  1. Had a problem with forcepull in huttball, where it looks like the person kind of just stutters forward a bit, rather than flies through the air to me.
  2. Nice imaginary fact. What I said was I'm better off getting BM gear, and that the recruit gear would mean lower main stats. Think---if I'm going to get BM gear anyway, having the recruit gear won't serve much of a purpose. What is the point stating the obvious? A blind man knowns that BM is better than recruit. But Recruit is better than any peice with zero expertise on it. Actually those who whine about it are relatively few. This is probably because we will be inspecting you, and thinking, "oh damn, another know-it-all coming to have a go, let him get on with it, we will try to enjoy ourselves despite his selfishness in being a self imposed weaklink to the team." I personally have given up even trying to convince people it is in theirs and their teams best interest to maximise their expertise to whatever they can Naturally I should wear whatever boosts my stats, not lowers them. Based on my choices at the moment, though, getting the BM gear makes the most sense. If I were close to getting gear that was better than BM gear (no I'm not saying high-end recruit gear is, but obviously there's even better gear), there'd be no point spending it all on the weaker gear. No. Naturally, within a PVP environment, you should wear whatever gear boosts your expertise, period. Remember, PVP is not about 1 vs 1, it is team Vs team. A recruit geared person can do little damage to a WH geared person, but he can annoy the healer, he can help guard objectives, take part in huttball etc, it is not about killing people one V one.
  3. Actually, you should take the credits if you are a regular PVPer. You will of already saved 3500 ranked warzone comms and 2000 normal comms, so can get 4 BM pieces the moment you hit 50. You can then fill in the gaps by buying recruit pieces. You will then have some spare cash left over, rather than having 4 redundant pieces of recruit gear. The recruit gear option, rather than the cash token is really only for PVE players wanting to have a go at PVP, enabling them to be at least more competitive than wearing their Rakata gear.
  4. As a fully defence specced guardian, in war leader armour, I found it fine to be honest. My dps output is down somwhat, but it was hardly awe inspiring before. I play as I believe the class is meant to be played, and so far, the changes are not affecting that concept for me.
  5. Disagree. I find the new animations much more "realistic" and less Wizard like.
  6. The bottom line is this. In no way, shape or form, should I be able to dictate how fast a WZ pops for you. Unless I am paying more per month, we should all have the same opportunity to play. If I don't want your class in my group, chances are, other people wont either, so why should you be the unlucky person, who rolled a class that in general people don't want, be punished by waiting longer? What is wrong with letting us queue on groups of any size, so we can choose what classes to take, we might be left with 2, 3 spaces for randoms, but that's the position you are in if your guild has fewer than 8 online at any one time. Let the solo queue people jump into the first avaiable spaces, or give them an option to choose whether to do that at least.
  7. No. I know, how about we ban stealth too? While we're at it, let's ban healing too! In fact, lets just all spec DPS and run around hitting each other as hard as we can, for as long as we can! We don't need diversity of class, we all want to be DPS clones who sometimes struggle taking down well guarded healers.
  8. Whilst this makes a lot of sense for PVE, I don't think it would create a fair model in PVP for some players. If you do queue in 1's, 2's etc then you are entitled to enter a WZ when it pops, despite what class you are. Your ability to enter the next available warzone, should not be dependant on whether or not, I want your class in my group. See what I am saying? They would of been far better served, giving us the option to queue with 5's, 6's, 7's and 8's, giving you total control over what classes you take along, and above all, what players you choose to actually run a given WZ with. If we only have 6 people online within our guild at one moment, why should we have to take 4 randoms along, when we could get away with 2? It would be nice to be able to avoid PUGs as much as possible, the random factor of who you get, now that servers have larger, more diverse populations, is making WZs a lottery. I have no problems at all, with people queuing solo etc taking priority on WZ pops either.
  9. With all due respect, being able to press buttons on a keyboard, no matter how many, and different orders, hardly constitutes as a skill anyway.
  10. I actually ended up doing this on my defence specced guardian yesterday. Went to grab west on Novare, got attacked only once throughout the whole game, was stun locked throughout the whole fight, but had called for help, who arrived and killed the stealthers. Once this was over, sat there for 10 minutes doing nothing, ended up with about 5 medals.................did ZERO damage. Did I enjoy it, hell no! However, it is a job that needs to be done, though I will be continue to avoid doing said job again.
  11. Currently, you PVE players who want to PVP casually, have the opportunity now to buy gear to set you on the path to WH. For those of us, who only PVP, and really dislike to PVE, the system is fine as it is.
  12. Excellent post, well informed and above all, human.
  13. Whilst I agree in principle, people do start to lose patience when people don't listen to the advice they are given, and simply run around like headless chickens, doing their own thing. Yes, people can play as they please, we all pay the same, but oh my god, i really cannot wait until we can queue with more than 4 people from our guild.
  14. What makes things unbalanced are inept players.
  15. It always comes down to that point because in an MMO, people want/need/crave individuality for their toons. Remember, this is meant to be a RPG....Roleplaying......, not a hack n slash FPS. I want my toons to be as different as humanly possible to yours. Bioware are far from getting that point anywhere near the mark. We are all pushed down 1 of 2 routes, with all the same skill sets within a possible 3 trees. There is only a small amount of individuality within the game. With that said, why make things even more the same? Again, I could see your frustration if you were permanently stuck at level 20, but you are not. The 1-49 bracket is in a constant state of flux, with only a handful or actual, real, new players in it. Most of the players are people with existing 50's rolling alts. I hate to say it again, but 1-49 really does not matter, it is where you learn how to play the skills you are constantly being given, seeing if things work the same in PVP and they do in PVE etc, and again, saving up your comms. It really serves no other purpose other than being hilarious fun, win or lose, it is just a bit if fun that people run in between doing their dailys/weekly on their L50 toons.
  16. You know, I could almost understand your frustrations if it took ages to level a character and you were stuck in the 1-49 bracket for months on end. It is unfeasibly simple and fast to level here. 1-49 PVP is merely a place to stack your WZ comms so you can equip yourself efficiently at L50. I suspect what we are seeing here, are PVe players, wanting to "have a go" at PVP, and I am all for that, the more the merrier, we need queues. How would PVE players feel if I asked for equality in skills, endurance, main stat etc so we can all go and run some Nightmare Ops together? I assume you would begin by telling me to go grind some Columni and progress through some simple HMs?
  17. So essentially you are saying that you want all classes, players to be the same ? If not, that is certainly how you and others are coming across. FPS time again I think.
  18. Absolutely. We all have low level characters and high level characters. Besides my L50's, my highest toon is L32 now, and is by your reckoning disadvantaged. I also play my L17 Sawbones, she dies all the time, she is easy to kill, but I accept that and know that at some point, she will have the upperhand due to her skill tree etc developing.
  19. What you are essentially asking for is a Call of Duty style Shoot em up game, where all things are equal and player reactions/ skill, better quality mouse, faster internet speeds, play a part in being successful. This is an MMO. Progression, whether it be via inherant class skills, gear, titles or any one of a thousand other shiny things dictate to some people, their skill. In an MMO not everthing can be fully balanced, there has to be differentiation between classes, levels, skills groups etc, otherwise we might as well all play the same class. I actually am failing to grasp your point about recruit gear, I have no trouble on my mainly recruit geared shadow. I do what I need to in order to help win games. Yes, she dies like crazy if she ends up 1 to 1 with a full WH geared Sniper, but so what? PVP is not about winning 1 v 1, it is about being useful for your team. i will also state again, you can have 4 BM peices the moment you hit 50, add to them recruit bits and you have around 900 expertise, more than enough to be useful.
  20. People have to start somewhere. Unfortunately MMOs mirror society in general, where people are not prepared to "pay their dues". I want everything and I want it now!!
  21. In what way ? Recruit gear is a far better concept than the old pre 1.2 method, centurion, champion progression. Grinding for weeks to get 1 BM piece was no fun, now you can have 4 BM pieces the moment you hit 50, using recruit pieces to fill in the gaps, you are infinately more competitive than previously.
  22. Nobody really cares about 1-49, it is just a means to an end, levelling to avoid having to do the same pve quests 8 times. What the game actually needs is more Warzones, not more brackets.
  23. i would of thought it more laggy 1-49 due to he bolster script ?
  24. They have it much better with recruit gear than when I hit 50, grinding centurion and champion peices and opening BM boxes only to find nothing of use. At least now new 50's are not completely useless. If they have bothered saving comms from the sub 50 bracket, in theory you can have 5500 WZ comms stashed, giving you a few BM pieces straight away, adding in recuit for the missing bits gives you around 900 expertise. If they did not save, full recruit gives around 800 expertise. Compare that to the old days, people with 600-700 expertise whiping the floor with new 50's with zero expertise, and no way of getting it, other than grinding and dying. My shadow runs in full recruit with BM weapon, she was my 1st toon and I never PVPd until my second character was born, and yes, she is super squishy, to be fair I play infiltration, which is probably the king of squish, but you can still be useful in WZs. Sure, I cant rack up big damage total, but I can harrass healers, interupt capping, stealth cap stuff, success is not all about kills and medals, it is about winning the WZ, period. i actually enjoy the challenge of being crap and undergeared on that particular toon, it's a fun sideline and very different to the automatic medal farming of healing and guarding.
