  1. This is all you had to say. This is your major problem. How do you expect to play decent? No wonder you are using your healer more. Healers can afford to be under geared cause all that is expected of them is to heal. You can't expect to quest on a level 40-43 planet with you in maybe level 36 blues and your tank or dps companion in your hand me down level 30 gear. You should run into problems and should expect it. Diminishing returns apply to companions as well. When I upgrade my gear for a new planet I make damn sure which ever companion I'm using is at least just as geared as I am. BTW, I hate the healing companions. I usually roll with range dps or range tank. When geared proper, these companions are beasts.
  2. I'm kind of skeptical of BW resolve to stop this problem. On my RP-PVP server that players are being transferred off of, the pubs on that server were blatantly hacking nearly every pvp match I was in and others in my guild. I don’t know how many times we reported hackers and nothing was ever done to stop the abuse. I wonder sometimes if some of hackers are associated with BW. That would explain why some servers have hackers that are banned and others are left alone. There is evidence of BW reps abusing their powers. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4472438#post4472438
  3. A simple solution to the flimflam way BW did Legacy Perks. Once you unlock a legacy character perk, by obtaining the correct legacy level or paying a fee (not both), you're then able to give that perk to any character in your legacy. However, you’ll be limited to how many perks per category you can give a family member. Example: Advancement – Select a maximum of 10 boxes Travel – Select a maximum of 6 boxes Companion – Select a maximum of 5 boxes Convenience – Select a maximum of 4 boxes You can then allocate the perks by doing the following. • You start out with your family tree in a side bar. • From there you drag the icon of the family member into the main window. • Using the maximum number of boxes from the above, you just drag them on your character in the main window. • There should also be a summary of the skills that character has. • When you’re done giving that character skills, just click a commit button and poof you’re done. Of course you will allow everyone to respec their characters similar to the skills respec.
  4. I think its bad planning and shows a bit of the desperation BW finds itself in. Because for 6 months BW main claim was that Legacy = all characters on a server. Now, legacy means whatever BW can pull out of their rumps to make you grind as if we were in a Korean mmo.
  5. I couldn't agree more. This whole issue show just reinforces the fact that BW is ridiculously out of touch with swtor community and the mmo genre. Noobs will be noobs in all aspects of gaming
  6. Overall, I think BW took a couple of steps back with 1.3. I rate it as -2
  7. Legacy Perks is such a scam it would make Bernie Madoff proud. Up til now most legacy unlocks have been legacy wide. Basically you buy it once and it unlocks for all your characters. It's a system that worked really well and I like most people have gotten use to it. With 1.3 BW decides that all Legacy Perks only unlocks for the character that purchases it. Whats the purpose of it all if you have a lot of alts? BW even admitted that its difficult to earn just a million credits. Yet they make a system that requires you to earn multiple millions of credits to fully enjoy the perks. I thought Legacy Perks was a great idea until I read the small print. What a scam...
  8. When you put it that way...I guess I zone out because it doesn't seem all that bad for me. I for one would hate to be instantly zoned onto the planet's questing area. I would be like "W..T...F Bioware!! How did I get here? Did I fall from my ship? Did Scotty beam me down?!1!!!?/ Talk about breaking immersion!! Ugh"
  9. Now maybe people will understand. When someone is talking about textures they mean this.
  10. That website other than this are writing about Hi Res textures not available in the live game? Who looks dumb?
  11. The outside world is starting to hear about our displeasure with the muddy textures Bioware launched the game with and the deceptive advertising it continues to deploy to mislead others into purchasing the game. Use this thread to post or discuss articles you have seen outside of this site. Kotaku Gamefront Gamebanshee Curse Gamesradar There is another on mmo mfg but I can't link it due to the language filter.
  12. This game is not optimized for multiple cores over two. This is especially true if you're running with a AMD cpu. For the short term, until you get more ram, let swtor only have access to two of your cores. You should notice a performance boost.
