Definetly worth it. My old server was dead, haven't logged in at all for a month because it was impossible to play a WZ. Now on Nadd life is a lot better, I can play WZ anytime - even at odd times in the morning and queues are max 5 min long. Last night there were over 600 people on fleet, which gives me a real MMO feeling compared to my old server where even when it was still alive there were never more then 50. I had 7 days left before transfers, now just bought another month

Afaik these 3 servers are the most populated PvP servers except Nadd so my bet would be one of them will be a destination, and the other 2 origins, so we have 2 EU PvP servers left, not just Nadd.

I had my character name reserved, but I lost my legacy. The Widowmaker legacy was so cool

Probably 4 EU servers (Red Eclipse + Freedon Nadd + the german and the french one) and 4-5 US. In my opinion this is a good thing, I would rather have everyone play on a few servers that are always with standard-heavy population then have dozens of dead servers. I am going to transfer from Trayus Academy to Tomb of Freedon Nadd. Luckily I reserved my name there a long time ago (got a level 1 char). How do I proceed in order to keep it? Can I transfer and delete the level 1 char after the transfer is done so my main takes the name or do I have to delete the level 1 before transfering, risking to lose the name while the transfer is processed?

Diablo 3 killed the low populated servers. For example on Trayus Academy during prime-time (18:00-23:00 CEST) we used to be able to PvP with decent queues, usually there was always 1 imp vs imp WZ in progress and from time to time another imp vs republic. Since D3 I've never seen a imp vs imp WZ because there are simply not enough people queueing, even at primetime there are rarely more then 20 people on fleet. Only WZ available are vs republic and since republic has even lower population then empire, the queues are generally pretty bad. I still have 54 days left on my subscription, but there is little reason to login just to idle on fleet. I'd rather play Diablo 3 until they finally implement transfers.

Since Diablo 3 was released Trayus Academy is completely dead. I spent 4 hours in queue yesterday, during EU primetime (19:00-23:00 CEST) and only got 2 warzones. There is no point for me to pay for a game I cannot play, so I won't resub until they implement transfers. I was really hoping I could play Diablo outside primetime and keeping pvping during primtime, but it seems I'm stuck with only Diablo.

I'm really curious how many subscribers will be left after the end of May, when the free 30 days are over. My bet is around 450k : 300k US, 100k EU, 50k asia pacific.

700 replies and not even a yellow post from BW? This is currently the biggest problem this game has, and they just refuse to admit it. I can only imagine how much worse it will be next week, after Diablo 3 is out. I honestly think the game will die if they don't bring transfers before the free 30 days are over (which is at the end of May), only people who play on servers like Fatman or Freedon Nadd will keep playing.

PvP starts at 50, 1-49 doesn't matter.

From the Q&A So it's pretty obvious transfers will only be free from high population servers towards low-dead ones. If you want to move from low population to high you will have to pay for sure.

1.5 million? I bet there are hardly 200k players left, excluding the APAC who already got their transfers. Just wait till the free month is over and you will see how many subscribers are really left.

Judging by your behaviuor on this topic, you are either trolling or you're playing on Nadd/Fatman and you're so afraid of the people that might transfer and make you wait more in queue.

Maybe some people spent way too much time developing their main char to just start over? It took me months to reach valor 85 and I'm not far from full war hero set so why the hell I would want to start again from scratch?

Try using /who (like you can see in the screenshots from my OP) and you will see all the people on the server (200 results max for search, so if your server is alive you won't actually see everybody).

For god's sake look at the screenshots in my OP. They show the number of people online on the ENTIRE SERVER, not on fleet. I will take some more tonight at 9PM and you will see we don't have 200 people in total on both empire + republic. Again, talking about all the server (all planets, warzones, fleet put together), not fleet. I've been playing on this server since January, I am part of one of the most active guilds and I am one of the most active PvPers on the damn server so maybe I know more about it then an outsider like you?

We don't even have 23 people online on the entire imperial side for 3/4 of the day. Don't compare your highly populated server with ours. I am in the most active guild on imperial side, and we barely have more then 10 people online at a time.

I have no desire to start a new character since I dislike PvE and invested a lot of time in optimizing my main for PvP. I don't fool myself thinking transfers to good server will be free, on EU there are only 2 good servers - Freedon Nadd for PvP and Red Eclipse for PvE and both will require payment for sure. But that is not the issue, I already wasted my money on a 3 month subscription (have 98 days left, with the free 30 days) so ~20€ for a transfer is nothing. The technology is there, they already used it for APAC and no characters were lost. They could just do it manually and charge everyone who wants to move now, thus limiting the number of people who do it and also making them a lot of money. I'd still be happy, as I said all I am asking is to be able to play this gosh darn game, don't care if I need to pay a measly 20€ or something like that.

I really don't care if they want to wait to decide which servers get free transfers, just offer paid transfers now and keep the free ones for early summer. All I am asking here is to be able to play the game.
