  1. Can anyone identify this chest piece? http://images.wikia.com/swtor/images/c/c6/Ss_chiss01_full.jpg
  2. It's a bit too hard. I did it last week with a PuG 16 man and it took me two groups and about 3.5 hours. That's with my sniper that pulls more than 4k dps on a dummy. The problems are that some players can't operate their toon. There's nothing you can do to fix that, and (2) dps and the enrage timer. I'd work on making (2) a bit easier. People that can't operate their toons should put the time in to learn how to or not do ops. Otherwise, SM ops would be so easy that there would be no fun in doing them (like tactical FPs).
  3. You have a point there. I played a sorc to 50 and it was amazing how op they were compared to my main. I mean, sorcs are currently immune to interrupts! (All though this is a lingering bug.) But I think it's probably a case of poor class balancing. Again, Bioware can't make a MMO, so they depend on story and the cartel market.
  4. Good point. I would say that I'm sane, though. The PvP was a lot of fun for a long time. Just got old. No story there. I do like SW. That's why I played in the first place.
  5. That's not too far off. Compare this game to Eve or WoW....it's way, way behind them in MMO features.
  6. A lot of thought and work would need to be put into a crafting system to make it work. I don't want to go there. Some people don't mind cash shops either, and that's ok. I'm not into them. As for the game being shut down without the cash shop, I agree. I don't think the Bioware devs can make a true sub-based MMO. It isn't easy. Just because you can write a cool RPG, doesn't mean you can make a good MMORPG...
  7. I agree. The Cartel Shop isn't intrusive. My only complaint about its existence is that it takes away from certain types of development; for example, designing cool stuff for crafters to make and sell. Done right, that could provide some interesting opportunities. Cash shops really limit a MMO's potential, but so does budgeting and lack of creativity among developers. My true complaint is that the cash shop is what gets most the attention. The "expansion" really is just a buggy, laggy daily area and some story. The talent re-organization was an uninspired attempt at doing something...I'm not sure what, really -- my class didn't even get a new ability, just a re-naming of a previously existing one with a buff that came from a nerf of an ability that was only nerfed in order to make the "new" ability seem new. The DPS rotation is exactly the same....As for ops, once you do the 50 operations and TFB on HM, you pretty much get the mechanics for ops in this game. I didn't read anything for the new ops, but was able to complete them easily with a random group -- basically, don't stand in **** and pay attention to what you attack. I haven't done them on HM, though. As for casual PvE, I really don't like tactical FPs. No strategy or skill involved with them. I do like the new 60 HM FP, but it takes days for me to get a group together that can do it -- I play at off times (my fault, I guess), but a cross-server queue should fix this for me. PvP? WZs are fun. Arenas are boring as **** and my class doesn't do well in them. The stats on the leaderboards proves this. There are few that succeed, but I really don't know how they do it. I tried and tried again. It's worse now than it's ever been. This is the main reason I don't like ranked: it's just not fun getting FF-ed down within 30s of combat every match. Not to mention the awkward "let's wait to see who attacks first" procedure. That's not fun either... So when pack after pack is released with some pretty cool stuff that is nearly bug-less, I feel frustrated. My toon has been around -- decently geared now with the right stats. Has 100 valor and about 40k kills since the achievement system came out. I've been around. I guess that's why I'm bothered by the state of the current game.
  8. The "expansion" added nothing but dailies and a few levels and some cut and paste operations. Tactical FPs have destroyed casual PvE. Ranked PvP too unbalanced and repetitive to enjoy. But guess what comes every month with new, creative ideas built into them? You guessed it -- cartel packs!! Even emotes are linked to the cash shop. And I've been paying a sub I feel like an idiot...
  9. I spend most of my time in game waiting in a queue. These days it isn't easy to do a HM FP at lvl 60 due to queue times. I've lost interest in the game now: I don't play an MMO to buy vanity items and solo run dailies. I play to cooperate with other people, and zerging in tactical FPs isn't cooperation!!
  10. No wonder.... If I didn't communicate problems of this magnitude to my customers, I'd be fired.... On a positive note, I played WoW for the first time the other day and wow! Cross-server queues and zero-lag game play. I'm not sure about class balance, as I'm only lvl 25, but from what I've read, it's balanced at max level. . All of this stuff should be in SWTOR. (Yavin 4 is absolutely pathetic in terms of lag.) How can you charge people money for this game in the state that it is in?..... You guys are about to lose a founder... And this is still around after the next ranked season started...
  11. Thanks for that. I will experiment with it.
  12. I improved slightly by dropping entrench first. But, if I'm FF-ed, it helps for a short time. I've also found that having a team that supports the sniper -- peels off/heals -- makes a huge difference.
  13. I'm having the hardest time preventing getting focused fired (FF) down within the first few seconds of the fight. I feel like our class is broken. Does anyone have advice for getting through a FF attack?
  14. I can't do ranked WZs, period, due to nobody being in the queue. I would think cross-server queuing would be the logical solution to this problem, not a feeling.
  15. You do know how much **** bioware has announced and went back on?? Were you around for 1.2? They lied for months leading up to that update. (All orange armor in the game was supposed to be craftable. Remember that?) Any long-term player would be stupid to take them at their word.
  16. Exactly. I've just recently figured out how to play my sniper in arenas -- positioning... The problem with this is that the other team figures out what you're doing by the second match, and it becomes a matter of getting them into the right spot. With a good team, this is a lot of fun, but a lot harder then just running and gunning.
  17. There are 952 VG/PT above 1500 rating. Compare that to the 41 snipers/gunslingers...
  18. Of course. All of that can be seen on the leaderboards. For example, there are only 42 snipers/gunslingers above 1500 in the game. Compare that to some other classes that have triple or more of that amount.

It will replace this game for me...I don't see a MMO I want to play often, but when I do, I know it and stick with it for a least a year or two. (I've only played this a SWG) (Unless of course this game can beat it out.)
  20. As a sniper, I get FF-ed 95% of the time. It's is damn hard to stay up. There are only 41 snipers/gunsligers with 1500+ solo ratings in the game according to the LB. I don't know how they got there.
