  1. The speedhacks are annoying, but watch out as well, on my server (the shadowlands) a guy was spamming gen chat about how one of his guild mates has made a clipping hack (walk through walls) and is planning on starting to use it in PvP. ive never seen it done, but i would imagine that if there is enough data client side to spead hack, theres probably enough to clipping hack too
  2. ^this would be a great gift to give players who sub, make more incentive to level alts
  3. Force management on a Madness sorc is no more of an issue than heat management on a BH, energy management on an Agent etc. The reason it gets a lot of attention for being hard to manage is because of the Lightning tree. In PvE a full lightning built sorc NEVER EVER has to worry about how much force they are using. ever. Whereas in madness, you have to think about it every once in a while. Having Polarity shift on a shorter cooldown would help alongside making Lightning strike insta cast, in making lightning a viable PvP spec to be in. However, it would make sorc DPS completely OP in PvE. I can only imagine what my DPS would be in a raid if i could spam LS 3-4 times as many times as i do now, on top of the increase i would see in chain lightning insta cast procs. This is one example where I am going to say I dont want them to make a class i play stronger. I find it kind of fun to use a different spec for pvp than pve as well, breaks the monotony up a bit
  4. I know this is outdated and has already happened/not happened, but kudo's to you fine sir, for at least trying to get some big world pvp/battle going on.
  5. I agree that my Powertech is pretty darn powerful in 1v1 pvp, and I also agree that mercs are woefully underpowered for the most part. But i hate coming on here and being blasted for being a bad playe just because i rolled a powertech from day one. To me bad players are the players that refuse to try for objectives and just duel to get their medal count up. Believe me, if i get up against an organised team who know how to focus targets, my PT will get facerolled by a stun lock group just as hard as any other class will. OP makes it out like powertechs are invincible, and while they once were, now that we are a melee class (dont try and deny it) wihtout a gap closing ability, i feel like sort of a glass cannon. i can knock down half a players health in 2-3 moves, but unless im in a group with a healer, im pretty much gunna die in 4-5 seconds if a team so decides. Operatives have way too many stuns for a PT to mitigate, even popping bot defensive cooldowns. Honestly, i think this game is more balanced than people give it credit for. Smash-monkeys smash is overpowerd, yes, but only on players that truly know how and when to use it, same with stun bubble. FotM classes will always be a plague of online gameplay, but from what i have found, the truly great PvP players, the ones that you see on an opposing team and know it is going to be a rough fight, are the ones who've chosen a class and stuck to it, rather than changing every time a new fotm comes up.
  6. I understand why a lot of people are upset with the changes to phantom gear, and the spymaster gear, and to an extent the trailblazer gear. But please, can we try not to ***** about the trailblazer Helmet? It looks night and day better with the goggles and earpieces, and it seems everyone in my guild and on the shadowlands server feels the same way. i would be thoroughly PO''d if some ************ about the chest made bioware change the helmet back to the boring look it had before. the changes made to this, and to the revan set's were a postive thing, and we should give Bioware some credit instead of just constantly dissing them.
  7. I like the idea of a Force-elementalist type character. Ive been raiding with my sorcerer for 6 months or so now, and i dont think in that time ive used the lightsaber i carry even once. not even once. so: Force Lord (heals or dps) No lightsaber. Main hand weapon is a focus, but one that you can actually see, like an orb or something. Off hand can be a tiny dagger like lightsaber just to keep the lore up. Dps trees use a combination of Telekinesis, lighning, mind trickery, and other powers to do sustained damage over time. the damage would be lower than say a lightning sorc, but would have two key elements to make them valuable to any situation. First, mobility, as all of their primary attacks would be DoT's, they are insta cast, allowing easy battlefield movement. secondly, they have a very strong arsenal of buffs/debuffs. this is where they make up for putting less individual damage out than a dps sorc, as they hepl increast the surviivability and damage output of their team. Maybe one of their dps mind tricks would be like confusing basic ans silver mobs into attacking each other, or dropping their armor rating. the healing tree would be similar to the healing of a sorc now, but with a give take of slightly slower and lesser healing abilities, paired with very powerful armor/health buffs that can be applied. think like a healer with the ability to buff the tank for 25% increased health for a certain period.
  8. I think Yavin IV could have some cool stuff going along with the lore of exar kun's spirit still being alive somewhere there.
  9. Uhm, im using one of the shotgun looking things on my sniper right now for pvp, and it looks wierd but literally performs exactly the same. i just ripped mods from my sniper rifle and put them in it where they were an increase. i have noticed zero dps loss
