  1. Exactly. You can get lucky if no one focuses a Powertech / Vanguard. But any Shock Spec Assassin can ruin your day fast and anyone who can kite you. Any good kiter will do it at around the 10m range where Grapple / Harpoon wont hit. This guy just got lucky in a match and thinks the class is OP. I can lay waste to more people than he can on a Sniper / Gunslinger who is left alone since I can keep stuff rooted and slowed for a lot longer than a BH/Trooper can.
  2. I speak a second and I do just fine. But the question is loaded as I was born in another country but have been in the US since I was 2 years old
  3. No other class can do 300K+ damage a match? My Gunslinger can and has at low levels. I am never getting him to lvl 50 because of the fact I can top damage in almost all matches. If you look around, you'll see more and more Snipers and Gunslingers as well as Marauders and Sentinels now in the the lower brackets.
  4. Nope, no Wookie for me. Ithorian, maybe.
  5. Dantooine or Dathomir. Naboo for a populated world because I want to kill Gungans.
  6. 108 players on Typhon last night on The Fatman.
  7. Just like how Bloodfin was the Unofficial East Coast PvP server, The Fatman is the Unofficial PvP server. Bria can diaf. BTW, how's Veela doing, lol Bria.

    Space Battle PvP

I don't understand how this pertains to my idea of space battle PvP. What you mentioned is in the game and not working or soon to be in the game. Outdoor PvP / Mass PvP was / is Ilum and Tatooine just no one goes there Rated = soon Cross Server will come in time And expertise wouldn't even figure into space battle same with augments So what is it you are trying to say in terms of what i posted which is an idea I have?
  9. Pretty much true. A shock specced Assassin / Shadow does incredibly high damage and is pretty hard to kill.

    Space Battle PvP

I've been thinking that Star Wars not only has players in it, but a big portion of Star Wars was space battles as well. This kind of something I've been thinking I'd like to see implemented (to break up the capture point combat 3 of the 4 PvP maps currently have). Capital ship battles. Make it 8 v 8. One person pilots the ship which would be slow and lumbering (kinda like the engineer ships in STO). Three guns per side so six players manning guns which would work like the guns in the current space battles (no tab target locks). Now the last person kinda of throws me what he should do. Maybe micro manage fighters to attack (you only get X amount of fighters available)? Maybe have him arm the missile tubes (front only)? Mine layer? So the battle starts in whatever field they want to use (asteroid, ice, opposite sides of a planet or moon, nebula). The battle starts. Capitals ships start moving toward each other. Fighters go out. Maybe have AI controlled support ships in there as well to keep things interesting. Win conditions would be total annihilation of enemy forces. So maybe 1 capital ship with player control and 4-8 support ships whether they be the smaller capital ships or mix of fighter carriers or mine layers which could be the 8th player controlled or mix of player and AI as well as the fighter support. Maybe have space debris for tactical strikes from behind or whatever. OR Have a player version of the Orbital Station defense. One person controls fighters coming out of the fighter bays. One player controls laying down a mine field around the station in a mine layer. One player per support ship or a capital ship (up to six in you keep it 8v8). And have it time based to destroy the station. Of course attackers would all be in cruisers or whatever. And have it like Void Star where you switch sides trying to do it. You can have this type of battle be 8v8, 12 v 12, 16 v 16. Whatever. You just mix in the number of capital ships, support ships, mine layers, fighter carriers, or standard player ships (not the actual player ones but standard ones) to accommodate the number of players for the map size. Just a thought to have space PvP as well in the game.
  11. Problems with PvP. - Shielding and armor should count in PvP, not just ignored. Why should items or talents be negated in PvP. - Why do the defenders have ways to get back to what they are defending so easily? Void Star, you literally spawn on the doors you are defending. Only way to take a door is *gasp* multiple group knockbacks, stuns, roots or simply being outgeared vs. your opponents. Same with Civil War. Why is there a speeder that takes you right back to the left or right position. Every time you die, you take the speeder back to that position rather than having to run back from the middle spot. if you were at the middle spot, it would be easier for the attackers to stop people from going back via running to help take over the cannon. Instead, you get a steady of people just simply flying back to the base of the steps. I am sure there are more but at work, no time to go listing them all.
  12. You can thank all of us Bloodfin people for bringing you a great server. Bria is bad.
  13. WoW never fixed C. There are servers with way inflated one sided populations. C kind of worked out on it's own when they opened up transfers and faction changes for $$$. I'll give you an example on my server. Archimonde had a bigger Horde population at the start. When the first transferred happened to Firetree, not many left. But when Mug'Thol opened up, lots of Horde left because of the long Q's and things kind of evened out on both sides for both servers. When I quit during AQ40, I came back for TBC but on Alliance side this time. Seemed to be more Horde out and about doing PvP and PvE. We were on top in terms of PvE but eventually lots of Alliance quit and most of my guild during WotLK went over to Horde side and Alliance was left limping again. I hear things have evened out again on their own. I rerolled on Trollbane with other friends but after a few months in Cata I quit again. Can't stand the game anymore.
  14. You on a PvP server? Go out and create your own PvP. Why do you have to rely on BioWare to create it for you? If you played any old game with PvP, you had to create your own. It's what made SWG fun as heck.
  15. Secret World combat looked odd to me on the 2012 GDC video they had. TERA was much better.
  16. Why do I have to wait 21 years to be able to drink alcohol? I mean I enjoy Mt. Dew which I can drink earlier but I would like to put some Southern Comfort in it but I can't so I am forced to drink just plain Mt. Dew for 21 years.

  18. You are pretty much right. I turn 42 this Summer and when I drive through Purdue's campus on my way to do whatever work, I notice that today's youth are all about gadgets. You see them all (especially the girls) talking on the phone at 9 am constantly or have iPods on and listening to music or they sit at the bus tops just texting away. Stuff is fast paced now as people are slowly expecting everything to be that was all around as well.
  19. I started playing EQ on May 24th 1999. Those were the good ole frustrating days of running around though Everfrost to Qeynos in the dark as a blind Barbarian.
  20. I agree that the credit sinks are necessary but some of them seem a little much. They even admitted themselves that 80% of the population doesn't even have 1 million credits. But this is a way for them to get you to do dailies and make busy work.
