  1. Okay I see you're now nitpicking words to try everything your power to turn this into a massive forum war. It was queue syncing which at the time had the exact same result as it does now. You would have group lead queue their side and assign an ops Lt to queue the other side. You all got on the same team which big shock with this revelation but it had the same result as it does now. React with less emotion next time and you won't need multiple posts explaining things that you should already know if you've done pvp this long.
  2. So I was wrong about when it happened. It's worse because it was already almost into 6.0. https://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/872018/game-update-5.9.2-galactic-legend. They made the matchmaking throw the two groups on opposite teams so one team didn't have an absurd amount of tanks and healers and I remember 2 regstar premade guilds dying within a week of these changes on SS.
  3. No you could literally queue as an ops group for pvp until mid 4.x. I could probably find the patch notes for it if you're done throwing your little temper tantrum for no reason.
  4. Nope it was here all the way into 4.x. You could queue an entire ops team and just waiting until both sides had a pop. Granted it was exploiting the queue system but it was still there for years before mmr. The devs are just saying f*ck it and abandoning pvp so they don't care if full guilds are queueing again. Eric Musco despises this games community and has for years. Killing this game would get him a position in another game which is what he wants.
  5. I don't fully agree with that. From launch all the way through somewhere in 4.x 8 man premades were super easy to form up. They were never the driving force of people leaving the game. But with all the bad decisions it's in people headlights now for a reason to $hit on the game. It's a valid reason but It's definately not the reason why the game is in a terrible spot. They're horrible for the health of pvp now because 98% of the people that could stomp the bad premades are gone.
  6. Bioware has already proved they can't give us a set number of stats character based with 7.0. They tried to give us class based gear sets and you couldn't even get the alacrity in pvp or accuracy in pve without pulling off some bizarre min/max. I said yesterday I think that it's a good idea, but the devs here don't know enough about the game to aim it in the right direction. Just look at the class changes they've been adding the past year or so. They're clearly clueless about how the game is even played now.
  7. From what I remember which is very vague since it was what 7 years ago? Was that gearing went from an absolute amazing experience to holy f*ck I never wanna play this game again, healing on everything but merc was a complete waste of time, ranked went from queued relentless to maybe 3 hours per night, regs turned into a number farm slaughter and they hired old man Keith which brought on Ossus which was somehow even worse then before. If we played a perfect mmo then absolutely this would be a great idea. But we don't and this games team isn't good enough to make such a heavy mechanic based system work. As we saw from 7.0 anything that greatly changes how the game is played will either straight up not work or break the game with endless bugs.
  8. 5.0 isn't really a great example of this kind of thing working. stats were out of control and skank tanks could nuke a person in half an opener. People were not "very happy with it". Most people in the pvp scene left the game because of how dreadful the gearing system was. People complained about abouyt stats and gearing then more then they do now.
  9. If bioware was in charge of handing out stats ap would be one shotting everything
  10. Let's assume that person is no lifing the game after work for 3 months. Playing 5-10 hours a night with an xp boost on and you're 80 in 2-3 days. Spam sm operations and flashpoints for tech frags to buy oem's which will get you about 10b+ in under a month, do one HM op for the 332 purple hyde and zeke quest and by golly you got yourself a min/max'd set of gear in under 3 months.
  11. This is probably the nail in the coffin. The only upside to 7.2 was that people who didn't normally queue (i.e gsf people, pve people) would queue and if you wanted to queue 4's you wouldn't be waiting 30 minute or waiting for prime hours. Most of those people that get farmed in 4's are decent at gsf so what do you think they're gonna queue for now? Have fun being in queue for an hour and a half again boys.
  12. They're not expensive to buy either. Last I checked they were under 100m on SF and you can sell one oem for more then that. So grind tech frags for a few days and you can afford to augment multiple sets of gear.
  13. I can actually vouch for that one. My friend and I always 1v1 between pops and when I had 74 augs he would completely obliterate me every single time. When I was finally able to afford 77 augs the fights were even and I would win most of them. They make a huge difference in how hard you hit and survivability.
  14. Actually during 5.0 8 mans were getting bad because people could easily queue sync as an ops team and just leave and requeue if they got on opposite teams. I'm pretty sure that's when they introduced the hidden elo to combat people doing that. So it makes even less sense to allow it now when they took a stance against it in the past.
  15. Except you won't drop out. You've been crying about pvp for days now because you don't have the emotional capability to just stop queueing for something that you're not good at. There's no shame in it I don't like pvp in most mmo's and suck at them. This is the only one I do well with. Just move on with your life.
  16. I never claimed I wasn't going to insult you bud. Your victim mentallity is that of a twitter user.
  17. I hate to break it to you bud but this isn't fleet chat. You're not gonna be bullying your way into people agreeing with you. So drop this little temper tantrum and stop pretending liek the world is out to get you. You're just embaressing yourself.
  18. I also haven't seen a single person insult you on this post. You're just being a big baby about a video game and you're getting hit with a reality check. You're literally the only one being toxic. People calling you out for terrible behaviour isn't being toxic it's not putting up with man babies.
  19. I'm kind of done expecting them to reply to criticism from this team. It's been nothing but them taking earth shattering L's for the past 8 years and they're not gonna turn the game around this far into their development careers. The game is in the worst spot population, class balance, economy and content wise it's ever been and nobody has a solution to it. All were getting are pointless dev streams of them talking about how excited they are to disappoint us with a flashpoint. I'm not even upset about it anymore I just think it's funny how unqualified all of them are in this industry.
  20. you could just like......not pvp. You're acting like you're being held at gunpoint to do it but you clearly haven't been having fun.
  21. Musco is the only person I remember from the early days. There was a guy from the coding team I played with sometimes that left the company a bit before 3.0 and from what he told me a lot of the bad decsisions came from the pvp/pve devs that they had at the time. Musco has always been more or less a glorified marketing manager. He's capable of coding and all that but it was never his job. Everytiem they've hired new people content gutting and grind fests have been added. Remember when they hired Keith?
  22. I honestly feel for the main faces of the company they don't call the shots they're just the public punching bags. Before launch they put everything into this game thinking they were part of something that was gonna be the top game on the planet only to be the joke of the mmo community. Sucks to be them that EA destroyed their brand but nobody is forcing them to work for bioware. They have more then enough experience to the point where they could probably make more money at another company but they stay on the sinking ship hoping every patch is a life raft.
  23. I still remember logging onto my original server one day and being the only person on fleet
