  1. I and many other who subbed from the start will have guilds that they don't want split from when they go ftp and in respect for the support we have given the game since start we should stay with our guilds servers.
  2. :rak_02:What I want to know is if anyone drops subscription this month and decide to wait for ftp and play that for the foreseeable future how many cartel coins will they have when ftp starts? In my case I pre ordered and played from the early access right through but on one occasion letting my subscription lapse by unsubbing for a few days just before renewal then resubbing Is this calculation right even if i unsubscribe before the August to September period - (months of subbing from very start of game) 8 x 150 cartel coins +200 cartel coins per month from September on until ftp starts
  3. Have characters in a players legacy appear in each others game in some way as a nod to their relationship in the legacy. I dont know how this could work though but to me it woulld be cool to run across other characters in my legacy during my current characters adventuring. Its probably pie in the sky though. Just far too difficult.
  4. Two areas that I want expanded upon are new personal storyline mission continuation and grouping rewards. The latter to hopefully encourage more group play. I would like to see social points on solo missions dropped but an ascending, automatic end of mission social point reward for simply completing every step of a mission with other players ( +2 with 1 other player, +4 with 2 players, +8 with 4 players). Also this reward should be repeatable with the next two suggestions / wants which would actually increase the value of grouping with others considerably. I would like storyline quests to be to be shareable with others to the extent helpers get xp, social points just for grouping and a loot reward at the end. I would also like to see every quest, except your own personal story quests, have a repeatable function with decreasing end xp reward so that to repeat a quest once gives 75% xp, a third run at the quest 50% xp and a fourth run at the quest 25%. But each repeat should still give the same loot reward and social reward value as describe in the previous paragraph. With an automatic social reward for just playing with others and quests having a repeatable reward structure, those folks who will already have done a certain quest once will have some encouragement to help other players in that quest again. This doesn't inhibit solo play at all but simply encourages grouping.
  5. Guild Wars 2 has got a blog up about how they plan to get people to come back even after they have played it through a few times and because it doesn't ask for a sub. They said its called make the game fun. It then goes on to explain how games with subs are just about rolling out updates every so often to keep people hooked with new poorly thought out mechanics and poor quality content all designed to require grind such as that for better gear to progress. Obviously that blog was subtly referring to SWTOR as much as other games. How right that blog is in regards to this game. The potential in this games rich lore base has been lost in its marketing strategy.
  6. In my case only if they are drastically reduced in price. This game may cost a lot but maybe if initial costs and salaries werent so high and executive / director greed wasnt so great subscriptions could be probably half the price. But when people are dying because they cant afford to eat or drink this is not such a crisis. This is a world of inequality based on some greedy nasty, selfish, ignorant and often evil people who want so much money they can burn it to keep themselves warm until thy die of old age whilst millions upon millions more die before they hit puberty because they cant even afford basic food or clean water. This is a crisis. At least players can vote with their feet and I can see that coming sooner than later in this game until it takes a subscription / f2p with cash shop model to make it span out a bit more.
  7. ROFL. Entertainment is emotion. The reason we like to be entertained is to feel good. To enjoy. to watch a movie for laughs, scares, play a game for excitement, listen to music for comfort. What other reason is there for entertainment? LoL Also though many of us including me get emotionally attatched to our work, that is NOT what work is primarily for for many of us. Many of us should not get enmotionally attached for "professional" reasons. So the opposite of your analogy is actually correct in most cases.
  8. Benny dont worry about any these people giving you a hard time. The internet as in life is fulll of people that think they know everything, they never learn from mistakes and just keep making them because they know better. In this case its a big mistake to think that with the amount of competition out there just now and in the coming months with Tera, GW2, Secret World and Archmage that Bioware will not have to be careful not to upset people or turn them off by for instance holding off update content until next subs or to coincide with other game events. The current business model may have to be looked at again so subs do not cost so much. Someone posted that nothing good can come of this thread. Well a great good can come from it. Consumers may get noticed and taken seriously.
  9. Rofl at all you folks questioning the OP daring to be "disrespectful" to Bioware or questioning capitalism or showing displeasure. The bottom line is if people aren't happy they will leave. How many will need to leave before Bioware pull the plug and you all need to get a new game. I'm not saying this will happen but in regards to telling people not happy that they can leave be careful what you wish for.
  10. You are right we are the customer and Bioware provide a service we pay for. Bioware did make a projection this would happen which is fine if they had also prepared for it which obviously they did not. How difficult is it to put a free transfer system in place and allow players on the lower population servers to make choice of which server they wish to move to before closing that server, if they wish to stay with their guild and name whichever friends they may want to stick with. Then can do the best to arrange this similar, possibly, as they did with the guild system on the website prior to thegames launch. HeavensAgent as I have had a few words with you in another thread too its obvious that you are heavily biased to Bioware and cant be objective. Its a point to note that debating with you is fruitless.
  11. ROFL Yeh life is funny that way. Isnt it? Open your mind to the force padawan. Sometimes black can be white when the white is just a piss poor paintjob.
  12. Off tangent but evil sucks as there really isnt ever anyone you can trust even a little when you are evil as your other evil brethren often want to get rid of you as much as the good side does. The further an evil person clicmbs up the ladder steppping on others, there is nearly everyone else below wanting to do the same to him. I remember when I played pen and paper games my friends would always choose to play bad guys and half the adventures we started wouldnt get finished because of infighting and backstabbing. At the end of one particular quest as we were all leaving the dungeon we all started backstabbing each other until there was only one left alive I think out of a party of 5 who took all the treasure. Sometimes playing evil was fun but sometimes it was empty fun if afterwards you realised you achieved nothing substantial.
  13. It saddens me to see theamount of people who think their experience is the way things are. There will be those who have managed to level with others near consistantly as there will possibly be those who have done the Essles Flashpoint just with their companion at level or close enought to level to get good experience still. There seems to be plenty more who feel they have had to play solo whether they wanted to or not and did the Essles with 3 other players. Observe, read, listen, open your eyes and see the experiences reported by the whole community. We cant always tell the liars and exagerrators from the honest. Not everyone can win a gold at the Olympics, be a millionaire enterpreneur or even be management staff in a factory. In life not everyone shares the same level of achievement for reasons including pure good or bad luck, not driven by greed or selfishness and simply not having the same level of ability and so on.
  14. Not sure why you laughed but Im with this quote... People shouldnt really need such an incentive anyway as they are supposed to be social animals. Unfortunately as the internet and these games prove there needs to be an incentive. Im confident the most popular meeting place ever invented is the Pub (Inn, Bar, Nightclub) or in the UK it was until smoking was banned and the price of public house alcohol became much more expensive.
  15. I played Warhammer AOE briefly and didnt like it for none of the gameplay style enjoyable. If the events that you are talking about were village attacks every so often then that was stale, repetitive and really not very dynamic at all. What I saw was the start point I was in being invaded constantly and no evolution of this in any way . The impression I get is its very different in GW2.
