  1. If you both play BH you won't be able to do the class quests together. If you both really want to play BH it would be smarter to go for a Merc(DPS)+PT(Tank) combo. Together with your Makos you will be able to solo all heroic quests.
  2. Widowmaker My name looks like this Homewrecker Vossk The Widowmaker Legacy which I find pretty cool
  3. Easiest to get full modable set would be the level 40 pvp one. Another really cool looking one is the mercenary elite prototype set http://tor.zamimg.com/torhead/uploads/screenshots/10632.jpg which you get from the taris heroics. But doing all heroics can be a pain in the ***.
  4. Great info Hibbsen, thx. One question though, I want to max aim over endurance and to do so I would have to combine them. Is there a set bonus for having all the pieces which I would lose if I combine sets?
  5. It's hard to level up as healer spec and I have no money to respec. If BW would give us dual spec, a lot more people would heal in warzones/flashpoints.
  6. Which set should I buy for my merc, Raptor or Pyrotech? I think Raptor is for merc and Pyrotech for PT but I'm not sure. They cost like 2000 WZ commendations so I really don't want to take the wrong one.
  7. I always chose the dark side, I love being a bad@ss mercenary who enjoys slaughtering innocents. I don't really care what Mako thinks, only got like 2k affection with her.
  8. Merc is not for anyone, it is easy to play but hard to master due to the need to overcome the whole turrent thing. It can get boring during leveling since your main rotation consists of only 3 skills: tracer, unload and rail, with the occasional death from above and explosive dart. As for warzones, get ready to have your *** kicked in 1v1 by any other class from the game, even if they are several levels lower then you.
  9. If you want to die go do Cademimu, you will wipe several times at the last boss because people just fail to understand a simple 3 squares kill you 1 square saves you concept. I did it several times in the past 2 days, always wiped at least 3 times.
  10. Nah, I wouldn't say Merc is overrolled. The most overrolled class empire side is inquisitor/sorcerer, I think >50% of the players are inquisitors, with the majority being sorcerers.
  11. No, it's just like powershot after level 20. They are both utterly useless.
  12. I am level 25 and have been PvPing for a while (skipped Balmorra and Nar Shadaa, just did PvP + space combat since level 16). The only "rotation" at this level is tracer till you get 5 stacks, followed by a rail. If enemies are grouped (around the ball in Huttball for example, doors in Voidstar, etc) open up with Death from Above, toss in an Explosive Bolt then start the tracer spam followed by rail shot. As for other abilities you should use - Electro Bolt, Jet Swipe & Rocket Punch (only with the knockback talent), Determination, Shield. Use electro bolt to stun people every time it's off cooldown, and when you get surrounded by enemies use Jet Swipe + Shield + Rocket Punch and make a run for it since you don't have a better escape mechanism.
  13. Same here on Trayus Academy EU, even if there are far more imperials then republic, republic seem to be much more skilled and work together in PVP since they always kick our ***. 8 out of 10 warzones are won by republic, and usually they end up farming us. Now I actually wish to play Huttball since it's the only place where I win like 50% of the times. I'm talking about 1-49 PvP (i'm level 28), no idea how it is for the 50's.
  14. For me maintenance is from 10 am to 6 pm, which sucks bigtime since I work in the afternoon (part-time 4 hour job) and basically despite paying for 30 days/month I only get to play 26... Why can't they do like Blizzard and do 2 separate maintenances during nightime for EU/US?
  15. Go Sorc, same PVE damage as Merc but much better in PVP.
  16. My BH is named Hugo. Goes well with the legacy name Boss.
  17. I always chose the dark side, I very much enjoy slaughtering innocents.
  18. I am wondering if I should go for the famous 21/2/18 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRRrbRboZ0MZbIbbdh.1 (getting the Shield tree first, then switching to Pyro) or just going full shield like this http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GMGrdorogzZMsZb.1? I would also appreciate a rotation example for each case. This is my first char, just got it to level 15 and I'm having a blast, glad I chose BH. Thanks for the help guys.
  19. I'm a dark side bounty hunter who loves killing innocents and Mako doesn't seem to enjoy it. If my rep goes down with her, can she leave? I really need her to heal me.
  20. I just hit level 10 with my BH (first SWTOR char, got the game this morning) and I really can't decide which path to take. I watched a lot of gameplay videos before getting the game and mercenary seems awesome in PVE, almost 1shotting large groups of enemies. Before SWTOR I played WoW for a while, my main there was a hunter and the mercenary seems to resemble the hunter from WoW. On the other hand, reading through these forums I see people saying mercenary is very weak in PVP and I should go for powertech. Is this true? Also, which one is easier to PVP with? I've never been too skilled in PVP and while the mercenary seems to be very easy to play in PVE, no idea how it is in PVP. And last but not least, how hard is it to tank flashpoints with PT? I've never played a tank before, and since I heard finding a group for DPS is very hard (since there is no LFG tool in TOR) I guess I'll have to tank. Thanks for the help.
  21. I keep hearing about this build and would really like to try it on my new PT, but I can't find the actual build, could anyone please link it to me? Also, since I just got my BH to level 10, which tree should I fill first for easy solo leveling? Shield Tech or Pyro Tech? Thanks.
