Arnasdam replied to CourtneyWoods's topic in General Discussion
Haven't read through the entire thread, but have they said anything about a minimum level for characters to be transferred? -
It was in the patch notes. Just not in the pvp section. Happy for this change though. Never understood why weekly would give the same rewards as dailies to begin with.

Yeah, this is the stuff I hate the most. Glitches are one thing, but hacks like this truly disturb me. Also, I've see the skill points hack where they have more skill points than they should. It's hard to catch. For example, I've seen a sage cast Salvation and then throw me in an instant Force Lift (I mean instant). Obviously, you have to really be watching for it. I suspected the player was fishy to begin with

The Republic Fleet - With several pictures.
Arnasdam replied to Halofax's topic in General Discussion
I've never figured out why the republic fleet wasn't closer to a republic planet. If you look out the windows in the fleet it looks like the fleet is orbiting a star. Who's bright idea was that? The aesthetics are bad, but I think the layout is worse. The imperial fleet is open. The republic fleet layout feels clustered. To get to any of the vendors on the outlying ring or the trainers you have squeeze through a tiny archway. The imperial fleet has a much more open design. -
Please let us have 12 characters per server.
Arnasdam replied to AngryHobbitHulk's topic in Suggestion Box
You could always mail crafting materials or crafted items to your legacy characters in the mail. Cross faction mail works on characters in the same legacy.
