  1. SW:TOR free month expired today. today, i resubbed my WoW. Character doing exactly what I tell it to do at exactly the time I want it to do it. Owning it up in pvp like it's 1999. Winning.
  2. i'm sick and tired of hearing that this game is like wow. this game is unique and "special". it is nothing like wow, because if it were, myself and many many others would not be unsubbing. fail AH ability delay countless game breaking bugs in pve and pvp ability delay no customisable UI which even a ****** game like Rift has. ability delay no LFG tool, no LFG chat channel ability delay and many many more which i can't even be bothered to type any more. p.s. read the so called "ability delay" update carefully again. they aren't fixing jack, they are fixing some stupid bug which shows spells that should be on the global cd to show as if they can be casted, and another thing which is also not addressing the issue of ability delay. so yea, for a moment i thought i could resub to play but yea seeing as bioware is pretty much useless at feedback + action, it's goodbye. "you won't be missed, bye" seriously you think i care about you people? rofl
  3. seriously i don't even see why this is being discussed right now. virtually any MMO coming out now has Ui customisation so for such a huge game like SWtor to not have it was almost unthinkable. This is not some small debatable issue, it's a cornerstone of any good MMO's user preferences.
  4. I cannot believe that people are still trying to deny that this exists in game. There are countless youtube videos showing beyond doubt what the problem is and you only have to play WoW to instantly recognise the problem being discussed. In fact, you do not even need to purchase WoW, just play the free trial and within minutes you shall understand what the core issue is. It has gotten to the point for people where pvping is nigh on impossible. I suspect some people believe threre is no issue because they haven't played WoW before and have played other MMOs like Aion or Warhammer where this type of clunky gameplay is commonplace and the norm. The point is technically since everyone is subjected to the same gameplay, one could argue it is a level playing field and hence nothing should be changed. However, this is now viewed as the number one problem in the game which is disallowing itself from truly being an awesome MMO. I implore you Bioware, as the OP said, make fixing this ability delay your number one priority and try to at least give us a timeline for when a fix can be made or if not how long it might take. Most of us are coming to the end of the 1 free month and are really finding it hard to subscribe unless we can be sure this issue would be resolved. Like the OP said, I am definitely in agreement that I would be willing to almost forget and close an eye to all the other inconveniences in UI settings, bugs (for the most part) and other new game problems as long is this core issue is swiftly dealt with. Finally, please don't make me quit. I raid in WoW and during my offdays I really want to play SWTOR and enjoy it. I really want to love this game like I've loved WoW for the past 6 years. I really want this game to succeed and do well and be around for years to come. I really want to not quit. Please do your best to make this one change. Thank you.
  5. yea think im going to do that once my 1 month is up. i really don't wanna keep complaining but i really want it to work out cos the story is very nice but in no mood to concurrently sub to 2 mmos and not enjoy it.
  6. Honestly I am just mentally exhausted from complaining about the failings of this game. All i want for 2012 is for them to make the requisite changes and make them soon. No need for long-winded debate and argument over swtor vs wow. (not even a debate) No need for all the fanboys to come here and flame me. Bioware, I implore you, change we can believe in. Please. Do it now. Thanks. p.s. Save all the "Go back to wow then". I still play wow and I raid hardcore so yea, suck on that. Off days = swtor.
  7. that is like saying, we should compare cars that come out now to cars that henry ford made. seriously, your large wall of text crit me for 9001 unmitigated damage. they had a chance to copy the good stuff and improve on the rest. yet they didn't. just look at the AH, it is so fail i just get depressed having to constantly point out how terribad it is.
  8. how about the other points? the UI is annoyingly bad. did i mention smart camera? the AH is an absolute abomanation. on WoW i can search for something, check its price and then post it for sale with seconds. Here i want to slit my wrists. If i go on it only gets more embarrassingly bad. BTW to all those "then why dont you play wow" I DO. I raid hardcore. cos the end game is bloody epic and awesome and challenging and non bad compared to SWTOR. Heroic content is seriously challenging and a real test of my playing skills. SWTOR just frustrates me. But when i dont raid i play SWTOR for a change. So many ppl get the wrong impression. We want this game to be good, to be awesome, so we complain, hoping all the posts on suggestion forums etc will make them do something about it. Merely saying "go back to wow" serves no purpose.
  9. Same. I wish to highlight the most important ones. game breaking.
  10. i have no problem with his post whatsoever. no need to delve in specifics here but this is not a pioneering mmo in the genre like wow was. bioware had a chance to make this game awesome. instead they probably looked at wow and wanted to be "different". i can only describe that as akin to looking at angelina jolie and deciding to not copy and be "different" so you want to become fat and ugly. when something is good, copy it. we arent inventing the wheel here. your clunky gameplay is making me unsub.
  11. HAVE MY BABIES. this sums up perfectly how i and many others feel. the rest of you need to get over your blatant biased fanboyism and live in the here and now. this game is about 2/10. the story is very impressive but that is about it. once the story is done, im going to need to content with crap clunky gameplay, irritating UI settings, and the GOD FORSAKEN smart camera. rofl
  12. buddy you are either a) high b) deluded fan boy SWTORs combat is clunky and non responsive. do you even read the STICKY on the same general forum before you post your rant? whilst WoW's combat is totally smooth with characters actually doing what their players tell them to do at the time they tell them to do it. No, the combats are about as similar as dogs are to elephants.
  13. this is due to that fact that animations cannot be clipped like in wow. the game feels clunky and not smooth like world of warcraft. This is Aion all over again... but non korean.
  14. i have been playing wow for 6 years now and i only play swtor when i have off days from my wow raids. all i can say is how grateful i am that through all these difficult times i can get back on wow and by some great miracle my character ACTUALLY DOES WHAT I TELL IT TO DO. Bioware, i know this sounds like an alien concept to you, but if i press buttons 1 then 2 then 3 , i expect 1 then 2 then 3 to happen. NOT 1 song and dance 0.5 sec 2 doing the cha cha 0.5 sec 3 macarena 0.5 sec. For God sake this isn't some pioneering MMO. Go buy world of warcraft and look at how they allow animations to be clipped by the next spell all those donkey years ago (2004). FINAL NOTE: i have read a few posts on this thread and believe me, including myself, this game is going to fail so hard because of this issue which by the looks of it is either a) not going to be fixed or at best b) going to take a long time to resolve. i am actually leaning towards a) This beloved game of yours is going to fall by the wayside like AoC, Aion, warhammer, and all the other forgettable CLUNKY NON-CLIPPABLE ANIMATION games. my free 1 month is going to expire in about 2 weeks and i am def not subbing if this is not fixed. not even if you announce a fix. i mean like seriously unless i log in and SUPRISE my toon ACTUALLY RESPONDS TO WHAT I WANT IT TO DO, this is another customer lost. but don't worry too much about me because i will fall back on my ancient 6 year old crappy graphics game called world of warcraft which actualy allows me to play. forget all the other bugs and crappy non important issues, if you guys aren't dedicating all your resources to fixing this problem then i can assure you now, you are already screwed. i would just like to end my rant with a simple question. seriously, bioware, you guys didn't see this coming? surely you researched your biggest competition? WoW, AND you still messed it up. honestly that is fail IMO. Hope this gets changed but probably not, so was fun watching a bunch of quest dialogue...
