  1. Well I have been looking at BHs for a while now and have been considering making one-specifically a Shield Spec Powertech (Tank spec I believe). However, there are some things throwing me off making one- Aesthetics. The ship looks...meh. I can look past this, but does it look that bad? What about the interior? Blaster pistols-I understand why they have them, but are there any out there with a longer look to them? I small blaster looks..weird. If it has at least a longer stock/barrel, I can live with it. Are there any that fit this description? Body type-2 or 3? I've seen armors in both, and 3 looks better for most of the armors, but carrying that small little pistol with a type 3 makes it look like a toy gun...unless one pistol has a longer stock/barrel maybe? Thats about it otherwise, any help with the above is appreciated! Thanks!
  2. Times have changed since then, but yes they are still viable. I cannot speak for 50s PvP, but in the 1-49 bracket, I find no trouble getting 8-10 medals+doing 75k-100k damage as a Vengance Jugg (and thats in Soresu form to!). I would reccomend you get to know your class again, since over 3-4 months the game has gone through some changes. I would also get some Battle Master gear, and work your way up from there to War Hero. Good luck!
  3. Synthweaving has another plus as well-you can Augment your own stuff (granted it binds it to you) and you can make augmented stuff=profit.
  4. I believe thats either War Hero gear or Black Hole gear, but most likely Black Hole gear obtained through Black Hole commendations.

Did you pick up the quest? Its right when you come out of the Korriban shuttle place, some sith dude. Then you go to a guy named Lord Kyrin (something like that) and get your AC...maybe you missed the quest when coming in?
  6. Yeah, I know about that about but I'm looking at it from a story stand point mostly. I have no problem with companion romances just wondering primarily from a story standpoint and if its more or less interesting than the DS story, which is essentially, kill, go, kill, go.
  7. Well I've gotten to 15 on my Sith Jugg, and have been making DS choices all the way. However, for some weird reason, I decided to raise my affection with Vette, to about 5k. However, every time I make a DS choice, I tend to lose a good amount of affection. I may gain 45 through out a conversation, then I choose a DS option and BAM -40 affection or something. I may want to romance her, but there's also DS Jaesa and I've heard LS Jaesa is just a whiny little ***** while DS Jaesa is much more interesting. So, should I just continue as DS (as I always go DS on Empire, LS on Republic) or just do a course correction to LS? I know it would take a few BT runs, and I've got 2500 DS right now, which should be easily fixable right? Or should I just continue down the DS? I've heard LS story is quite interesting which is nice, but I've also heard it doesn't always make sense. I've played the story up until Hoth as DS, and am just on Dromund Kaas so I have a fresh start on the story. Mostly looking at a story perspective, but companion romance is important as well. TL;DR Should I switch from DS to LS? Thinking about romancing Vette, and have heard LS story is fairly interesting. How do I best convert to LS if I do so? Should I?
  8. As title says, I need a spec that is good for leveling, and decent for PvP. I like Guarding people, (free medals) but Immortal is a really slow leveling spec. I'm working my way up Vengence tree right now using Soresu form, but its feeling a bit slow. Is there a particular build I should be using? Level 15 ATM. All help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  9. I usually do all the quests on any given planet. That includes story missions, side missions, as well as the bonus quests (kill x enemies, collect x objects, etc.). I also do maybe 1 or 2 heroics per planet (except for starter planets and capital worlds). You said your computer does not support WZs, but I'm sure Heroics of at most 3 other people+yourself shouldn't be an issue. With those, you should at least be the correct level, or even 1 or 2 levels above. Hope that helps!
  10. I've now boiled it down to two-Juggernaut and Marauder. In terms of Utility, which offers more to the group? I know (from experience with my Sent.) that Mara's can give small heals via Beserk, movement speed via....the mirror of Transcendence skill, and like 15% boost in damage/heals via that final skill (name escapes me). On top of that, there's the pure DPS they provide. It seems they are glass cannons, but can be somewhat sturdy ones? I know Juggs have great survivability, and decent DPS, plus they can Tank, so more easy to get into Ops and such (especially using the new group finder) as far as I can tell. I know that they can easily hold Nodes off as well as long as a healer is present. I want to be useful in PvP and PvE, while still actually be able to be good at both! I'm gonna make a Mara to test all this out as well, but any answers are appreciated as well!
  11. Well I come from a Balance Sage so I'm used to DPSing. But, in terms of Utility, which offers more to the group? I know (from experience with my Sent.) that Mara's can give small heals via Beserk, movement speed via....the mirror of Transcendence skill, and like 15% boost in damage/heals via that final skill (name escapes me). On top of that, there's the pure DPS they provide. It seems they are glass cannons, but can be somewhat sturdy ones? 12. Well I got my SW to 10, and now have been thinking of what AC to pick. I had a Jugg on my old server, and it was pretty fun and PVP was fairly decent, averaging 5-8 medals, with good games giving around 10-12. I also have a Sent., which can easily hit 8 medals per game, and 10-12+ on good games. Now, I'm stumped. I want to go Jugg, but Mara seems so good as well. Don't see many Juggs in PvP either....Mara's have a lot of key binds which is my only issue with them, but Juggs bring a lot of utility to field as they can Tank....so which one do I pick? I'm torn both ways, but leaning for Jugg....big issue is PvP but it can be overlooked because story is good....so what do I do? I'm gonna go mostly Vengance on Jugg and if Mara probably Anni spec....Need help asap! Thanks!
  13. Well I was considering making a Marauder as an Alt, (Since I do poorly in PvP as a Juggernaut) and had a few questions. First and foremost, key bindings-how difficult is it to keep everything going? I have a 25 Sent, and its difficult for me to stay alive for long and seems I can barely do anything anymore....but I come from playing my Sage so thats probably why. So is it easy to manage all the key bindings? I've got a 3 button mouse (mouse wheel, 2 buttons on the side, not including left/right mouse buttons) so that can confortably be 6 bindings (Mouse button 3/4/5, Alt+Mouse button 3/4/5). I can also use the E, R, F, C, V keys and Alt+ E, R, F,C. For some buffs, I can feel confortable to use 2 and 3, plus Alt+2, 3. Other things become a hassle....so how difficult is it later in the game, taking 50s specifically. Secondly, leveling spec. I was leveling my Sent as a Watchman Spec, but I've heard mixed reviews about Carnage and Anni specs. Which one will get me the fastest leveling while keeping up good damage and fair survivability in PvP (not to concered with PvE, since I'll have Quinn). Also, which body type is better? I've seen upper level Mara gear that looks very similar to Jugg gear, and looks quite awesome on Body Type 3, but 2 is kinda small. Yet, I feel Mara's are made for type 2....any opinions here? And what provides more interesting story-DS or LS? I had a Jugg with 8.3k DS points, and I basically killed anyone in my way, but it got repetative. Does LS offer more interesting story, or just stick with mostly DS? Thanks!
  14. Still really conflicted....down to mostly Sniper and Juggernaut... How long do Juggs take to become "powerhouses" in PvP? I had a 38 one on my old server, and when I went to go play him again I got torn apart....still managed to get around 7 or 8 medals barely due to Defender/Attacker points, and Guarding points mainly....but I heard that Vengance Juggs and Rage Juggs rock at PvP so no guarding there.... Sniper has been good, but again with the whole cover thing....are Ops any better? I may give them a whirl to see, but don't know yet.... Right now its 50/50 for Jugg/Sniper. I know I can level up without PvP but all of my characters I've made thus far on my current server always did PvP until Valor=Level, so that really gave me a leveling boost. Don't know what I'd do without it TBH now.....but its still up for debate....
  15. Well I'm willing to look past the looks of Double Bladed sabers, and as for Juggernauts in PvP maybe I just sucked at it....willing to give it a shot just because story was really good. As for Sniper, it really depends on the story and such because in PvP he can own....so Sniper, Sin, Juggernaut are the choices I guess. (Again Marauders were to many key binds and keeping like 10 skills going at once so.....)
  16. Well now that my Sage has gotten Legacy unlocked, I decided now would be a good time to make an Alt. It would be a daily switch, so I would play Sage, Alt, Sage, Alt, etc. That way I get rested EXP on both to make my life a bit easier. I'm stumped on what character to make though. On my old server I had a Sith Juggernaut but after trying PvP with it, I sucked horribly at PvP (maybe i just sucked), but his story was awesome. As for Marauder, I disliked the play style of my Sent, and ended up quitting him, because of having to manage a ton of skills and such, so thats out. I did make a Sniper and got it to 11 and rocked at PvP, but I guess the play style was a bit weird being rooted to one spot all the time. Never tried Op, but moving around so crazily feels weird. I have a Sage, so a Sorc would be like a repeat, but with different story, but play style would be almost the same. Assassin looks cool, but I'm not to much a fan of Double Bladed Sabers. I'm not interested in BH right now, so thats out for now. TL;DR Basically, these are my choices Sith Juggernaut (PvP was bad for me, (maybe I just sucked) but story was awesome) Sniper (PvP rocked, but being rooted in one place felt weird) Sorc/Sin (Sorc would be familiar territory, Sin new thing but don't like double bladed sabers much) Thanks!
  17. I'm running with the Muse set, and looks very nice all white, not "Girly" at all
  18. at 31, i was freaked out when i saw him. it took me 2 tries because i forgot to inturupt his force crush. inturupt it, and the fight becomes cake with Qyzen.
  19. Well I have a Sage, which is almost and Inq, and I don't think the story sucks tbh, and the SI story, as far as I've played was kinda interesting. Plus, the SW story gets way good later on. In short, I think go with SI if your having a lightsaber craving.
  20. TBH, I don't see what people complain about. While its true that its not action packed, its still fairly interesting. I'm only about to hit Tatooine, but I so far have actually enjoyed the story. I would just give it a shot, and if you don't like, then just don't play it! The play style of my Balance Sage is also awesome.
  21. After playing a Counselor for myself, I can actually see how Nolan North fits into the role, but I'll admit its not his greatest work. IMO, he should have done the Smuggler so that he could go a bit more like Nate Drake or something, but overall i'd give it a 8 /10, which is not bad.
  22. I am having a dilemma I have had in every MMO I ever played-I can't stay on one class! Currently, I have a 24 Sentinel and an 11 Vanguard. I really just want to stick to one and get him to 50. I can't decide on which one though! On my Sent, I'm having many issues with one thing-key binding. I do now have versatile hands enough to be able to hit Shift+Key immediatly following a normal key press, and find that I am less able to pop the correct skills at the correct times (for example, instead of Force Leap-->Overload Saber, I pop Rebuke and end up dying fast) I also find it difficult to move about while doing all this. It's only getting harder and harder as more and more skills find a place on my quickbars. However, when I do actually execute it all correctly, I find great success in PvP and PvE. The Vanguard has no real issues except for the lower level and not as great DPS/PVP as Sent, although I have had several games where I turned out on top of the charts. Long story short, I really just wanna get to 50. Help??
  23. Well I decided to start my Trooper back up. He was around 28 ish before, and was a Vanguard. I remade him, and now he's level 10. I'm currently stumped on Vanguard vs Commando. I am familiar with Vanguards already, but Commando's not so much. I like the fact that I can heal myself, but I've never been a group healer, and that could cause issues in groups. Even as DPS specced, it seems people still (and this is only natural, nothing wrong with it) expect you to heal them. I'm really bad with group related healing, and am more for a DPS build with a Commando. This problem doesn't exist as a Vanguard, as guarding people is much easier for me. I'm actually used to little movement, but not just stuck in one spot type thing. Are Commando's viable in PvP? What about PvE? Are they easier or harder to play/level than the Vanguard? I'm really leaning on Vanguard right now, but it could either way. Also I feel I should mention I'm not to big a fan of the big Autocannon BFG style weapon.....but that could change. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  24. My Sent. is currently level 24, Watchman specced. In this regard he's fine, and up until around 20 ish I was fine as my key bindings existed within the first bar, and 1 side bar. However, as I am progressing in levels, more and more skills seem to be dropping into my bars. I really need some help with key binding! I play on a laptop keyboard with a full Number pad, with a 3 button mouse. My mouse's buttons are maxed out to 3, and my keyboard is quickly filling up. I use the ALT+Key thing, and currently these are the keys being used, on top of using the ALT+Key thing for all of these keys. Q W E R T A S D F G Z X C V B I usually keep my left hand towards these keys, while my right hand stays at the mouse. I find myself using skills when I don't mean to use them, or not using a skill when I should have used it. Slowly, its becoming more and more overwhelming. Its managable so far, but in PvP it gets a lot hard as I have to keep moving while hitting my CDs and such. Is there a way to ease my stress a bit? Can't afford a nice gaming mouse, so I have to make due with what I have. Any and all help is appreciated, as are fast responses so I don't screw up again! Thanks!
  25. So I'm not the only one begging for one off Infinity Gate! Thats a relief....
