  1. None of this will increase the number of tanks/healers that will join the que for flashpoints. In wow they tried an incentive program for tanks and it didnt really work. Make the incentive too good and everyone *****ed, make it to little and the tanks didnt see the value in doing it as their repair bill was more often then not more than the value of the item. Ive been playing MMO's for almost 20 years now and this has always been a problem. The only real way to fix it will never happen and thats by dps themselves making sure the tanks/healers enjoy themselves. If they are bad dont jump up and down on them, teach them. If YOU, the dps, make sure they have fun they will come back. The reason I say it will never happen is too many people are complacent and do nothing when they see someone being given a hard time. Either that or they are one of the many dps who think its a big joke to abuse someone.
  2. Knowing your place in the que won't always help. If you have been someone that trolls a lot or that has made a lot of people upset with you (ie for some reason a lot of people have put you on ignore) you can be first up in the que and still have a long wait as you get bypassed. If someone has you on their ignore list ( like a lot of tanks or healers say) you wont get grouped with them. Not saying this is the problem all the time just trying to get people aware that their actions in game can affect their wait time. This problem can really be prominent for a dps that bad mouths tanks/healers or even a dps that pulls a lot.
  3. A PVE cross server que is one of the worse things they could do to the game and there will be a negative return for it. I was playing wow at the time they implemented this service and it made the game go from a bad community to terrible one. What happened was before cross server the best way to get a group going fast was go to a major city (cant remember why group finder wasnt used) and put together a group yourselves. DPS had to be on good behavior if they wanted to get invited. It kept things more or less sociable. When they started doing cross server group finder that went out the window and the community went down hill fast. The wait for a group got longer as the anti social types gave tanks and healers less and less enjoyment from doing a pug and they stopped joining them.
  4. They are not worth it. Most crafters out there are making and selling their wares at or below what you can sell the individual mats for. Considering the high cost of re'ing to get the good recipes you wont make any money at all as a crafter. If you want to make some money take up scavenging, archeology,underworld trading, bioanalysis, or slicing (my prefered order) and sell the items on the gth. Just have a look at what sells for the highest and farm it as some items sell for a little and some a lot.

  6. If your just starting the game you are probably very short on cash right now. Crew skills are a nice addition to the game but you can bleed credits very fast trying to raise them. This makes it hard for you to keep up on buying equipment. For your first toon Id only take harvesting skills (scavenger,slicing are the best) and sell what you find. You can easily make a few hundred thousand an hour from scavenging once you start selling high end mats. After you get a few hundred thousand in the bank grab underworld trading as well and start selling the metals ( dont bother with fabrics, they dont sell at all). Most of the lower level materials you get wont sell for a lot but as you get higher the price can go up nicely. The exception to this are plasteel and laminoid, low levels from scavenging that sell well and at good prices.
  7. Yup Im trying to complete all the recipes, even the ones that are useless. It may be a waste of resources but it gives me something to do during the guild BS sessions ;-)
  8. While I dont normally go as far as dropping, when I tank an instance and people are out of control and making mine and the healers jobs harder I will put them on ignore. Let them stew in lfg wondering why the cant get a group. Im sure there are a lot of other tanks that do this was well.
  9. Yes I am, Im very careful to check after each successful RE to make sure theres still new recipes to discover. Now up to 300 RE's of the exact same lvl 34 ear piece ( critical intercepting defense module ) with only 5 successes.
  10. Character level requirement. And Im up to 250 re's with still only 4 recipes.
  11. Im not trying to start a new RE is broken thread so if you feel the need to complain about that please post in one of the many threads already about that subject. What I do want to know is if anyone else has noticed the SPECIFIC problem of lvl 34 ear pieces not RE'ing at a good rate? The reason Im asking is this lvl, ONLY, Ive done over 200 re's this afternoon and only gotten 4 purple recipes. I realize this is possible but each one was approx 50 re's between a new recipe. This is highly improbable. Please only respond to this if you have had similar experiences with this lvl of re's.
  12. Tried to find you but no luck. Is your toon the same name as your name here? Not sure how long you've been playing or how invested you are in your toon(s) on begeren but as a suggestion you might want to switch to harbringer as there are a lot of APAC players there. The time doesnt make any difference to me, I work graveyard so when I have time off Im up when you play. I normally play till about 5am pst (gmt-8).
  13. Arkhamand what server are you on? I'll be online for the next few days (lucky me, work 4 get 3 off) and I dont mind logging a toon into your server to give you a hand figuring things out. Its always easier to explain things if I can look at what you have and show you what you need instead of just trying to type it out here.
  14. One thing a lot of you might not realize is, not all tank classes have the same skills for agro management. As a guardian I only have one group taunt, it last 6 seconds if Im not damaging the mobs and only 1 skill to damage the long range mobs. This skill has a long cooldown (1 minute ) so isnt always available when I need it. If I get 2-3 large pulls in a row I might feel its necessary to wait for that cd once in a while. Especially doing pugs when Im not comfortable with the healer or the dps's understanding that their job is to keep mobs from attacking the healer ( this is something MOST dps dont seem to understand).
  15. Personally I enjoy the challenge, as a healer it makes it way more of a challenge. As a tank I dont see much difference. Im sure as a dps you need to be on the ball a lot more. As a player right now Im getting pissed off at all the pugs who see it as a something they dont want to try and learn and leave group. Makes it hard to finish my dailies.
  16. Yup, all unlocked as well as every other unlock I can find. Im noticing this in other fp's as well as the czerka ones tho. This is why Im wondering about a nerf to my skills or if all 55 hm fp's got a buff.
  17. Im wondering if f2p nerfs your skills at 55? Ive been paying for a while now and just a few days ago (just before 2.7 came out) dropped down to prefered. Im not sure if something has been nerfed to my heals because of that or all the 55 HM fps are doing more damage since 2.7 I know the 2 CZ ones are doing more damage but are all of them as well? Does anyone know if there is a ninja nerf for f2p?
  18. First pull they released a bunch at the same time, even though someone said to do them 1 at a time. Second pull I was told not to heal, I wouldnt die from being attacked this way and the tank could take the damage. We all know how that worked out. Third pull they released them one at a time but did them one right after another. Even though I had told them to kill the blues they called me a newb and said I didnt know the mechanics ( I admit I cc'd a blue that was attacking me first pull but didnt have a choiced as I wanted to heal). They wanted to let the blue kill the red while they did nothing but attack the boss. Im assuming not once did they look at their health before releasing another pair.
  19. Ive healed this boss quite a few times with no trouble at all. Since 2.7 I cant keep up with the damage the adds do. I have a sage in 166 gear (average) and a inq in 168 (average). Ive only been playing the sage recently, and Im finding the damage the adds do is way more than I can keep up with, Ive had no problems healing DF,DP when low on healers so I feel I know what Im doing. By the time the third pair of adds come out people start dieing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Im pretty sure this has nothing to do with it but I dropped to prefered status this week, thought Id throw that in just in case.
  20. Might be a lot of people like me. Even though I play daily I didnt even hear about this dxp weekend till a few days ago. Wasnt sent any email notice about it, only reason I knew ahead of time was something about it on my client on startup.
  21. Hi everyone. Ive been playing the game for a while now and still enjoy it but its time to move on. Getting a bit bored with the limited end game and wont be playing enough to warrant paying the sub. Im wondering how viable f2p is at end game? What will I need to buy to run OP's and is it available on the gnt at a price I can pick up with the low amount of credits I will be forced to carry? Will I be able to run all the dailies for credits and is there a way to get past the low credit limit your allowed? Anything else I need to know about it?

  24. Thanks for the reply, sorry to say it doesnt help. I was with a group that completed it but I didnt get the quest update as I was outside the instance when the group completed it.
