  1. Because it isn't worth grinding through all the other quests I've done already just to occasionally read new text (class story). It was great the first time because I hadn't seen all the "normal" non class quests before. Now I have. So now it's like telling yourself "I have this book here I want to read, but I'm going to force myself to do jumping jacks for 20 minutes before reading each page" Meanwhile you can just go on youtube, skip all the grinding of old content you did before, and just watch the entire class story there if that's what you're playing for...and you can do it without killing 10 space boars again.
  2. Don't worry, it's just bad players. Why would a team complain when they went from having 4 people to having 5? Even if they don't like mercs it's not as though you were taking up a valuable spot over the perceived more valuable classes. Others obviously weren't in the queue to fill the team.
  3. Lack of objectives/character progression from doing world pvp turn enough people away that the remainder that don't care cannot find sufficient targets to fight against.
  4. It's okay to disregard twileks because they don't have feelings.
  5. The main thing I got from this is that someone should create a swtor webcomic called "mr aim hat juggernaut" and document his wacky adventures.
  6. It's another way to pvp when you get tired of grinding the same warzones. It doesn't have to be a replacement, you can do both. I like warzones and queue for them a lot. I still get bored standing in the fleet sometimes and if I had the option to do world pvp I would go do that some also..
  7. Well 4 v 4 queues would mean more people playing really. I would figure that frustrated pvpers that don't login much since they can't get a WZ going for hours would login more if they knew they would at least get 4 v 4s. And by virtue of more of them being on, knowing this was in place, you'd end up filling the warzones more often for 8 v 8 besides. Not a bad idea at all. The gameplay in some warzones with only 4 v 4 would be questionable I think, but pops are better than no pops.
  8. On an 8 man team I'd want a couple DPS powertechs AND marauders.
  9. Two new huttball arenas. Three more warzones (in addition to the new huttball arenas) Raise in legacy level cap, LOTS of new legacy options that are a mix of purchased, unlocked, or gained through just having a really high legacy level. Throw plenty of fluff in too, just lots of options. Can be many little things. more legacy TRAVEL options! Legacy teleport options that work like the fleet pass with long cooldowns, but take you to some other planets for hanging out/RP/fun/leveling etc. Raise valor level cap to 120 just for fun. Add lots of fluff items that can be purchased if you have appropriate valor requirements. (cosmetic, toys, mounts etc, lots of fluff). New flashpoints and operations of course. Rather than add several new planets spreading people out, add more content to existing planets for now. New planets can come further down the line. Some more class story, chapter 4. Raise level cap to 55. All cross server features for both PVE grouping and PVP. Some fun new minigame (I'd leave it up to them) that people could mess around with in the fleet. Nar shaddaa sponsored gambling?
  10. There is this http://www.darthhater.com/articles/swtor-news/20452-darth-hater-interview-game-update-1-3-with-swtor It's not much, but in there is a blurb about them still working on ranked warzones right now. At least it's not scrapped, anyway.
  11. Unfortunately the main feeling I get from this is "SWTOR has made some money, might not make as much as we hoped but it did alright." and then on to bigger and better things that matter, since this game doesn't. I don't get any feeling of urgency whatsoever to address community issues or even communicate period. Like they've thrown in the towel and will now just operate in maintenance mode and maybe an update once in a while...when they feel like it.
  12. Has been posted several times in the past, with approval from most. One of my ideas was that you get 5 social points at the end of a WZ for voting for an MVP. Not 5 social for each person that votes for you, just 5 social for the act of voting for someone.
  13. As soon as people attack the healer and start noticing how fast you drop when they see big juicy numbers flying off of you, you're going to get focused and hammered. You won't get anywhere near enough time to bridge the gap with theoretically stronger heals, since your time to live is going to be dismal when 3+ people single you out for the quick kill every time you leave the spawn gate. You'll end up getting just stunned and then dropped. They'll remember it for the next game too.
  14. This is easily noticed in huttball. Get your 8 medals and win a 6-0 in 5 minutes or something, you'll end up getting like 110 comms. If I remember right, there's more to it than that though. Devs even stated that you'll be rewarded more when your team does better, and that doing things like intentionally letting the other team in civil war win would be a bad idea. This bears out in my experience: I've had several games of voidstar now where both teams made it to the datacore. One team (the losing team) made it pretty late, 10-30 seconds left on the clock. Us (the winning team) would make it to the datacore lets say 30 seconds faster than them. Then we're awarded 115 comms or something like that. After getting 8 medals and after being in the game nearly as long as you can be...well minus maybe 60-90 seconds. So your performance in relation to the other team...AS WELL AS how long the game lasts, may figure in.
  15. You don't need to pick and choose between warzones and open world pvp. We should have both. We DID have both. All they really needed to do was make some tweaks to ilum. Though how they thought the engine would work with mass scale, I don't know. REALLY wish they were using something other than Hero engine. I don't know what the incentive was to use it AT ALL.
  16. Challenge accepted!
  17. I'm continually impressed by how many marauders don't even use cloak of pain. I mean they'll have been standing around guarding a node/door or something alone, I know they have it off cooldown. I go and attack them intending to claim the node and it never gets used. Then when they're low they don't use undying rage either.
  18. This is pretty iffy. Concealment really needs acid blade if you're going deep in the tree, else it loses what opening burst you have and then there's just not a whole lot going on. Better off doing this with lethality than concealment.
  19. NO ONE can stun like a team of stunlocking operatives. They have stunlocking right in the team name so you know they're good at it. What's even worse is that talent in concealment that gives backstab a 2% chance to automatically delete the target's account info.
  20. Problem is when they don't give ETAs, they take it too far and insinuate they aren't even working on whatever the feature is (which they very well might not be). They'll say things like "Nothing is off the table" and "It is being considered" as though it's some idea they maybe might get to in the future if they feel like it. I want to hear things like "As we speak, we are working on implementing cross server warzones. As we get closer to release of this feature we will have more information". No ETA, but at least it's definitely coming. That's the kind of statement that would give people some confidence they are listening to and addressing community issues.
  21. I was last billed on April 14th, My next payment is due on June 16th. So I got the free month as I was supposed to. I haven't played around with unsubbing/resubbing or anything like that, have been subbed the whole time.
  22. It would be a really bad idea and would drive people away, but true it'd deffinitely be briefly fun for the 50s =P. With how much more powerful expertise is at adding a damage % and reducing damage% now vs pre 1.2, 50s would absolutely HAMMER pre 50s now. They did before but it'd be just flat out ridiculous now. Course that could be remedied a fair bit by having bolster give you expertise. Sure they'd still get curbstomped but it wouldn't be "a level 50 just soloed our entire team at mid in novare coast" type of curbstomping =P.
  23. It doesn't even need to be that severe. They could just drop down to half of what they have and it'd likely be enough. There's a significant amount of people right now, who are still subbed, that don't play much because they can't get anything going. Those people want to play and haven't QUITE given up yet, but probably will soon. You figure a more populated server will get those people back and playing more regularly too...thus making their server more populous since they are now online. There'll be enough to fill a good amount of servers still. Just not near what they have going right now. In fact they'd probably get a fair amount of resubs too, which certainly would help.
  24. Should take a nod from WoW on this one. It's clear what SWTOR does right now. It wants to make an 8 v 8, so it gives 8 people in the queue the queue pop. Other people don't get it (on that faction anyway). The game won't pop the queue for anyone else unless/until one of the people it did pop for either lets their dialog box time out...or they enter the WZ and quit (freeing up a spot). It should pop the box up for everyone in the queue and then once the first 8 people click the box, it goes away for the rest. Then if someone quits, it pops the dialogue box again for everyone and lets the first person that clicks it go in and fill the spot. Rather than this business of having exactly 1 minute to click the button, with your spot "reserved" for you while you take your sweet time clicking it or not. Not foolproof (WoW had imbalanced battleground pops too) but it definitely works a hell of a lot better.
  25. If you play out a full game and get 8 medals, but lose, you end up getting like 85 comms or something. Really isn't that bad.
