  1. Is there an armor set that warriors try to get that's similarto to the Supreme Inquisitor set?
  2. Is this armor rare? I have a few pieces in my storage and its always pretty cheap on the gtn. Most armor ppl look for is the supreme set that I see.
  3. Not sure if this has been suggested yet or not but it'd be great to have some 1,2,3, CC type marks instead of (or able to be toggled) the current pistol, saber, shield type marks. While I like they they're are Star Wars-ish, it can be difficult to relate to people in ops and such which order to attack. Not a necessity but certainly a helpful change.
  4. Exactly. I agree that it may suck for the time being but as I understand it, the crystal vendor will go away once 1.2 hits. But you'll still be able to make your +33 crystals to sell. And who knows, maybe there will be better crystal schematics to craft in 1.2.
  5. Because once you buy the schematic, you only have to sell 2 crystals at 125k per to make back your money. Any crystals you sell after that is just profit.
  6. I would absolutely do this for the armoring. All those augment slots can really add up.
  7. I'd just hold off on RE'ing items until 1.2 hits (pretty soon in March right?). Until then, just stockpile mats to craft. That's what I'm doing. I bought another warehouse storage space to hold all my mats.
  8. The money to take the mods out isn't much of a problem of course but who knows how much it'll cost to get a crafted one made. And it'll be expensive to buy one from the GTN. But then again, since there's really not much else to spend money on I could easily see myself going the crit crafted lightsaber route as well.
  9. I don't know anything about the SW timeline but it would be cool to have a quest or something to be able to get an Ewok companion. I'm just pretty happy there are no Jar Jar Binks companions...I would kill him for sure.
  10. Ah, well that's cool. I still don't think putting all the money into critting a lightsaber and then pulling the mods out of a columi/rakata lightsaber all for an additional +28 to a stat would be worth it unless you really like to min/max.
  11. Yes, I have seen them. That's why I started with "I think the appeal is..." and then finished up explaining why I don't see why even a lightsaber with an augment would be better.
  12. I think the appeal is being able to crit a lightsaber for the augment slot thereby making it "better" than the higher tier pve ones (columi, rakata). When you can pull out the mods in one of those lightsabers and put them in the gold crafted one you can have the augment slot for the additional +28 to whatever stat you choose. TBH, I don't think the extra +28 to a stat will really mean that much unless you like to min/max. However, I'm not sure how that would be much better since the artifact level pve lightsabers have the built in hilt with the same level mod in them as everything else in the weapon.
  13. Tonight doing EV normal we had 2 jugg tanks 2 sorc healers, 2 marauders, dsp sorc, and sin. Now, I know we probably had too much light/medium armor and no heavy. We got to SOA but couldn't quite down him. We had him down to around 10% at our closest before we wiped. I'm just wondering if our problem is our group set-up. We perform just fine but I think we may be lacking because of heavy armor, more class buffs. This isn't the way we run all the time. It's just who we had available tonight.
  14. I'm hoping to find a good group configuration for normal-hard mode operations. We don't have many operatives or BH's in our guild and I have a feeling that's hurting our ability to run operations. I know some of these fights can be done (EV) without having those classes but it seems like it may be easier with the extra range dps and buffs they provide. Any thoughts from your experiences for what classes make up a good ops group dynamic?
  15. Make sure you check the crew skills vendor too. They sell fluxes and some other items needed for crafting. But yes, it may take a little longer but you can get everything you need just from missions or in open world gathering.
  16. Like dukibritches said, you'll want to pick up Columi armor before you head into HM ops. I find that I prefer Madness over a Deception or Darkness (I've done the tank thing-wanted something different) simply because of the versatility that I find with it. Especially with bosses that can do quite a bit of close range damage, I will go down fast in light armor so I prefer to be able to do a mix of melee and range attacks. You'd be surprised how much damage you can put out when you keep those dots pouring over the boss. I've managed to pull hate from a few tanks bc of this (Obviously not a good thing for me lol but it can give you an indication of the damage I suppose) and I'm not amazingly geared for pve yet. Darting in for some quick melee to get a Raze proc for instant Crushing Darkness is nice and for me provides some fun game play other than just standing apart casting skills. I think it's hard to give a good rotation for it bc I tend to find it pretty dependent on the situation. You'll of course want to keep dots active and use Death Field whenever it's off cd and use thrash for those raze procs and such but for a standard rotation...you'd probably just have to play around with it and see what you like.
  17. I'm not sure if this is what you're asking but you can bind it to a key or button on your mouse and the red 'field' will appear basically attached to your cursor. You will still have to position it and left click to cast it but it's the closest I've been able to get. Since I'm using a Naga tho, it's really pretty quick and easy for me.
  18. This skill thing happens to me sometime. oops! I've had my relics 'grayed out' and it looks like they're not there anymore but they're still usable. Took me awhile to figure this out...
  19. I assume you've been selling your mats you get from UWT and scavenging? Are you on an underpopulated server? This might be limiting your ability to make money. I find that on my server I can easily make money through selling mid level blue mods, blue-purple armoring, and blue-purple earpieces. I haven't tried droid parts or crappy grenades but through selling what I named, farming mid level heroics for gold gear (and vendoring the ample greens-putting blue drops on the GTN) and doing dailys I have more than enough money to cover buying stims/medpacks, fixing my armor, running gathering missions, and crafting. I'd say it largely depends on your server and what is in need. It is absolutely possible to make money through crew skills (gathering and crafting). Just spend some time on the GTN and see what is lacking. Then target that market. I make some moderate money through slicing but I manage to sell quite a few of the single-use gathering missions, augments, relics, and dropped armor that comes back in lock boxes. Of course, the best way to make money through slicing is doing so with open world nodes. If you have some down time you might consider finding a place with several nodes close by and slicing them over and over. This is especially great in the higher levels. The wait time for them to respawn isn't that much time at all and you can either send your companions to craft or go on gathering missions while you do this to help prep you to make even more money on the GTN.
  20. Hmm..I wonder if this changes from character to character. I have UWT on my main and my alt and i always have metal missions available. Not of course for all 5 companions (on main) to run but at least 2-3 (sometimes 4) metal missions. If I don't have enough of the T6 missions to run, I just drop down a level for the rest of the 5 companions and send them on those. And when one companion is done, there is always a metal mission available for them to go back out on. On my alt I only have 2 companions atm so there's always plenty of metal missions to go around. I will agree though, the 'drop rate' for mandolorian iron seems to have decreased quite a bit over the last week or two.
  21. jkcheng, that's perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. It hits the numbers I want with the pieces I want. Thanks so much.
  22. Interesting that you went with Insulation and Dark Embrace. I can see how Insulation would be useful in Madness spec bc any bit of extra armor helps. I put the 3 points into Electric Execution since there is basically no cd on lightning charge discharge right now. Not sure it's really that effective but I was unsure what to do with the remaining 3 points... Out of curiosity, why not put the remaining point in Duplicity instead of Dark Embrace? I still occasionally use Maul and do around 2k damage with it (more in pve) so I would think negating 50% of their armor and the 50% less force cost would be helpful if you're in close. I can see some value in DE but I suppose it's more about play style than anything else.
  23. If torhead can be believed it seems that you can not only RE it to a better version but also mastercraft it. However, im not sure about implants but the earpieces take like 8 mandalorian iron per craft so unless the RE rate increases dramatically I don't think its worth it for the minor added stats. Especially when you can get rakata ones from dailys in less than a week. Selling them would be cool if you have a desirable schematic but RE'ing them seems like a waste of mats.
  24. Ah ok. Well he mentioned fp's so I assumed he was talking about the pve dailys. But yes, I agree. All specs are viable but it just depends on your play style and what you enjoy.
  25. Im not trying to swap crit for power. I want to keep my crit level close to 35% and then stack power but all the columi stuff has power and extremely low crit. (I think only on gloves and helm?) But I was hoping to get some stat numbers from ppl in full columi with rakata implants and earpieces bc that will be my goal set for pve. Im just wondering if ill have enough crit to make it worth it at that point or if ill bebetter off swapping some of the columi power mods out for crit mods. But id rather not do that since im having trouble finding high level crit mods other that the daily ones... :/
