  1. -1 I would hate to see more points, as this would most likely lead to more unbalanced characters. Instead, I would much rather see the entire Skill Tree being reworked.
  2. Come on, look at WoW when THAT was only 3 months old! You can't make a new type of vehicle and expect it to perform as a car, since that is what you are saying. This game isn't a code ripped from WoW, it is written by the developers and as such, it comes with inherrent bugs, as any new game. Sure MMO's can learn from WoW, because they have had YEARS to develop their game, and by the way, WoW stole most of their Interface and general mechanics from Dark Ago of Camelot. Of course there is alot to address in SWTOR, because it's a new game and all new mechanics. That being said, the GTM needs a serious overhaul, but WoWs isn't perfect.
  3. Server performance should still be a priority over content, since new content comes with new bugs.
  4. VOIP isn't needed and would add more server lag and reduce the performance, wich really is NOT what this game needs.
  5. There are alot of suggestions, but perhaps not the biggest turn out here since you are alone on your macro idea and server wide chat. The first part I can understand and perhaps support, but not making faceroll macros.
  6. I have my main Sorcerer on 50, so I am well aware of how WZs are. Also, I'm an expericed gamer, with 30 years of playing video games and I can measure most games against alot of other games. "That other" game, wich is a measuring point for many today, really have come along way in alot of years, but the mechanics have changed ALOT since the time it was 3 month out of BETA. I know "that other" game as well. PvP isn't my biggest upper, as stated because I'm not really geared for it, since gear is half the damage output. I do like the fact that healers can now heal and still earn their medals instead of before. And I know how you feel about meeting old friends in WZs, though I meet them in FPs or doing my daylies. People I've had the pleasure of killing in Huttball (yes, I know my character and can kill a player) or been thrashed by. Even had some good chats with an enemy while casually strolling about Ilum in search of armaments (I find this an easier way to earn your commendations and get at least champion gear). The PVP less jerkish, that we can easily aggree on. But my view is that those jerks have returned to "that other" game or somewhere else. Mainly due to server performance (or lack there off).
  7. And most people came from WoW and can't stop the comparison between WoW today and SWTOR. How old is this game? Of course there is limited endgame and it is repeadetive, because it is still very young and by comparison, I would rather pay and play this, than WoW when it had only 3 months behind it. Those leaving because PVP is pointless or because they don't want to do the same quests over and over again, those players should just go back to WoW and repeat the same endgame that is currently the "big thing" there. Just like reapting EV or KP here. About running half across a planet to kill this or talk to him and all the way back again. Do remember that there are 5 quests along teh way, but you don't want to pick them up since you just want your class done and on to FPs or PVP. Nerd abuse is a common incident and more people are going to court of "nerd abuse"
  8. +1 Someone gets it! New games have alot of bugs and those needs attention more than new content. So I give this full endorsements.
  9. I do hope that server transfer is added and that they will make it free of charge and not follow a certain competing company who charges for it. *COUGHCOUGHBLIZZCOUGHARDCOUGH*
  10. One way could also be to remove General and Trade chat. Leaving players with only Shouts and Say. Those who would then start on about this and that could be met with /em stares at <NAME>, not understanding what he says If you want to roleplay, then make sure you meet those who don't with an appropriate respond. Example: Laughlin the Bountyhunter hops off his speeder and casually walks into the cantina on Voss. Some purple dressed Sith Warrior asks him, by name, what spec his computer is and if he is laggy. Laughlin looks at the unnamed warrior curiously and asks him how the warrior knows his name. The warrior types LOL and says he can read it over his head, wich makes Laughlin kneel and look up in horror only to find emptyness and the roof of the cantina above him. --- This is only a short example, but it wouldn't take the warrior long to run off since he is sort of getting mocked and never has his question answered.
  11. /rant Endgame in other MMOs is the same. Repeating over and over until you get the drop needed. The story sux? Space through storyline quest much?!? And since you clearly understand how Bioware developers should work, why haven't you created the ultimate game 100% bug free and perfectly balanced for all players and runs on every machine in the world?
  12. First up, how long have this game been out?!? I would also strongly suggest that developers ensure server stability and functionalty over content at this point. The game tends to lag and drag even on machines worth up to amounts of 1000 € with I7 processors and 2048 RAM and ****** graphics cards. Second, I support the spacecombat. But I'd much rather see the option to free flight in general. As you see in EVE, Black Prophecy and other games. This will open for co-op space combat and even PvP space combat. But I see this as something to add at a later stage. Certain issues should be worked on before that. Vehicles in PvP? Perhaps a turret here and there, but walkers? Perhaps enable use of speeders, but WZs aren't that big an area, so why? And lastly, a Jedi would NEVER cooperate with a Sith. NOT EVER!!! Rebulic troopers would also shoot first and take the enemy on single handedly, rather than trust an imperial dog. There are stories about a Jedi engaging an enemy alongside imperial troopers, but that Jedi is name Luke and that's 3000 years after this game and personally, my Sorcerer would take first chance to zap any republic without regard to the "common enemy". Any enemy will be crushed or I will die trying. (That last thing was for RP purposes)
  13. Perhaps a "tutor"/"big brother" system? Where you can register as "tutor" and through helping others you can earn social points equal to questing with that player? Maybe even earn Tutor Commendations wich can be used instead of credits to purchase from Social and Security Key vendors...
  14. Knockbacks are also bugged, because your target isn't really where it shows on your screen. This is server connection and lag, not the abilities themselves.
  15. Then go buy a single player game. SWTOR is MMO and should stay as such.
  16. What is messed up is that violence in games and random killing is frowned upon but watching the news from Iraq or some other war is news and not about murder... Is it sick to imagine owning a slave "once upon a time, in a galaxy far away" or is it sick to want the newest updates on how much blood is spilled in teh Gaza strip or if there is a new car bomb in Bagdhad today? Slavery is real even out of this game. It happens every single day and USA isn't even 200 years past this and not even 60 past equality of races! *** is alive today and neonazism thriving in many parts of the world. These 2 factions are even worse, since they would want to enslave and kill anyone who doesn't fit their squared view of the world. Sith have always used slaves in Star Wars and that is only reflected in 2 occasions.
  17. I don't do alot of WZs personally, I do enjoy the hectic combat but the wait is far too long I tend to rage over players who puts on eye patches and stare at nothing but what is right under their noses. I also dislike being geared for raids and therefore have a problem with killing others, since they have a much higher Expertise level than I do and thus deal far more damage to me than I do to them. But the fact remains that there are jerks in every game and some will go to great lenghts to ruin the game for others. One way or another. Of course, not everyone is like that, but how does the community fend of those who truly want to be jerks? Who want to ruin the game for others, since they can't get that 1 WZ nailed or even run around and pull mobs to try and get you killed in an aggro. The things mentioned are a bit off, I know, but exaggeration here sure did work as people got the underlying meaning. An easy way to address WZ queue would be to open for cross server WZs. This will reduce waiting times and will possibly result in more varied teams for both factions. But what about those who deliberately tried to be jerks towards others? Of course I know that connection faults happens and some others things can happen so you can't be around and have to leave in a hurry. But if you are queued for WZ, make sure you check in every 60-90 seconds or so, because it just might be up for you. If you queue for WZ, it is YOUR responsibility to keep checking it. Because you just might be the last one needed! Do note that I don't play alot of PvP personally, mainly because I would suck horribly due to wrong gear and hectic combat resulting in misclicks. But also due to sometimes there is 10 minute waiting and when the WZ do start, only half a team is there.
  18. Slaves as Imperial isn't far fetched. Sith Sorcerers start off as being a newly freed slave and the Sith Warriors gets a "slave" with a shock collar. Why is it sick and disturbing? Because it is WAY better to want to roam around a PvP server and kill other players? What's the difference in killing a slave and any other player?
  19. Here is your solution, nice and simple. Make a character on a PVP server! Problem solved!
  20. So your OP wasn't directed at your stealth at all, but server issues? I can follow that, but you only just mention this now. Server issues have nothing to do with your stealth ability at all. Though lag causes you to take damage after you hit your key. But that shouldn't give you 2 seconds invulnerablity, rather Bioware shoudl look into more stable servers. The "vanish" works just fine, as long as you remember to use it before it's half a second too late, due to server lag.
  21. I "abuse" my stuns in PvE, but I still think there is far to much CC in general in this game.
  22. Yes, things happen in real life, like one who mentioned he had to take his girlfriend to the ER. So I can make up excuses that allows me to pull my internet and say "Oh sorry, I had to... Uhm... Something..." and that wouldn't be an issue since it was "something that happened in real life". There is no fix for Jerk and there are far to many of those playing MMO games. I mistyped before, meaning to say that "Not joining when queued up ISN'T an act of malice by definition. But that doesn't really change the issue, doing something else while waiting for the WZ. It isn't hard for me to fathom anything at all and sure we can call it efficiancy to surf the web, watch non-PG13 rated material or even going shopping/cooking/fishing while in queue. But why do I have to get a bad experience becasue you want to be "efficient" and blowing off the game for something FAR mor important? Because what you say is that it's boring waiting for a WZ, and I aggree with that, and so you end up leaving the game to do something else and suddenly you miss the WZ because you found it more interesting or important to watch Hello Kitty on YouTube or find that one special music video someone mentioned. Consider this: I have a bad WZ, I pull my internet and log back into the game. Knowing that I have 5 minute lockout, I log into an alt. I queue up and tab out to watch Star Wars Ep. 4, I time out of the game. After the movie, I log back into my main, queue up and start to browse for loot drops and after 5 minutes I return to find I missed the queue. Then I log into my alt and do the same. In the course of 1 hour, I log into 2 different characters, queue up and do something else "while waiting" and every WZ is missing a player where my spot would have been. The next day, knowing that nothing happens, I rage quit 20 times on different characters since I suck at PvP and only want my 1 win for daily. Again, I have ruined the PvP experience for some by doing this, but I don't really care and it doesn't affect me in any way. So I decide to be a jerk (that word again, there is no cure) and I pull the plug over and over again. If I can't get my win, then none of my team members should get it either. Oh, and I do have otehr things in my life besides waiting for WZs. But when queued for a WZ, then I tend to check the game often, in case I can enter. If I miss it, I can live with the penalty.
  23. The Republic and Imperial fleets can't share the Market, since Republics and Imperials won't trade with each other, they'd rather kill the other and steal what the other had. If you want to trade with the other faction, go to a planet that offers a black market (like Nar Shadda, as mentioned).
  24. So I can be a jerk every 5 minutes instead of being a jerk always? How about I do this on 5 different characters?
