  2. While you're at it, add autohealing in spawn aswell. A late Bounty Hunter buff will have everyone slightly injured when running out of the gates. Also from fall damage on Novare Coast.

  4. I think they're reacting too wild. The game is definitely recovering now. Give a couple of months and popularity will probably return. They pushed the deadline for the release, that was the big problem making every spoiled gamer cry about the small tings they were used to in WoW. Three months from now they game will flourish! My 2 cents.
  5. Hey there, I just dragged my space-burglar butt into my very first Operation, namely Eternity Vault HM. Not that it has anything to do with my post in general but it was really fun; much more so than I expected. Very innovative boss mechanics and fun fights (thumbs up BW). I play a Powertech and I am currently running a Pyro build. The DPS is ofcourse amazing but tend to slow down ofcourse when heat starts to build up. My question: Is Pyrotech a good end-game build in general for Powertechs? I was considering going Advanced Prototype instead for the heat consistency. Can any of you guys give some pointers and insight? Yours truly.

  9. There's a big difference between Can protect your activation and Does not have need to protect your activation, because you don't use any. If you did not now, here is a list of the core abilities of Pyro dps: Flame burst Inc missile Rail Gun Rocket Punch TD All those are instants and most likely 99% of any PT/VG's dps. Unload? Sure, if you wanna get fancy every now and then. Combustible Gas does an insane amount of damage but is simply the stance - more skill involved. Btw, typing in color doesn't make your opinion more valid, you only look like you're in dire need of attention

People saying adding any sort of activation to PT abilities are just defending bad game play (Most likely because they are very bad themselves and want to continue to live in the illusion that they are actually good.) I suggested adding a new ability with activation and spread their damage there after. Mainly because I think none of their current core abilities are really suited for it. * No way to interrupt = less skill. * Cant be interrupted = less skill. * LoS plays a minimal factor for PT/VG. * They can kite any melee who doesn't have a gap closer ready while they can stay close to any range just due to nature of Combust Gas, which is something they don't have to apply, it will come automatically. All this promotes bad game play and a very low skill cap. PS. I'm not a hater of the class, I do however like when skilled players can be sorted out from the rubbish ones. Sure, rubbish will be rubbish, but mediocre and elite is the same thing when it comes to PT/VG.
  11. That's all fine and dandy guys, still doesn't explain why any decent PT/VG will - if he's/she's trying - outperform other classes with hundreds of thousands damage. But hey, that's just because they're much better players right? Guess I should go pro then since you obviously think I'm so awesome.
  12. I read your post alright, you just made a lousy point. I'm pretty sure that you just want to live in your tower of delusions that people who rolled PT / VG are simply the better players. I rolled a PT, clearly I'm better than the others... right? That is clearly not case. In fact, it's obvious that the class is way too simple when anyone can roll it and outperform on damage with an insane ratio, using no timings, spamming until full of heat while hoping that Rail gun procs as often as humanly possible. You can debate that all you want, I can throw out a challenge for those who wants to investigate to roll a PT themselves and see how long it takes them to maul every other class in damage. That PT's outperform EVERY other class for the regular guy is a fact. And lol, throw out a poll for people who play both Marauder and PT and ask them which one is harder... You wont be happy, that I can bet on.
  13. You don't really make a point. You can clearly see the difference between a good SW and a bad one, just as you can with a good SI and a bad one. Your whining of WoW terminology doesn't really make a point against the fact that PT / Vanguard is by far the easiest class in the game to shine with. Thanks to their run & spam plays-style which is rewarded way too much. Anyone can shine with a PT, I do it all the time
  14. That does nothing to insert any kind of skill to the play style. Anyone who can bind 5 buttons can still master this class with those suggestions. With all respect of course.
  15. You my friend are twisting the reality of game play. Doing insane damage has nothing to do with casts - Making the play style fitting a 4-year old, that's my point. Exactly what cast do you use to pump out damage? mm, thought so. Ah, you edited.

Agree with OP but to insert any kind of skill (I play two PT's myself) a cast 10 sec CD damage ability should be added. - GOAL - * Remove the mindless play style and add an element of timing. * Give other players a chance to reduce the burst with said timing. * Reduce damage of Powertech's / Vanguard's overall slightly. New Ability - Insert cool name here - 1,5 Second cast High Damage 10 second CD 20-30 meter range Reduce damage on Flame Burst, Combustible Gas Cylinder and Rail shot (And Vanguards counterparts) by reducing armor pen and making some of it none-elemental damage. Result: * Burst now demands positional setup and timing to increase skill. * Overall damage reduced slightly and TRANSFERRED to the new 10 second CD Cast. * Burst can now be reduced by interruption or LOS (Line of Sight). * Added treat - Fake-casting now adds skill cap to both the PT/VG and his opponenet.   17. Whats needed with Pyrotech is an added ability, an ability that demands cast and then spread their damage more to that one. A slight nerf to dps is in order without buffing survivability, it's simply way over the top. It will accomplish: * Increased skill-cap since you cant be on the move all the time, and you can now get your castable interrupted. No class should have only instants as dps rotation. But what is needed is a new ability, not a cast on flameburst since it has way to short range. PS. I have two PT's. Example: Plasma Burst: Castable 1,5 seconds. 10 sec CD, 30 m range - High damage. Tune down Armor Pen on Railshot, make combustible gas cylinder proc and flameburst non-elemental damage. Result: The mindlessly spam Style-of-play will be nerfed. Overall damage tuned down a bit. Skilled players who can time their casts will be rewarded. Skilled players who can interrupt it will also be rewarded. In short, burst will demand timing and can be reduced by skillful play.
  18. Bounties on Players? Oh god yes! Suggested this for years in WoW, never happened, didn't know it was in SWG. Dying doesn't do anything... But, someone put a hit on you, you got killed and someone collected... It will hurt, RIGHT IN THE PRIDE!
  19. Server merges are need, but to save world PvP is laughable. No other mmorpg saves the day with World PvP. It's needed for Operations, Flashpoints, Warzones and auction house. End of story.
  20. OP or not. No class should be centered around 4 instants. Doesn't make much of a game.
  21. The problem is that the game is too simple. Every time people roll fotm they get too rewarded because, well, it's **** easy to play this game in PvP. The lack of meta game is laughable. Weird that fotm Pyro's has success when they basically have to bind 4 buttons and walk forward to beat 90% of the other players. Four instant buttons (LOL). I bet my *** that any Pyro can simply bind Thermal, Flame Burst, Rail and Rocket punch and beat most people. All instant attacks. Throw in some more delicate mechanics please so people can start trying to play mind games that really matter.
  22. And who wants PvE heroes destroying your fun as a PvP player? No thanks. PvP gear was never compatible in PvE, didn't hurt being a PvP'r.
  23. Yes! 1) Sci-Fi mmorpg that isnt ****. 2) Mature audience allowing sexual and violent content. 3) Compared to the leading brand - World of Warcraft - the core of Swtor is 7 leagues above.
