  1. why do you want aric anyway? if you stuck a lump of coal up.... well, anyway, he's a rather boring, pedantic character.
  2. there's a difference between 'not being the best at anything' and 'being the worst at everything' and I also noted that you asked questions specifically designed to paint them as the worst. I can do the same. what healer-class is better at PvP ganking? which healer is better at dealing with overaggro? which PvE class is better at stealthing objectives? which stealth class has higher burst? which burst dps class is perfectly effective at laying on ranged damage if a boss is too dangerous for anyone but the main tank to melee? who heals the healer?
  3. of course I am, I am against PVP period. unless, somehow, they COMPLETELY detatched PVP from PvE. no gear crossover, no skill alterations, no 'balance issues' coming from pvp, and then I'd be all for it. pure PvE doesn't need class balance. it needs strong roles. If it were not for PvP, the empire would not be a mere 'mirror' of the republic. I don't have a problem with PvP per se, but I do have a problem with attempting to 'integrate' pvp with pve content.... it always leads to nerfs, bad feelings, periods of class brokenness, and an eternal, impossible, insane juggling act that cripples game development.
  4. well, I guess then you'd have to hit the flashpoint REALLY hard
  5. Nothing, I have seen 70 year olds having fun knitting and gossiping about orlando bloom. would bore me to death, but if it works for you, more power to you.
  6. I actually think that a lot of the tracer missile/grav shot whining is because folks dobn't realize that they really just got killed by that shot coming out of nowhere.
  7. don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.
  8. actually, I see a lot of these bugs reported by exactly the same people...random disconnections, graphic glitches, weirdisms with controls and stealth and ability activations, and I have to wonder if these things are connected somehow... i wish the OP would say what kind of chip is being used, video card, network connection (lan, wired, wireless) what ISP/type of connection is being used, and stuff like what sort of router is being used, and whether or not you are using a packet sniffer. I know that a ton of weird glitches in wow occurred due to a router configuration problem, or the fact that people were trying to cheat by using a packet sniffer/packet dropper. especially stealthers that were using packet droppers to 'rapid teleport' and force the server to help them kill people in PVP, due to dropped packet rules. you wouldn't be using an old piece of packet dropper software, would you? Something like netlimiter perhaps?
  9. There are a couple of bugs with stealth, But it is not 'completely broken'. I play an assassin and an op and have had great success using stealth many times. There are some bugs that should be addressed, but most of the complaints about stealth are a result of operator error, and not the mechanic itself. hint: don't try to restealth while you are getting hit by a DOT. It doesn't, and should not work. hint: remain operationally aware. if someone wanders across you while you are AFK'ed in a stupid place, you deserve to die. hint: there is no reason stealth should be a 'perfect defense', because it is already a near-perfect offense ability. It allows you to choose your targets for maximum destruction, and allows a greater measure of safety than nearly any other ability. It also can make you rich. I slice and can clear out an entire area stealthily in mere minutes with barely a fight or two, go back and do it again. and again. none of that junk about having to clear out mobs the whole way. the bugs should specifically be reported as individual bugs... but those individual situations by no means make for a 'completely broken' product. ::TL/DR version:: stealth has a few minor glitches, but otherwise it kicks butt.
  10. or you could like... play guild wars 2 instead.
  11. No, it's actually relevant. you are talking about making rakata etc. gear a lot cheaper in terms of time/action investment, since you will not be 'paying' for all the enhancements you are getting that are near useless. I think that the gear is already too easy to obtain, thus making high-level crafting even worse than it is. crafting post 50's needs to be addressed long before 'making high level raid/pvp gear easier to obtain' is even touched. but apparently I am not the only one making assumptions, here.
  12. I dunno, I like the planning out of attacks. it makes it feel more.... immersive. and uhh... guardians get worse at higher levels at 15, anyone can plow through mobs, no brain required.
  13. every game I have played that has it, has it as a default setting. I would rather there still be a little bit of investment to tweaking, and I like the amount of storage we have now... sharing that would dramatically decrease the amount of available space us altoholics have available.
  14. Dude, you need to seriously take a look at your priorities. Who the hell cares about bragging rights on an MMO? Did you know that, if you go up the stairs, past your dad's garage, and into the sunlight, there are strange, wonderful creatures out there that might want to have a date with you? Or, they might want to if your greatest thrill in life was NOT how leet you were and how much work you put into staying ahead in a virtual online world. I hate to say this, but those 'casual gamers' are the ones that are spending a LOT more money than you 'hardcores' to make a game like this possible. They are the ones working 40-60 hours a week, and outnumber you hardcores nearly a hundred to one. WITHOUT those 'mouth breathers', SWTOR would never even have been made, it would not have been profitable to do so. So let's try to keep your nerdrage in check, shall we?
  15. No thanks. It's kind of immersion-breaking. especially if you play both sides.
  16. I find the ship droid enormously jarring and incredibly irritating. cancel-subscription type irritating. I am playing a gods-darned sith lord, for pete's sake, what is preventing me from ripping the darn thing to pieces, honestly? It's not only immersion breaking, but it actively discourages me from having any interest at all in space fighting... because that would mean more time spent on the ship. The only thing that is as bad is that stupid, unstoppable Ambassador Saresh speech on Taris.... and at least, eventually, you can leave Taris forever.
  17. I understand that. I really do. Just like i have been playing MMO's for 20 years and I resist switching to keybinds instead of happy clicking. But...just because something is already set up a certain way doesn't mean that that's the best way.... come on, this game has been out slightly less than 3 months now, you cannot POSSIBLY be set enough in your ways that you cannot learn an easier method of doing the same stuff.
  18. Look, I understand, C3P0 was an endearing character voiced by anthony daniels. He was adorably twitty and did a lot to relieve the tension as a straight man for comic relief. But the ship droid. Oh gods the ship droid. PLEASE replace it with a nice, quietly beeping astromech, or at LEAST allow us to disable the voice. It is NOT endearing, it is NOT appealing, and it lost whatever comedic value it had after the very first ship tour. In point of fact, it is frankly irritating, infuriating, and distracting. I literally hate going on my cool ship specifically because of the damned 'anthony daniels clone' crap. I won't send ity on missions because of it's horribly irritating voice, and i hate the thing enough that it has made me seriously consider letting my subscription stop due solely to having to hear it or something similar on EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER please, disable the droid. destroy it. silence it. replace it. SOMETHING! it is a huge flaw in an otherwise appealing game.
  19. dude, way off topic. we are not talking about how good, bad, or ugly sentinels are, we are talking about whether or not a change reducing some of the mechanical goofiness is justified. If a mechanical change is suggested that reduces a sent's power, even I would be against it, and I am a strong supporter of simplifying the mechanics... but not at the cost of sent strength and what little utility they have. and no one is complaining about sent's dps, or ability to level/solo/pvp etc. Just it's mechanics.
  20. at Iamaretardedgoldseller.com buy thousands of credits for only 10 bucks! the minute I hear that posted in game I am done. It's common enough that precautions should have been in place before the game even launched.
  21. good point, it's not like each server is overflowing with people. I know on my server, someone that acts like a jerk usually cannot find a group anymore except for pugtards... everyone with a brain knows everyone else in a certain level bracket.
