  1. I rolled a trooper alt and he also uses a blaster pistol during cut scenes. i guess it's more dramatic to wave a pistol in someone's face!
  2. get recruit gear. even if you can do 300K healing, you are going to take massive amounts of damage by having no expertise. if the other team is not full retard you will get marked and slaughtered very quickly
  3. start with concealment imo. healing tree doesn't offer much in the early levels
  4. both of those look like crap to me, really bad, especially the sith warblade. but i agree, they should make moddable versions of every item model in the game.
  5. when you're putting out that much healing, any ideas on roughly what percent is from kolto probe / kolto injection / surgical probe / recuperative nano ?
  6. why do you care if these items go to the cartel shop. you will get extra cartel coins because you are a CE sub. so you'll get those items because you paid for CE. someone else will also get those items if they pay real money for cartel coins. so the only difference is you paid early for the coins and they pay now for the coins, not really much to be nervous about
  7. me too. if the cap is increased to lvl 55 then all your "end game" gear that you've worked so hard for over the past months becomes obsolete. lvl 55 greens will probably be as good or maybe even better than the top tier gear for lvl 50s
  8. just go to the section on fleet where all the planetary comms vendors are and look at each one's inventory. I think it's NS, but definitely one is available from the planets before level 30
  9. if you're a concealment operative you need to be able to backstab whenever its off cooldown. so having a tank companion like kaliyo can help if you take her taunt ability off autocast and you control when she taunts. this lets you backstab if you happen to get aggro, which you probably will because your dps will be a lot higher than your companion's
  10. this game will be F2P at launch and it sounds awesome: http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/
  11. the rocket boost animation might end prematurely but the speed increase persists for the full duration. you'll see the speed buff still up on your status bar, and when the speed buff ends there is a sound effect and then your companion re-appears I find the speed buff to be really nice to have because you can use it in areas where you cannot get on your speeder, and it's a legacy-wide perk. still debating whether to get level 2 and/or level 3 though. can i get level 3 without getting level 2 first?
  12. you could have just put in a ticket and customer service would have fixed the situation for you. but it's just BT so no big deal really
  13. "Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose. I'll be right back. Don't you go dying on me!"
  14. you will do fine. i would suggest getting a couple pieces of the healer battlemaster shells for the set bonus, but stats-wise I think you will still heal fine
  15. if you just want to run dailies, go 31 points in healing and gear up either scorpio or kaliyo and you'll be able to solo almost all of the dailies. with top end pve gear you can solo all of them including poisonous strat and torvix. with tionese/columi gear only, you would have a a tough time with these 2 heroic, but all others are quite easy
  16. get black hole gear instead of rakata. it's better gear than rakata and it's easy to get
  17. Cybertech, not because it's that great of a crew skill or anything, but once you get SCORPIO you are able to learn a tremendous amount about advanced droid technologies which allows you to modify and build droid parts. Droid slicing is already an agent ability, and with cybertech you deepen your knowledge about droids and their capabilities. To go along with this, slicing would be a good skill. slicing doesn't provide you with materials for cybertech crafting, but from an agent character perspective, I think it's a good fit. you're hacking into secure systems and gaining information, which seems like what agents are all about
  18. you don't need friends, just ask a random person that you bump into on the planet if they want to get a datacron. if you can't manage that, maybe go player a single player game as that's probably more suited to you
  19. I leveled with a few different dps specs. I tried out lethality in the early levels, liking the combat stim and corrosive grenade and then switched to concealment around level 30. Fully enjoyed full concealment through level 50. I used Kaliyo 95% of the time as her ability to hold aggro and taunt when needed lets you backstab reliably. but once i had hit 50 I switched to full healer spec. solo'ing belsavis heroic dailies I found to be easier with full heal spec and running HMs and operations, much easier to get a group as a healer than as operative dps
  20. could be that your problem is in how you deliver your message. If you are a dickwad then expect to get kicked
  21. HM Lost Island goes without saying, don't even queue up for it if your gear sucks
  22. As a heal spec op, I solo all level 50 dailies with Kaliyo, including poisonous strat on Ilum and end of torvix. she has a mix of rakata and columi gear. was also doing Kaon HM for the rakghoul weekly and our tank disconnected right before the last boss. I got Kaliyo out and she tanked it just fine
