  1. Then the game is an epic failure. None of the choices actually matters anyway, your class is purely on rails all the way to the final class mission, no matter what choices you have picked. Been there and done that with 4 lvl 50's,1 lvl 43, 1 lvl 41 and 2 lvl 29's. Ignore my characters in my sig, I have not updated that in ages and seeing as I have unsubbed with today being my last day, it makes no difference.
  2. They could put some sandbox elements on a new planet, but of course I would not hold my breath on that one. I myself might come back some day, but leaving this game for me is partially finacial and partial game content related. The cost vs benefit is just not there, especially with the coming f2p model they are promoting.
  3. LOL, That was funny. I am out though, today was my last day, sub runs out at midnight.
  4. Yep, use your forums for what they are there for. NOT FREAKING TWITTER! Ssounds like the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Total disconnect from reality and its customer base at BioWare and EA. Either way, they announce that the maintenance was not going to be done, yet it is being done. Really? WTH BioWare, do you even have any inter-office communications? Who is running that place? Anyone?
  5. Nope, the new missions are also gifts. I sent 5 companions out on that 1 tier just to try and clear it and all the news ones that came after were more gifts. Seeing the same on my underworld trading on 2 toons also at tier 4.
  6. Yep agree, I don'y see a single new charater perk that I will spend a single credit on since it is not legacy wide. They are simply WAY TO HIGH IN PRICE for the pathedic bonus you get.
  7. YOu would seem to be alone in your opinion, for now at least. The character legacy perks are pathedic and many on my server are complaining ingame that the group finder tool is either very broken or just badly done and ranked WZ's are a disaster. I don't pvp myself, so WZ's dont matter one bit to me. Never have liked pvp in this game and never will. There are games out there that are F2P PvP's that blow SWTOR out of the water entirely as far as from a PvP point of view.
  8. /facepalm, need some more coolaide do we? J/K On fleet the lag is absolutely horrible and lots of disconnects that were not happening prior to transfers. Fleet usually has 200 on it and the other day, prepatch, I saw 300. Mega lag then. So your 100 is nothing I am afraid, tell us what its like when you see 200 at once.
  9. Agree The transfer have certainly helped the game for me. I know that is off topic, but was agreeing with the /facepalm on this subject of the thread. Only issue I am having with the game is the lag on the servers now. As well as lack of end game pve content, but thats another topic discussed elsewere.
  10. How about rest the case after this weekends prime time.
  11. Endgame content for me was the cause. I had never even herd of these guys until I saw the link in this thread. LOL Forbes Finacial also has a ton of negativity towards ToR as well and EA's stock is reflecting that fact. EA down another 4% again today. http://www.google.com/finance?q=NASDAQ:EA#
  12. What would be your opinion on the pop decline then? Cause and effect.
  13. Interesting Post / Artical on Forbes. Went up an hour ago. EA has management that simply does not understand the gaming community. That EA produces games, is entirely beside the point to their management. The games are simply a commodity that the company has to produce for their profit. Thus, all other details are secondary to projections of how many units can be sold, and the profit yield. If they stopped making games and produced pencil sharpeners tomorrow, it would be entirely inconsequential to EA management. This detached approach towards running an entertainment company, consistently leads EA to underperform against competition. They see marketing efforts as solutions to technical flaws and design inadequacies. In using Bioware, EA management found a kindred soul of sorts. Bioware’s “Doctors,” and game leads, felt their solution was infallible. At every stage, EA and Bioware both responded to criticism by refining and focusing marketing hype on what they thought would “sell” the game. If you expressed a negative point of view, you weren’t entitled to your opinion, you were simply wrong as they would say it. If you didn’t like an aspect of the game, you weren’t “playing it right.” SWTOR hasn’t failed, though it clearly has grossly underperformed compared to the hype. Evidently EA hoped they could market themselves out of trouble. You can track back two years to when the stock analysts first pounced on the game having issues. They shut-down their staff commenting, and moved aggressively to keep all public comments set per the internal marketing plan. That worked. Indeed, things were exceedingly smooth in presentation. But they never engaged critics, or tried to sway those who were skeptical. They only embraced and invited pro-SWTOR bloggers and those willing to publish ONLY what was approved, to any events and gatherings. I play SWTOR. I will keep playing it. I can afford that, and I have a sizable multi-game guild which I run, which keeps things lively. It is, for now, my Star Wars “fix.” But I won’t ever trust another EA backed MMORPG launch. Especially with their willingness to shut-down online games after they don’t feel they are profitable enough. They are now on par with Sony Online Entertainment for general incompetance. As for Bioware, 2012 is the year their sterling reputation was flushed down a toilet. Three duds within six months, and general derision within the gaming community. 14. I somewhat agree, except with the fact that the only reason people are leaving is because of server pop. The question is why was there a population drop in the amount we have seen in the first place? It cannot be discounted how much effect the end game content has hurt the game. Once that happened and the pop started to drop, that effected the entire game as far as people finding others to do content with, which made the issue even worse. Basically it caused a meltdown inside the community on a lot of servers.
  15. It's not pretty and you might be right about the writting on the wall. But at the end of the day it was needed for those of us who still play. I am hopefull that the game survives, but at the same time I have my reservations....kind of a 50/50 thing in that regards I guess.
  16. Actually, if you have registered a product that is recalled, they do inform you by email / letter that there is a recall.
  17. They should allow daily comms to drop in the zones for dailes like the planetary comms randomly do after a kill. Just only after level 50, so you cannot start getting any until you reach level 50. Only from say level 49 and up mobs. This would cut down some on the grind.
  18. It is not the first time they have done transfers, they did it when the asian market opened up for the game.
  19. Well anyone who logs into their character after they have requested a transfer or stays logged in when requesting a transfer, is not to bright IMHO. Just saying.....however I am still hughly disappointed in this game as a whole. So many features in other MMO's that should have been in this game from the start, especially after 6 years of development leaves them no excuse at all.
  20. Your failure to read and comprehend is equally as bad as you claim mine to be. They said gradual, sure. They knew what servers from and too also, yet failed to say which. Again read my post that you quoted. For anyone to claim that they did not know prior to this morning patch on what servers from and to that would be set for transfers is lying through there teeth.
  21. They knew before this mornings patch what servers and were to, to say they didn't is a lie. They knew and FAILED to say it in there forums or anywere else.
  22. Its not 20 servers. The origin servers are the ones in need of help. The destination servers have decent populations. 10 servers out of over what? 200 that have extremely low pops and that is just pathedic.
  23. Tweeting is not the way to keep most of your customer base up to date. Stop with the GD tweeting crap. You have forums, USE THE GD FORUMS NOT A TWEET!
